Followup to my post about Agatha being a murderous Twilight Sparkle: one set of tags by @msharkness musing about what ponies the rest of the coven could be now has me thinking about it. I honestly hadn't put much thought into it aside from Jen being Rarity and Billy being Spike, but I'm less sure who everyone else would correspond to. Any suggestions?
#Hang on actually could Rio be Maude Pie? Pinkie pie’s depressing sister?#Maude pie#I think that was her name

Oh, oh! Could Lilia be the teacher of the cutie mark Crusaders? I don’t remember the name of the pony off the top of my head…. But she did show up in a few episodes… always a little bit scatterbrained, but like also put together. Didn’t really take any shit, but did it in a nice way? It’s been a really long time since I’ve watched the mlp show so forgive me if I mischaracterize anybody.

Wait, hang on if the hangup is that applejack isn’t weird enough to be Rio… then her pony might very well be pinky pie. I know she’s not like happy go lucky enough, but pinkie pie in the TV series regularly freaked people out with her tendency to do things that just did not make sense… like pulling balloons out of thin air, despite the fact that she’s an earth pony with no magic to speak off. She scares people with just how weird she is… so it’s not a perfect fit either but pinkie pie might be an option for Rio. Or I guess Rio might be Rainbow Dash and Alice might be applejack?

Alice is probably Rainbow dash, Rio Applejack, Lilia… that one’s hard… she def not fluttershy. She’s too mouthy and we love her for it. She’s almost like Celestia pretending to be normal with time lapses… Sharon might be pinky pie.

Rewatching Wandavision after watching Agatha All Along makes Agatha just.....hit different.
When you see her as a queer woman, her over the top comedic relationship to the heterosexual norms of the midcentury becomes more akin to watching a drag performance than the slightly self aware but still mildly cringe parody of midcentury sitcoms that it used to read as. When you realize she's a seventeen century American colonist who was surviving as a single mother in what looked like the 18th century who lived through the invention of women's rights, her inane little jokes about the trials of housewifery and the insane expectation on women to do it all while looking perfect just...feel a little more personal. It all feels like it was backed up by generations of queer anger and female anger and I just LOVE her all the more.

I honestly don’t understand why there aren’t more people who, when given the platform to discuss minimum wage, don’t simply distill it to the simplest of facts:
A forty hour work week is considered full time.
It’s considered as such because it takes up the amount of time we as a society have agreed should be considered the maximum work schedule required of an employee. (this, of course, does not always bear out practically, but just follow me here)
A person working the maximum amount of time required should earn enough for that labor to be able to survive. Phrased this way, I doubt even most conservatives could effectively argue against it, and out of the mouth of someone verbally deft enough to dance around the pathos-based jabs conservative pundits like to use to avoid actually debating, it could actually get opps thinking.
Therefore, if an employee is being paid less than [number of dollars needed for the post-tax total to pay for the basic necessities in a given area divided by forty] per hour, they are being ripped off and essentially having their labor, productivity, and profit generation value stolen by their employer.
Wages are a business expense, and if a company cannot afford to pay for its labor, it is by definition a failing business. A company stealing labor to stay afloat (without even touching those that do so simply to increase profit margins and/or management/executive pay/bonuses) is no more ethical than a failing construction company breaking into a lumber yard and stealing wood.
Our goal as a society should be to protect each other, especially those that most need protection, not to subsidize failing businesses whose owners could quite well subsidize them on their own.

I derive so much enjoyment from calling Agatha Harkness a "murderous Twilight Sparkle."
#OK but I just laughed out loud#Because why is it so accurate?#Now I want to see this included in a fic somewhere#agatha all along#agatha harkness#I can feel her being like so offended when she gets called a murderous twilight sparkle#She probably wouldn’t even know who twilight sparkle was until after it was explained to her
