Perhaps it will put your minds at ease or not but, I do know for a fact that your kids I know personally have not check out anything you deem is trash.” Eren replied coolly, “Now for your children friends you really have no say in the matter since I have a signature from their parents agreeing to let them check out book that’s above their age. From that point on it became a long meeting that tested even the most strongest of saint control. It’ll save time on training too...” Eren mused as he set a book to the side just so he could pick up another to look for damages before checking it in. ‘It’ll be easier to court him if we work closely together...’ He hummed to himself, Eren lost himself in thought while his body took over on instinct to get things done... ‘But, where should I take him? Shuffling some books around he didn’t see or feel anything out of the ordinary but, there was definitely a scent of blood here. Sniffing the shelves once more he could tell it was human. Tonight was going to be the night he cooked for his mom, he had been practicing for days with Zander so that he could surprise her. He also had ulterior motives of cooking for Eren but he still wasn’t confident he could give it to him face to face. He had decided when he finally feels confident enough to actually cook the food, since he knew Eren ate a lot he wanted to make just as much as he could eat, he would leave it on Eren’s desk at the library when he was busy elsewhere.

He couldn’t even concentrait on the book in front of him because his eyes kept being drawn to Eren as he worked. There were a few times when Eren had caught him and at least twice he wasn’t fast enough to look away and had to tell Eren he didn’t need anything. He had another cooking study session with Zander soon so he took his books up to the counter to check them out.

Levi didn’t bother reading the book to much and mostly just flipped through it while watching Eren. He always read the books he checked out with his mom. Even the smutty ones Eren recommended to him, they both enjoyed reading together after she got off work. Levi for some reason didn’t need a lot of sleep, since he was little he had always had a hard time sleeping so he would be up until late but still woke up early. They had tried medication but nothing work and since it didn’t seem to affect his health they simply left it alone.

Blushing hard when Eren said he hoped he likes the book, he nodded. It looked like it was going to be a good read just from skimming through it. He’d read it fully with his mom, it was their tradition since he was small and when they first became a family. It was a small family but it was his none the less and he was happy with it. It wasn’t as if he didn’t want to know his birth family because if they came to him wanting to get to know him he would. Though he wasn’t going to go out of his way to hunt them down.

After checking out his books he hurried off to meet Zander because he had lost track of time watching Eren work and he was running late. Zander knew right away what had kept him when he hurried into the Home Ec classroom. Zoe was waiting there with him sitting on one of the counters next to the once Zander and Levi would be using. The twins were chatting back and forth about something that had happened at home with their parents latest experiment.

Levi was probably the only person who never judged Zoe outside of her family. She had helped her parents with their work since she was knee high. Often she would tinker with something they were having trouble with and fix the problem they were trying to figure out. Zander helped too sometimes, he was just as brilliant, however he had different interests then science like cooking and home crafts such as sewing, mending, crafting such as knitting and crocheting.

People often saw the things Hanji did as bad, like the year he had met Hanji at the National Science Fair and Expo. They had both entered, Hanji had entered a functioning rocket she had built with knowledge she had gained from books locked in the restricted section of the Library. Kaito and Gabrielle Hanji are well known and respected Scientist, enlisted as Reverie’s Royal Inventors. Their jobs gave their kids an automatic entrance into RRA. Their twins inherited their brilliant minds which had showed when they were still small.

Zoe was always more drawn to science of all kinds even since she was small which was a stark contrast with her twin who prefered homey skills to scientific ones. It wasn’t that he didn’t understand everything or couldn’t do the same things, it was just that he wasn’t interested in making that his profession. Hell using his vast intelligence he became the most advanced student in the entire school when it came to Home Ec and even got moved into the College Division as the TA and was taking full University courses in Home Ec. He was almost finished with the course too.

Zoe, Zander, and Levi had become fast friends during the expo, thanks to Zoe’s recommendation he transfered to RRA when his mom got her new job and they had to move. He had met Hanji after the whole growing scales and breathing fire, though for some reason his mom seemed to think since Zoe had caused the cat ears and tail she was somehow responsible for that too. She wasn’t. He hadn’t even known her until after that had started.

Even though he had never really had friends before thanks to his wicked smart brain, thanks to the twins he had made a bunch of friends since coming to this school. It made his mom super happy. He was working on getting her to lift the ban on Zoe coming over to the house. It had been two years since he got the ears and tail, and Zoe hadn’t done anything else since. She was totally scared of his mom, he fully understood that though since his mom could be super scary though she never directed it at him.... Often at his Uncle Kenny though.

“Levi! How was the summer job?” Zoe asked animatedly.

She and Zander had gone back to Reverie with their parents for the majority of the summer and had only been back for a week and a half when Zander and Levi continued with their lessons in the afternoon while Levi’s mom was at work. They came to the school to do the lessons since the school was always fully stocked for the students to practice with.

“It was nice. I made some good money.... And Eren even stopped by a few times.” He said with a heavy blush.

His admittance had the twin siblings grinning at him. They were some of the first people he had shared his sexual preference with and who he had a crush on. Though they were both heterosexual themselves they weren’t the type of people who cared about such things nor were they the type to try and force their own sexual preference on other people.

“Have you asked him out yet?” They asked at the same time.

They were well aware that Eren had a thing for Levi since they had spied on them to check Eren out and they approved of Levi’s choice since Eren had a great reputation as a person all over the RRA. Levi wasn’t as knowledgeable about such things so they were let him take it slow. Though they were constantly trying to encourage him to take the next step like he’s been talking about wanting to.

Levi hung his head and shook it because he still hadn’t worked up the nerve though there had been plenty of opportunities to do so. They chuckled and wrapped their arms over Levi’s shoulders and nuzzled their cheeks into his.

“Don’t worry about it too much.” Zoe said first.

“Yeah you go to the library like it’s your religion so you don’t need to worry since you’ll have more chances in the future too.” Zander grinned at him and ruffled his hair.

It was at this time that the new Student Council President and her twin, who was also the VP, walked into the Home Ec classroom. Alexis and Adrian Von Drehle had silver-white hair that held a tinge of pink and exotic eyes that were a blue-purple-pink mixture unless their emotions ran high turning them a reddish pink color. Most people assumed they were albino, however they were not. This was just a special occurrence that could happen to certain Born Immortals.

Their older brother Alexander had been the Vice President and their friend Erwin Smith had been the President before the two of them had graduated this year just before summer vacation. The RRA student body holds Council elections just before summer break so that when school starts once again the Student Council can hit the ground running to keep things running smoothly for everyone who relies on them.

The Von Drehle twins had won in a landslide and had taken over their positions just today. They had an opening in the student council for the position of Library Representative. The person who had been appointed during the election had to step down due to personal reasons and as the elected President and Vice President they could appoint anyone they chose and agreed upon. Though they had put it to the entire Student Council offering three different candidates and Levi won with a unanimous vote. Now they just had to ask him.

“Levi, we have an important question to ask you.” Alexis was the first to speak as they stopped a short distance away from the three that were glued together.

Turning slowly because the Hanji twin’s wouldn’t let go of him he turned his attention on Alexis and Adrian. He flipped Adrian off for snickering at his squished state. Even Zander and Zoe were blinking at the other twins waiting for their question to Levi because they were both curious. The four of them had powwowed the day before on how to get Levi closer to Eren but no one could come up with anything. Alexis and Adrian had jumped on the library rep position for him and offered up other candidates that couldn’t hold a candle to Levi.

“We have an opening on the Student Council. The student who was occupying the position had to step down for personal reasons. We put forward several names to the other members and they all voted unanimously. On you. The position is Library Representative.” Adrian explained in a long roundabout way.

“Will you accept the appointment?” Alexis asked with a sly smile curving her lips.

“YES!” Levi nodded vigorously making Zoe and Zander’s heads to shake too.

There was absolutely no hesitation in his acceptance of the position because he knew exactly what it detailed. He had to help out the last rep a lot since they didn’t know their job very well and it gave him an excuse to see Eren more. Zoe and Zander gave Alexis and Adrian thumbs up out of Levi’s sight. They fully approved of this new development. Perhaps being so close to Eren and having to spend time working in the library, and a free pass to skip class time for library work.

The Library Representative on the Student Council had special allowances, and only had to pick a single day a week to attend regular classes. They got their class assignments regularly and everything else they just only had to go to class one day a week. However, this was only for serious reps because they were required to attend classes unless they were going to be in the library or running errands for the purposes of their position. If they were they were supposed to be in regular class. This way the students couldn’t use the benefits of the position to play hooky.

Adrian handed the file he was carrying to Alexis who walked over to the counter nearest to where Levi and was standing and opened it up. There were some papers that needed Levi’s signature to make his position official. After they got his signature they had to take it to Eren for his signature and approval. They had no doubt he would sign. It was Levi after all. Zoe and Zander both let go of Levi so he could freely sign the papers, initialing and dating where indicated.

Once he was done Alexis scooped up the file, closing it once more, and tucked it under her arm. Saying their good-byes she and Adrian made a beeline for the Library to get Eren’s signature. Once there they had to wait an hour since he was in a meeting with the Academy Director and the PTA. Apparently some of the parents were complaining about the accessibility of certain books to younger students. They were calling for the removal of the books though Eren managed to hold them off while he comes up with a more reasonable solution.

“Sorry to bother you Eren, but since it’s the first day of school we have some pressing matters to take care of.” Alexis started out.

“Unfortunately, Milo had to step down from his position as Library Rep. Good news though we have a new candidate who has accepted the appointment.” Adrian chipped in cheerfully.

“We know you’ll approve of the appointment. We just need your signature so we can finish the paperwork and get him his credentials.” Alexis said smiling brightly and handing over the file for Eren to go over and give his approval in writing.

They both somehow managed to remain silent when Eren’s face dropped down on top of his desk at the news of Milo quitting his position. They knew it was just another bit of bad news on top of the parent drama he had just had to deal with. They wanted to chuckle because they knew he would like their solution to filling the position.

“It is completely legit. We put five candidates to the rest of the Student Council and Levi was chosen unanimously. Then we asked Levi if he would accept the appointment and he, as you can see, accepted of his own free will.” Alexis said looking affronted at Eren’s suspicious look at her and her twin.

Sure the vote was a little rigged since none of the other candidates could hold a candle to Levi. She wasn’t going to admit that in her head or out loud. Neither would Adrian since in their opinion it was a completely fair vote. They didn’t tell anyone who to choose. Nor did they give any inclination that they would prefer Levi to get the position. It could have went four other different ways from the way it did.

Eren was flipping through the papers reading them. She didn’t know why since he should have the damn thing memorized after three years and Library Reps from each division having to be approved by him. The paperwork was all the same, no changes or amendments were needed. The only divisions that didn’t have onsite staff at the library through their reps were Elementary through Junior High. Their reps still worked with the library but they didn’t work at the library.

With a sigh she realized he was playing hard to get because he was suspicious of them and their motives for nominating Levi. Standing even straighter, if that was even possible. She squared her shoulders and played her hand.

“Alright Eren if you don’t want to sign right now you can either get us the paperwork by three today or first thing in the morning... That is if you decide to approve the appointment. If you get it in today we can have Levi working by today, if you wait until tomorrow it could take up to three days since we get flooded with paperwork starting tomorrow, or if you decide not to approve him we’ll let him down gently. Though I’m sure he’ll be heartbroken since I barely got the end of the question out before he accepted.” Alexis threw out since it was the truth.

The first day of school the Student Council was making sure everything was ready for the second day when all the groups, clubs, and teams could put in their request forms for budgets and upcoming events. The amount of paperwork would have the entire SC out of classes for the first week of school. That was approximate only dependent upon how efficiently the SC worked together to get the workload done.

She was about to leave him to it when he started putting his pen to the paper and then handed her the file with an accusatory look. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes and looked at him pointedly because he knew she was right. It had happened the first year he took over. He didn’t get the paperwork for the Library Reps in all divisions turned in until the second day of school and had to manage everything by himself for three days while the paperwork was processed.

Alexis has been on the SC since her freshman year which was the year before Eren transferred in and took over the Head Librarian position at the library. As a member of the SC she often had to run errands for Alexander and Erwin when they were in charge for the previous three years. It was about the same time that Levi transferred in as well. She and Alexander had met Udup Imani and his older sister Ria two years ago. She and Alexander were alike in the fact that they had fallen for the siblings.

It was nearly three-thirty when the paperwork was fully processed and Levi was the official Library Rep for the HSD. While Alexis and Adrian waited for the paperwork to be processed by the main office they spent the little bit of free time they had catching up with Levi, Zoe, and Zander. They all talked, told stories, laughed at and with each other. All the while Levi and Zander were making different dishes, talking back and forth, and improving upon some dishes by switching up the flavor adding some herbs and spices while leaving out one or two others if it needed it.

They had fallen into a comfortable silence while the food was cooking and filling the room with an irresistible aroma. Levi had been busy stirring for a few moments before he cleared his throat still looking down into the pan to keep an eye on the food so it didn’t burn.

“Thanks for remembering what I said before break...” A blush reddened his cheeks all the way to his ears.

Both sets of twins smiled at Levi because it wasn’t something he needed to thank them for. Before break Levi had been asking them and his other friends how he could go about getting to know Eren better. No one had any idea what he could do aside from asking him out or spending more time with him. Levi was to shy to do anything too extreme but he wanted to work up enough courage to ask Eren out.

It was Levi’s request to them to figure out away to get closer to him without the need for courage. If it was work related Levi could get to know him better and he would have an excuse to spend time with him. He could ease into things slowly because he still wasn’t sure of himself. Alexis’s smile was the first to falter however because there was something Levi needed to be reminded of.

“Remember Levi, we were able to find you this opportunity because you wanted to get closer to him... Now that you have it the rest is up with you. Like everything it will only produce as much as you put into it.” She said softly.

Levi’s jaw tightened with resolve as he nodded at her as he met her gaze for a moment. He quickly returned it to the food though so he could continue to monitor the food for burning. When Alexis and Adrian got multiple notifications about some of the paperwork that they had entered was finally processed they had to go take care of it leaving the other three to their cooking, well two out of the three were cooking.

It was now after four and the Von Drehle twins were done for the day, all the paperwork they had was finished and filed. Everything was in perfect order for the start of hell week. Before they left they dropped Levi’s credentials off with Eren since they had told Levi to go pick them up at the library first thing in the morning when he got to school. Levi had some shopping to do before heading home but he wanted to get at least another hour of practicing even though Zander had to head home for the day with Zoe since they had to do a delivery for their parents before coming to school in the morning.

Cold and raining like a storm Kuchel Ackerman was just coming home from a long day from work when she could hear a baby sniffling. She just thought it was someone’s else’s baby inside the apartment complex making that sick noise. She tried to ignore it until the sound got louder the closer she got to her apartment. She looked around to see if maybe a window was open or if she could see the child through the passing of windows. She was tempted to start banging on doors because the sound it’s making was worrisome. Imagine her surprise when she found a bundle of thin blankets in front of her door.

Kneeling down she picked up the wigging little thing and in her heart she knew it was a baby when she pulled the dirty sheets off of the flush face of a beautiful baby she touched the baby flush face and got back on her feet the baby felt like it was on fire and it needed help. It was hard running on heels down steps but, she managed it regardless and awkwardly held him in her arms as she drives to the nearest clinic that was twenty four hours. The place had everything so hopefully they could handle what was going on with him. She kept talking to him even when he started to yell. 

She put the old bucket of a car into park and got out with him and her purse she almost forgot about her key that she had to rush back snatch the key from the ignition and hurry hobble into the clinic. She talked to the reception girl telling her it’s an emergency the baby was hot and he’s been crying non-stop the moment she picked him up. She told him that the baby was abandon in front of her apartment door. She had no other relative other than her brother Kenny and she knew for a fact he doesn’t have a kid or an ol lady he was sleeping with. It sounded crude but, her brother was an old gangster he knew better than to abandon a child.

Kuchel stayed with him even though the police wanted to remove her because she was a suspect for abusing a child. When her brother showed up all out of breath because his adorable dumb but, didn’t take his car. The police thought twice of touching her when she settle her ass in a chair beside the baby. She never once left his side.

“Kuchel, you did everything you can for the baby. He’ll need to go with cps so he can be adopted into a good home.”

Kuchel stroked his hair and smiled at the sleeping one, “No. I want him.” She replied as she nuzzle the baby with her nose. Naturally Kenny tried to reason with her she was over worked and he was aware of the other income she sold herself to. “Kuchel.”

“It’s final, Kenny and thank you for worrying about me but, someone dropped this baby in front of my door step and I’ll be damn it I let him get abandon a second time. So Kenny you’re either with me or against me but, this bundle of cuteness is non-discussion-able.”

Kenny merely throw his hand up in the air, “Fine, have em then but, I’m helping and that my adorable little sis, is non-discussion-able.” Kenny looked at the brat whose finger is curled around on one of Kuchel finger.  

Years passed by and Kuchel finished nursing school and got a job at one of the hospital that had good pay and benefits. She worked and pushed herself she is often working overtime on the night-shift so she can be with Levi during the day. Night shift pays more and she always get a little extra income doing overtime. She hasn’t sold herself since the day she picked up Levi off her door step and Kenny couldn’t help but, like the little brat. She even moved to another apartment complex. They had newer stuff and the place was a lot cleaner from her last one. Kenny was the one who recommended this complex since it had everything they’d need. Plus this place had three bedroom and two bath which was modern and convenient.

And every night since she took him home she’d read him stories or sing him lullaby until he told her she doesn’t need to do it anymore. And once school started for Levi she was there for every school activity and or field trip. When Levi had a bad nightmare she’d tuck him in her bed and read to him of the many books he’d check out from the library or eat junk food late in the night watching movies or random TV series. Kuchel made sure to tell him every day that he could talk to her about everything. She was only too happy that he was comfortable to tell her that he was gay. She accepted him this was her baby her son that she raised with her sweat, blood, and tears. She raised him to be accepting and not to be afraid or ashamed of who he loves rather it was a man or a woman. Having said that she wasn’t cruel to tell him it was all going to be rainbow and sunshine. The world was judgmental and cruel at times and she wanted him to be prepare for that since this was the path he wanted to walked down on. She was nothing but, supportive and she loved hearing him talk animated about Eren and what he did that day.

Kuchel was the type of woman who’ll protect Levi from the shadow if she notice if he was sad or hurt she’d track the fucker down and show them hell for ever messing with what was hers. She even have to banned Hanji from coming to her home for what she did to her son. She believed that Hanji used her son as a lab rat for her so called experiment. She also believed the scaled and the fire were of her doing too so Hanji been on her bad side ever since. She didn’t appreciate what that girl did and she told her straight up how she felt what she did could have gotten the government on her ass and CPS. She had to use her brother influence to keep it a secret. Since than she never let Hanji over and have Levi keep his guard up around Hanji and not to take anything from her. 

Now, Kuchel was very proud of her son and he was very smart but, she never pressure him to do anything he didn’t like but, encourage what he likes. The older woman was a little worried that he might not have a life if she was always with him. He wanted to take care of her and it was sweet but, he didn’t need to take care of her. She was happy that he was being raised to be a fine young man and she was proud for just that. Seeing him off to school she went back home to sleep and get ready for work when Levi comes home around six thirty. She has to work from seven thirty pm to six in the morning. Until than she sleeps until two and prepare supper for the night and pack Levi lunch/snack for the next day of school. Maybe if he doesn’t work over time she could make something new for Levi for his birthday. It be nice if his crush would be there too so she could meet him person.

Eren sigh happily school was back and he was only too happy that summer vacation ended. It was nice to see Levi at the car wash looking utterly delectable but, he’d always kick himself in the pants when he’d go home reminisces of the wonderful memory of Levi washing his car. What if someone else saw Levi looking like that and wants to date him or worst just want take him without a care.

Eren practically smother himself with a pillow for worrying about Levi’s well being that he ended up changing his clothes and taking Armin’s car for a little spin. He wasn’t stalking him really and since there was a few shop across the car wash he wasn’t really in his back but, at the same time he was keeping a third eye on Levi while he was pretending to shop....sort of. He ended up buying clothes he doesn’t need and almost closing a few restaurant early from eating up the food. When Levi went home he went home too with a shit ton of stuff and half of it he gave to Armin since he loves female garments and it was mostly a bribe for taking his car.

Once he goes home Eren would freaks out and go off the handle of saying how cute he is and how he should really stop keeping an eye on him but, he never listen to his own advice.  Sighing he got up long enough to cook him something to eat which was a lot before curling up to a book by his favorite Arthur Jessica Bird. It was like this for the rest of the summer break except he does see him frequent enough at star bucks so hallelujah for that. He couldn’t always stay by his side but, he does have Erena (feline) to keep tabs on him and if Levi gets into trouble Erena was there to save the day by going unholy on the offender asses.

 Just because it was summer break doesn’t mean he was out of a job there was such a thing as summer school. So he was there a few times a week for a couple of hours. While his scholarship covered the rest of his daily needs he was just wondering if staff could even have scholarships now that he was out of class and he graduated from university. Eren took a long bath while pondering that thought inside his head. 

A couple of weeks later when summer break was over he got dressed for the first day of school starting back up again. He pulled on a pair of jeans and a bargain t-shirt that was on sale. He got two of them but, in different color.  Eren slipped on a pair of black glasses. He did put a brush to his hair though while brushing his teeth. It was awkward as hell but, he managed. He had everything ready from last night prepared for this day as he slipped on some pair of slip on shoes.

Grabbing his bag, phone, keys he was out that door and into the school’s library he slipped into his office to drop his things off before checking to see that everything was in order. It was a big library so it’s not like he can walk to the whole floor but, he can check the cameras that cover each aisle and corners. Due to a student claiming she been sexual harassed he had to upgrade the security. And since he was’t human it was quite easy how to keep tab people walking in and out of his library. His nose and ears were constantly scanning even the most smallest of sound and since he has some hired help he prayed nothing like that can never happen again.

Making sure all the camera is working and he retrieved a few smutty books he checked them out in his name and stash them under the desk. One book he put a cover sleeves so he could keep track which book he was reading at the time and had his bookmark stuff between pages. He open the library and walked back to his comfy chair behind the desk and picked up the telephone making calls to other libraries. He was glad he switched to cordless phone as he picked up some books that’s been dropped off to be checked in. He’s going to be a little busy since there’s quite a few books in the bin to be put on hold that’s being borrowed and needs to be placed on holds. He only stop working when he caught Levi scent in the air. He finished the task he had at hand and printed something and went on over to Levi who was struggling to get a book on the top shelf. He walked quietly on over and brushed his body against Levi so he could hear that surprised squeak.

“Welcome back Levi, the Library missed you.” He said into his ear with a rhythmical  purr. Grabbing a book he need and Levi’s he step back to hand him the book he wanted.

“Here you go.”

Eren gave him a bright smile before he walked on back to his desk so he could scanned it in put it on hold and wrote an initial on a pink on hold tag with the last four digit of their library card. He put a few book in the shelves that were tag and went back to what he was doing. He was quick and efficient while multitasking his work task. He was a little busy but, he paused to help someone and or ask them questions. “If you go down that aisle look by the author last three letters of his last name with the decimal of .522 and it should be right there. the number goes higher the further you go down. It’s marked by hundreds so once you get to five-hundred down there you just need to scan for the number .22” While they thanked him and scurry off he returned back to the work at task. 

When he returned to his desk with a little spin he got back to work but, every now and again he would feel like he was being watched so he often check to see if anyone needed help and they were too shy to ask for help like Levi. When he looked over to Levi he was looking at him and than quickly looking back to the book. He smiled a bit before returning back to his work ‘He’s so cute it’s ridiculous.’ He thought as he returned back to work every now and than he’ll look back to him and smile with a tilt to his head as if he was asking him if he need anything before. Levi shook his head no rapidly before putting his cute nose back into the book. They played this game for a while until Eren’s attention was needed elsewhere. Once that individual was taken care of he returned back to work until he had to pause again to check out Levi’s books.

“I hope you like it. I think it’s pretty good.” Eren grinned as he hand the book back to him. “I’ll either see you at lunch or after school so I’ll see you later Levi.”

Eren leaned back to watch him go this book had a few public sex scene so he was looking forward to seeing his face when he returns it.

Gifted with magical ability as well the kidnapper enchanted a pare of display glasses to hide the toddler and affect his eyes that he could never be without them. The glasses were also enchanted not to break so that the charm would always hide him. The enchantment would not only hide him from magic searching him out but also change his appearance and subdue his personality to one of obedience.

With that they left the child in the rain crouched, huddled, and running a fever from the poison in the stoop of a run down apartment building. A woman with pale skin and dark hair found him when she came home from work and rushed him to the nearby clinic that was open twenty-four hours. The poison was indigenous to Reverie so it would not be able to be seen on a regular test.

For three days his small body was wracked by fevers and the glasses that were always nearby him masked his appearance making him seem smaller than he really was. Not once did the woman leave his side and when he finally awoke there were only three thinks he knew about himself. Or at least what he thought he knew about himself. His name was Levi. His birthday was on the 25th. And that he was three. Since it was November everyone assumed his birthday was November 25th since it had just passed.

Kuchel Ackerman, the woman who had found Levi took him in waiting for someone to find him. However, days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and months turned to years. Kuchel raised Levi as his own and the two even had to abandon the place where he was found when she received a better job opportunity. Levi even worked hard to gain an academic scholarship to take the burden of his school costs off his mom.

Levi never really thought the day might come where he was found or even wanted by his birth parents. He was always content with life with his mom and he wanted to make a better life for her. She was kind and she fully accepted him even though he had figured out in his senior year of Junior High that he was gay. He had fallen in love hard with the hot guy who ran the Academy’s library. He went there everyday after school and since he didn’t work on weekends Levi spent those days usually with his mom.

Sometimes a few of the friends he had made would come over to the apartment he shared with his mom. Hanji had gotten banned from the apartment for two years after the Halloween incident Senior year in Jr. High. She had given him cat ears and a tail which she still hadn’t fixed but had managed to make it to where he could control when they came out or not. It was the year before that he went through some scary ass change where he grew scales and was burping fire. It was one of the reasons his mom had wanted to move.

Nothing like the fear of Government experiments to figure out why suddenly a health, albeit small for his size, young man was suddenly burping fire in the class room and erupting in blue scales that turned black in his fear. His mom had even been cool with that and still kept him. He owed her everything and he wanted to take care of her for a change. That’s why he planned on graduating everything, high school on through university, by the end of the school year he turns eighteen.

By then he would have the finances to create a lucrative job in any market he chooses. Then he’ll buy a big ass house to fit his mom, anyone she finally decided she liked, hopefully Levi’s crush if he ever returns his feelings. Maybe a bunch of kids which sounded really weird but felt fully possible so he didn’t leave it out. He just hoped his crush could except his mutant nature and that they could be happy together. He also rather hoped that if he truly was a mutant that it wouldn’t pass to his children.

He loved that he could talk to his mom about anything, even the boy he like without her ever being disgusted by him or loving him any less than she always had. It was the first day of his Sophomore year, he had already gotten his locker assignment, his books, and he only had to go take care of a few other things before he could head over to the library. He hadn’t gotten the chance to see Eren all summer because he had wanted to help his mom out so he got a summer job a car wash.

Well he couldn’t exactly say that either because Eren had shown up at the car wash about a week and a half after he started. He brought his own car and brought it every two weeks though sometimes it would be once a week. The car wash’s uniform consisted of some very short cut off jeans, a white t-shirt, and white tennis shoes. He was the best washer at the car wash though Eren would spot mistakes.

He’d kindly point them out for him until any spot he missed was gone, Levi was rather grateful though he was a bit embarrassed since by the time Eren had finished helping him his shirt was always see thorough. Having his crush able to see his body through his clothes was a bit unnerving and made his heart want to beat out of his chest.

Once Levi was finally free to head over to the library he had to pause outside for a moment to try and calm his racing heart. Since it was the first day back since summer vacation the library was packed. Eren was a bit busy so he slipped in and decided to peruse the bookshelves. There was a bunch of new books on the shelves. It had been nearly a half an hour and he still hadn’t mustered up the courage to go up to the counter where Eren had been super busy all this time.

He spotted the romance novel that Eren had suggested to him the last time they spoke before summer break ended. Unfortunately it was on the top shelf and the only step stool that was nearby was already in use. Not wanting to bother anyone he tried to reach it on his own raising up on his tip toe and stretching for it. A soft squeak of surprise escaped Levi’s mouth when a tall well built frame pressed against his from behind. A long arm reached over his head and took down two books.

The one he had been reaching for and another one close to where his book had been. Levi had not been prepared for Eren’s voice in his ear that an instant blush colored his face pink. Shyly he looked up and back as Eren leaned forward and looked down to meet Levi’s own gaze. For a moment it seemed that Eren was going to kiss him until he moved back to the counter with the book he had retrieved for another patron.

“Welcome back Levi, the Library has missed you.”

The words that were like a purr rumbling through Eren’s chest straight through Levi’s back. It caused a shiver to run down his spine and he had to stay there facing the shelves of books because his face was so hot he was certain he was scarlet. Eren’s voice and smell had extreme effects on Levi’s system that he could only take him in small doses though he wanted to spend all of his time with him. He knew it sounded crazy and kind of stalkerish but it was the truth.

He was worried whether he should stay around a bit longer until it calmed down or just comeback tomorrow after classes were over. He decided to stay a bit longer, the spot he sat at was both secluded in the stacks and had a wonderful view of Eren while he worked. Unfortunately sometimes he would get caught staring at Eren and when their eyes met he looked away quickly with a blush staining his cheeks hoping he hadn’t noticed how long he had been staring.
