This is strongly wip, but who else shares my love towards Jack's og clothes?? I love the hoodie with all my heart but I remember when I first watched rotg in the cinemas was the first time I ever payed attention to clothing in an animated movie! They moved and looked so amazing with the frosty textures and everything as he emerges from the water. (I will never get over how beautiful EVERYTHING in this movie)

There's no textures or materials on them only base coloring yet. That is what I am going to work on next time I think or sometime in the future when I'll finally have a little more freetime again. Sorry if I'll be even more absent again, I am sort of buried under work now and I don't even know when will the crunch times end this time :(

Ever since I had his rig I've been wanting to try and animate him flying so much, but it is just so hard. This is like my 100th try, like literally :'|

But it's finally here! Jack just flying and chilling and enjoying himself because he deserves it, he's a good kid

(Guys I know I keep saying this but I love you so much and thank you for the incredible suport!! 😭❤ You always make me want to do more and more, it's so great to be a part of this fandom)

I wanted to do a quick test yesterday and I didn't have the time to polish neither the animation nor the cloth simulation so they are hurting the eyes a little bit, sorry about that too t-t

God 3d animation is so much harder than 2d (for me). I've been doing mostly 2d stuffs in the past years and I forgot about the graph editor and other struggles so this little video me re-learning the fundamentals of 3d animation.

Next time I promise it won't be this hella quirky, I feel like I'm warmed up! And sooorryyy again!

I had the best time of my week tonight thanks to this user!!!

I am starting to feel like that maybe 3d animation is not really for me, but I won't give up just yet 😭 I have saved like a ton of tutorials and learning videos, I really want to do this right.

I am not satisfied with this one, but I got bored with it so I don't think I'll ever finish it up. I just put too much suffering into it to not be posted hehe.

I don't know if I've ever mentioned it before, but I am a self taught 3d artist - that's why the stuffs I make are all a little quirky and have faults. And 3d animation is like one of the hardest things for me to learn so far.

I also feel that I am going to do a slight remodeling on the mesh, because his features are just don't feel right, the more I look at it - meaning that I will have to rig him up again and I will definitely work on his hair more in the future.

I learned over the years that sometimes it is okay to start over instead of trying to fix something broken - it will always give a better result.

Jack on the Easter of '68!!

I can't believe there is a footage out there of Chris Pine singing this song!! I had to animate a little video of Jack with that.

For this I used myself as a reference so the strange movements are thanks to my magnificent acting skills hehe.

I am also half way through my little library of tutorials and I learned much while doing this one. Things like having to pay attention to how the body looks overall and just from the camera view. And also about how to polish the graph to make smoother movements and stuffs. But I'm still only at the beginning and my respect towards 3D animators is higher and higher with each passing second of sweating and struggling and crying.

Also I can't even express how much your support means to me. Love you guys so much!!! This is literally me every time I log into tumblr and browse through my notifications:
