Was listening to "Ikaw" by Yeng Constantino and "Huwag na Huwag Mong Sasabihin" by Kitchie Nadal while drawing this because I think that they fit Jack and Elsa's POV in the fanfic (I like hurting myself like this).

I rarely draw animals, I guess this shows just how much I love Jelsa (and Turnip).

I don't understand people who use the "Charlie is in a relationship with Vaggie" card to hate on Charlastor or any other Charlie x other character especially if the other character is a man

Like some of the comments are straight up biphobic, people act like shipping her with a man erased her queer identity and that shipping her with a man is homophobic or even lesbophobic? Just as a reminder Charlie is bi whatever she dates a man or woman!

Even ignoring the biphobia, since when are we supposed to ship only canon pairings? Sorry but for me personally, shipping only canon is boring as hell nothing against people who enjoy it but i never will able to do it

Ppl(especially on tiktok) r insufferable when it comes to ships. They will get mad at you for shipping characters who are enemies or friends, shipping characters who never met or are the literal opposite of eachother, "thats unrealidtic" "it would be toxic" "but they have canon partners". THATS THE POINT Another point is that cuz its fucking funny, so stfu when you say they wouldn't/couldn't/shouldn't bee together LIKE THATS THE WHOLE POINT. I finf it funny to think of a person who is a neat freak be with a messy person. Like the only thing that should stop you is pedophilia and incest. Nothing else matters bc its not real, have fun and whimsy. Also fuxk purists.

There are 3 kinds of shipping chemistry between characters: Canon, Non-Canon, and Potential.

Canon chemistry comes from how characters interact canonically, and what their relationship is like.

Non-Canon chemistry comes from how characters who have never met (and quite possibly, could never meet) could interact, and what their relationship could be like.

Potential chemistry comes from how characters could interact, and what their relationship could be like or develop into.

All of these also rely, not just on interactions, but also on individual character personality and behaviour.

So for example, I'll give you 3 ships: Lumity, Jelsa, and DabiHawks.

Lumity (Luz Noceda x Amity Blight):

Have met, and they are actually canon. They have a sorta rivals-to-lovers relationship. They interacted multiple times, eventually became very good friends. Then Amity had developed a crush on Luz, and Luz fell for Amity. They confessed and started dating. They protected each other, they fought for each other. 3 years later, in the finale, they're still together and still love each other. This is canon chemistry.

Jelsa (Jack Frost x Elsa):

Never met; they're not in the same universe, so they can't've. They don't have any existing relationship as a result. When you look past that though, you can see how they'd work as a couple, beyond all the classic reasons (similar powers, similar stories, similar appearance, and whatnot). Semi-contrasting personalities being one of my favourite reasons. That's an example of non-canon chemistry.

DabiHawks (Toya Todoroki x Keigo Takami)

Have met, but they were a hero-villain duo. So naturally, they fought, hurt one another, and overall, famously just didn't get along and didn't like each other. Yet, when you think about it carefully, were they to find ways to spend (nonviolent) time together and possibly become friends, they could eventually become lovers too. Added to which, half their conflict came from the very fact that they were on opposite sides. Take that away, and what do you have? Hero Dabi and Hero Hawks working side-by-side, or Villain Dabi and Villain Hawks wreaking havoc together. The possibilities are endless, and this is a perfect example of potential chemistry.

All of these ships have different kinds of chemistry, but it's chemistry nonetheless. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

That was the fun. More than half the time they didn’t have a chance to even be considered to be canon. We shipped things that we didn’t even want to be canon. It fun, silly goofy. Make shipping silly goofy again!
