I have a lot to say on Sayori’s and Yuri’s sidestory. While I absolutely adore base DDLC to death, something I always yearned for was more Sayori and Yuri interactions.

The two, in my opinion, are two different sides of the very same coin. Both hiding their pain and anguish from the world in very different ways and that was addressed wonderfully in the side story.

It was so fascinating how the two seemingly opposite characters have so much in common and watching their conversation honestly made me cry.

Their strengths cover each other’s weaknesses. They can bring out a side of themselves that they didn’t even know was possible, Yuri opening up about herself and Sayori fully dedicating herself to one thing.

Not to mention that Piece by Piece is a beautiful track that really did capture the moment so, so well. Everything about Understanding was so great, I can’t even put it into words.

Please play DDLC+, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
