On the turntable today...Roberto Carlos, "O Inimitável". Released in 1968. Best track? In my opinion "Se Você Pensa", co-written with Erasmo Carlos.

Soap operas! Novelas! These crazy little soundtracks to our beloved soap operas have enormous power when it comes to the hit making world. Usually released as 2 separate records one with brasilian music and the other with international hits. Roque Santeiro (1985) was one of my personal favorites...this is the record with brasilian music only. Will post more from the "novela" series soon!
