Final show piece.
After struggling for a long time with ways of displaying my work inside a show setting I have settled on the idea of separating the soundscapes into five different sections. This is mainly because I feel like without the prompt go the location, listening to the entire audio guide may be a little boring and feel very irrelevant. This is also the reason that I have cut out a few bits of the guide, mostly the sensory information such as the comments on the smog and the wind. Incuded on the side, my QR code scanner which will link people to my website.

New plaques and site testing Unfortunately I was in a bad position when testing my site. The plaques were up for only 26 mins before police were asking for them to be removed. In the past I have been fine to put signs up (although other people feel the need to remove them and mess with them) however I feel that in light of recent events, putting up a set of unusual signs in a city centre might seem a little bit odd. I will try one more time to re set my audio guide. In a positive note I was happy with how well the quality codes worked and also with the overall effect of the audio guide.

Due to calibration issues I have had to create the same website but for use on a mobile device. The main difference being that the information page is now spread between five different pages.

The audio guide is designed to work on mobile devices and in order for people to go to the website they need a quick way to access it. These banners have qr codes that quickly direct potential viewers to the website

The website that I have developed includes information about the sources of the stories discussed, contact information, a little bit of general information about the guide and a link to my tumblr blog. I have tried to make the site simple and easy to navigate with only relevant information.

Materials purchased for the display include 5 mp3 players and 5 sets of headphones . I plan to loop the tracks on the mp3 players concealed within the boxes.

I've really been struggling to figure out how to display my work in the Margaret Street and of year show. Considering that my work is designed so specifically for another environment I don't know how to make it work outside of that environment. I have two options in my mind, replication or documentation. Either I could replicate how my audio guide may work in its location or document how it did work. Previously I began looking into creating a brick wall to hang my work on but unfortunately this idea is logistically not an option. Instead of this I think it would be better to simply display the plaques from the street with the accompanying section of the audio guide.

Stuart and Lisa kindly came out to the site to give me some last minute feedback for my audio guide. The main points that I need to alter is the navigation aspect (need to advise walkers where the blue plaques are and also how quickly they should be walking) to make the end more significant and to make the guide slightly shorter.
