Is anyone as bewildered as I am about the sudden and incongruous twist the writers forced on us in s9, to have us believe Lucas North, who loyally served MI-5 (and spent 8 yrs in a Russian prison!) is really a homicidal coward, and would rather die than own up to his dark past?! Although Richard has said he was pleased with the way Lucas/John went out, if possible, would you have changed it?

Thorin Thursday 👑⚔️🏹 BTS of The Hobbit Thorin and Dwalin were distant cousins, both descended from the first king of Durin's Folk and raised together from a young age, almost like brothers. Dwalin remained loyal to Thorin and helped him break free from the dragon sickness by reminding him, "you were always my king." No wonder they're besties! On and off set, Richard and Graham McTavish maintained that close bond. 🎬😊

Midlands Movies Awards has moved its event one week later (from Saturday, June 14 to June 21) so it no longer conflicts with Capital Crime. Richard should be able to stay after his Capital Crime panel program to sign books at the Goldsboro Books onsite bookshop.

EDIT: Just heard from Michael Sales at Midlands Movies that Rich won't be attending either night of the Awards, so apparently the conflict never existed. 🤦‍♀️

Sunday Sunnies 😎☀️😎☀️ Richard joins other Hobbit/LotR cast members to support director Peter Jackson as he receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (Dec 8, 2014).

To mark World Archery Day, Richard displays his bow skills on set and BTS as Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood and Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit. ⤵️ Both chaRActers spend more screentime in swordplay than archery, although unlike Guy, Thorin uses his bow only twice -- in Mirkwood against the white stag and from the Erebor ramparts to threaten Thranduil and Bard. 🏹
