I don't wanna be your plan B anymore - 2
Larissa Weems x Reader
Summary: After many years Reader is going back to Nevermore to save its headmistress not knowing it's Larissa
Word count: 1.7k
Warnings: a bit of angst, mention of death
A/N: I know it took me centuries to write the second part, but here we are!
| Pt.1 |
Tumblr media
You were going back to Nevermore, you still couldn’t believe it. After all those years, you were going back to the place that you had promised yourself not to go back to. It had not been your own choice to come back to the school but, a couple of days before, a call had woken you up in the middle of the night, a teacher was begging for your help to go save their headmistress who apparently had been poisoned by a psychopath with nightshade. You didn’t know who the teacher who called you was, nor who the current Nevermore’s headmistress was but, the urgency with which the teacher was begging for your help made you decide to go back and help them. It didn’t surprise you they had your number, after all, your magical abilities were known throughout the outcast community. After graduating, you left Jericho and, not having a home to go back to, you decided to start traveling around the world and learn new types of magic. You had learned to be alone, to take care of yourself and be independent. After Larissa showed how people really are, you had decided that it’s better to be alone than in bad company. With your new magical knowledge, you started to help people. You hadn’t been able to save your mother from her illness, so now you wanted to help as many people as you could. This is another reason why you were trying to get to Nevermore as fast as you could. The landscape was slowly turning into a familiar one while you were driving over the speed limit. The forest and those mountains were still the same, it almost looked like time had stopped for them. For a moment, you imagined being your teenage self again, riding through those streets in your mom’s care. The first time you got to Nevermore it almost looked like a dream, it was a place you would have been finally able to be yourself and express your potential without the fear of being judged for who you truly were.
Finally Nevermore appeared in front of your eyes. You couldn’t control your heart that was now beating at a faster pace. Your hands were sweating as you tighten the grip around the steering wheel, this wasn’t you, you were usually in control of your emotions, but this place… this place was home.
As soon as you parked the car, two girls ran towards you. They were the exact opposite of each other, one was a colorful bright soul while, the other one, was completely dressed in black.
Addams.
That’s the first thing that came to your mind looking at the girl.
I suppose you’re Miss. Y/L/N, follow us, we don't have a lot of time left.
You knew how lethal nightshade was, it was already a miracle that the headmistress was still alive after all those days. She must have been a fighter.
The two girls led you to the infirmary without saying a thing, you could tell they cared about that woman. Even the Addams girl, despite her effort to look strong, seemed extremely worried.
Will you be able to save her?
The colorful girl asked her the tricky question in front of the closed doors of the infirmary.
I promise that I’ll try my best to save her. I brought with me everything I need to prepare the antidote.
The girls looked at you with hope in their eyes, then they walked away, leaving you some space to start working on the antivenom. After taking a deep breath, you opened the door and entered the room, all beds were empty except for one. The headmistress was hidden by a curtain to give her some privacy. While you were walking towards her, you started to feel weird, it was like your sixth sense was trying to tell you something. You immediately noticed a table where you put your bag with all the ingredients and started to take them out. Once everything was displayed on the surface, you turned around to look at the headmistress. For a moment you felt like all the blood had left your body, that wasn’t real, it was probably a trick of your mind, it couldn’t have been her. You hesitantly walked closer to the woman. She was unnaturally pale due to the nightshade’s effects, but her beauty was still evident. No matter how many years had passed, you would have recognized her among a thousand people.
Larissa.
As you had woken up from a long sleep, you remembered you were there for a reason, you had to save Larissa. Rushing back to the table you started to cut and mix all the ingredients together, the cure had to be perfect and, most importantly, it had to work. Your heart was pounding in your chest while you were trying to hold your hands steady. You should have known it was Larissa, she was the only one who cared enough about Nevermore to become the new headmistress, but you had been so blind and stupid. After all those years, after all the places you had visited, your heart was still hers, and she was still the most beautiful creature you had ever seen. You hated yourself for being so pathetic, but there was nothing you could do about it. Once the antidote was ready, you looked at her again. Gently, you lifted her head enough to make her drink the cure.
Now, the only thing you could have done was waiting for the antivenom to take effect. You wanted to get out of that room, you needed some fresh air but, the idea of leaving Larissa all alone was persuading you from doing it. Looking around the room, you found an old armchair and moved it next to Larissa’s bed, it would have been a decent place to pass the next few hours. You felt your body sinking a bit in the old fake leather seat, but it was always better than sitting on the stoned floor.
After a couple of hours, the two girls who showed you where Larissa was, came back.
We brought you some food Miss. Y/L/N
The colorful girl handed you a plate with a couple of sandwiches.
I’m Enid by the way, and she’s Wednesday, if you’ll need our help don’t hesitate to come look for us.
The two girls disappeared behind the infirmary’s doors after worriedly looking at Larissa.
Once you were left alone again, you looked at the food in front of you and tried to eat just a little bit of it. Checking the time you were hoping the antivenom had started to work already. Larissa didn’t have much time left, if she had died you would never have forgiven yourself. Hesitantly you hold her hand in yours, hoping to give her some kind of comfort, even if you doubted she could hear you or feel you.
It's weird how our lives crossed again, don’t you think?
You didn’t know why you were talking to her. It was like you weren’t in control of your mouth anymore.
No matter how far from here I tried to go, you were always on my mind. You were the first woman I truly loved, and also the last one. It’s funny that a witch like me can’t identify what kind of weird spell you’ve cast on my poor heart, I find it incredibly rude.
A bitter laugh escaped your mouth.
But I accept my defeat, I could never have competed against Morticia, she was beautiful, sensual, simply everyone’s favorite and I… I was just me.
With your thumb you were gently stroking the back of her hand.
I understand it now but, back then, I was only a teenager in love with the girl she considered her best friend, what a cliché. I remember dreaming about the day you would have finally noticed me in the way I wished and, even if we know that day never came, I look back and smile at my ingenuity.
Softly squeezing her hand you closed your eyes for a moment lost in your memories.
Y-you weren’t n-naive…I was the b-blind one.
As freezing water had been thrown at you, you opened your eyes and looked at Larissa. She was awake, and she was looking at you with those beautiful blue eyes you loved so much.
Larissa! You’re alive!
It was like waking up from a bad dream, you hadn’t realized how scared you actually were to lose her until she was safe.
Hi Y/N.
Her voice was barely audible and a bit husky, but it was still her voice.
You s-saved me.
You couldn’t help but smile at her words.
Of course I saved you, I couldn’t let you die.
A tear rolled down your eye.
I’ve n-never meant to h-hurt you…I l-loved you.
Your heart started racing in your chest, she probably didn’t even mean those words romantically, but your brain couldn't help but start thinking about the most disparate scenarios.
I loved you m-more than a friend… I’ve never l-loved Morticia.
You were shocked, she just didn't only confess to you she cared about you as a friend, she also admitted to you she loved you.
Larissa, I…let me check your vitals first, I need to be sure the cure is working correctly.
Everything looked fine, Larissa was healing, she would have been okay.
I’m glad to tell you Nevermore is going to have her headmistress back in a couple of weeks, you just need to rest and take it slow.
The shape-shifter seemed reassured by the news, there were too many things to do to run a school, she couldn’t afford to spend too much time on her recovery.
Y/N…I hope we…we’ll be able to talk about the past one of these days.
You smiled at her, just the idea of having her back in your life was making you feel a kind of happiness you thought you had forgotten.
I’d like that…Now excuse me, but I have to inform the teachers and students you’re going to be fine, I’ll be right back.
Saying this you left her in the infirmary.
Larissa was still looking at the spot where just a couple of seconds before you were standing. You were back and, this time, she would have done anything in her power to make you stay.

it is simply one of your best works and i won’t hear otherwise
I don't wanna be your plan B anymore
Young!Larissa Weems x Young!reader
Summary: After reaching the breaking point R takes an important decision.
Word count: 1k
Warnings: angst, mention of death and illness, R' mother's death, no happy ending
A/N: I'm sorry for the angst guys, but I needed to write something a bit sadder.
This is not my best work and I was very tempted to not post it but @loverofallthingssarah convinced me to do it 🫶🏻
Tumblr media
You were done, you couldn't continue to run after her. After her behavior last week, you’d finally realized she didn't care about you as much as you did, you knew you shouldn’t have been surprised about the news, but a part of you still hoped you mattered to her as a friend. Well, you were wrong.
At that point you had stopped trying to believe you stood a chance with her, she was too obsessed by Morticia and her drama not to realize that if she had only looked further than her own nose she would have seen there was someone ready to give her all the love she needed.
But that was the past, you didn’t even know if you could still consider yourself her best friend, maybe she’d never been, maybe she was just using you as her personal toy, something that could entertain her when the object of her desire wasn’t around.
Now laying on the wooden floor of your room you closed your eyes trying to work through your pain. It had been a week since your mother’s funeral, a week since the last time you stepped out of your dorm…a week since the last time you’d seen her. Except for your teachers and roommate, no one knew about what happened, you hated pity looks and, the last thing you wanted, was to become the new source of school’s gossip. You knew your absence would have been unnoticed, you weren’t that popular but, at least, you had hoped for one of her visits. She didn’t come, not even once. Your roommate let you know she was always with Morticia trying to comfort her because, apparently, her and Gomez had fought again.
The pain you were feeling was indescribable, now you knew you were completely alone, your mother was gone, apparently not even being a witch can save you from cancer, and the only friend you had was just using you for her personal enjoyment.
Even if you had wanted to hide forever from the world, you had to keep your promise to your mom and keep going on with your life so, after a week, you were back to class. Sitting as close as possible next to the door, you waited for the lesson to start. It was a weird feeling to be surrounded by those people again, but you couldn't help but think it brought some normality back to your life. Unfortunately, that feeling didn’t last long, as soon as a well known blonde entered the room you started to feel lonely again. She didn't even realize you were there as her looks were only for her roommate.
As soon as the lesson ended you rushed through the door, not caring about bumping into people.
Y/N?
Her voice made you immediately stop, you hated the power she was still holding on you.
I was starting to get worried, it’s been a while since the last time I saw you.
A bitter smile appeared on your lips, no matter how hard you wanted to believe her, her words didn’t sound anything but fake to your ears.
I wanted to come check on you, but I couldn’t leave Morticia in that state after she fought with Gomez, that girl is capable of anything.
Breathing the same air was enough for making you feel sick, how could she be such a hypocrite, after all you’ve done for her, after all the tears you had wiped, you would have never been important enough to her.
Y/N?
My mother’s dead
You wouldn’t have wanted to start the conversation like that, but if you hadn’t, you would have exploded.
I’m sorry, I didn't know.
You felt pure rage growing inside of you, all those years standing by her side and that’s what you got in return.
Maybe, if you had the time to check on your friend, you would have known, but of course Morticia is always more important than anyone else.
At that point you knew you were screaming in the hallway, but there was this invisible force that was controlling your actions.
Y/N I…
No, no more of that. I’m done with your games Larissa, I’m not your personal toy, I’m a human being with its own feelings but, obviously, you’ve never cared about them. You’re always so blinded by your obsession on Morticia to not realize that there are people who care about you…people who love you… If you’d asked me I could have given you the moon, If you’d let me I could have loved you in a way Morticia will never do, if you’d paid more attention to the people around you, you would have noticed I was offering you my heart. But now I’m done Larissa, I can’t waste my life on you, not now that I know how precious it is. I tried so hard to make you notice me and, even when I knew you would have never seen me in the way I would have wanted, I stayed by your side because you needed a true friend, because I cared about you.
You hated crying in front of her, but you weren’t in control of your body anymore.
And what did I get in return? Nothing, absolutely nothing. I hate the way you make me feel, I hate that I’ve been such a fool to fall in love with you, but from now on you won’t have to pretend to care about me anymore. This is a goodbye Larissa.
Turning around you kept walking without looking back, no matter how hard she was screaming your name, you had no intention of listening to her voice. It hurt, you could almost feel your heart bleeding in your chest, but it was the right thing to do, you would have always been her second choice, her plan B, and you were tired of it, tired of being never enough.
Avoiding her would have been challenging, but it was your last year at Nevermore and after graduation you’d already planned to move away as far as possible from that place and, above all, as far as possible from her.

Once upon a dream - 3
Larissa Weems x reader
Summary: Larissa and R have finally found each other, but a nightmare is about to bring up Larissa's uncomfortable past.
Word count: 1k
Warnings: mention of death, suicide, physical and verbal violence.
A/N: It took me a while but I'm finally back with the ending of this short series. It's been a hurricane of emotions but I loved every single moment of this journey.
| Pt.1 | | Pt.2 |
Tumblr media
She wasn’t supposed to be there, she wasn’t supposed to watch you burn. Everything was wrong, that’s not how things went.
The crowd was screaming at you, cheering for the executioner to light the pyre, you were about to die, and she would have seen everything. Standing into the crowd her beautiful sapphire eyes were staring right through your soul, not a single emotion was shown. She wasn’t your knight, it couldn’t have been her, you didn’t want to believe it. The woman who was looking at you was a complete stranger, you knew your sweet lover would have done everything possible to save you.
The crowd got louder, the executioner was about to put an end to your life. You wanted to scream her name, but at that moment you realized you had completely lost your voice. Tears were rolling down your cheeks, you wanted to wake up from that nightmare, you needed to because, deep down you knew that was just a dream…it had to be.
The flames were slowly starting to reach your body, you were going to burn alive and now, a wicked smile was visible on her face, the face you loved. The ropes were keeping you as still as possible against the wooden pole, it was getting too hot to breathe, you were trapped.
Y/N.
A whisper caught your attention, maybe you were daydreaming, but someone was calling your name.
Y/N.
You heard that voice again, it felt so distant, like it was coming from another reality.
Y/N wake up!
You opened your eyes and all you could see was darkness. You sat up abruptly, trying to remember where you were. Your body was shaking, your heart was pounding in your chest, and it was getting harder and harder to breathe.
Suddenly the light turned on, and you felt two strong and gentle arms wrapping around you.
It’s okay my love, I’m here, you're safe.
Her sweet voice was slowly bringing you back to reality, she was right there next to you, it had only been a nightmare.
I need you to breathe for me sweetheart…good girl, just like that.
Softly rubbing your back she started to whisper sweet nothings to your ear trying to calm you down.
Do you feel like talking about it, my little snowdrop?
You loved that nickname, there was something so intimate about the way her voice sounded when she called you like that. It was like those words were filled with an ancient and profound love.
You were with them…
With a slender voice you tried to tell her what you had seen in your nightmare.
You were at my execution, everyone was screaming at me, impatiently waiting for my death and you…you were doing nothing, it almost felt like you were enjoying what they were doing to me…you wanted me dead and…and…
Tears were ready to run down your cheeks once again, but your lover was quick to wipe them away with her thumb.
It was just a dream my love, we both know how things went.
Soft kisses were laid all over your face as she wanted to make you feel how loved and protected you were.
I know Riss, it’s just that you never told me what happened after I died. You know I wouldn't be mad at you if you told me you met someone else and fell in love with them. All I wanted was for you to be happy, it didn't matter if it was with me or with another person.
At that point Larissa knew she didn’t deserve you, you were too pure and good for this world and the fear of your possible rejection was the only thing that was keeping her from telling you what she had done. Of course you had the right to hear the whole story, but it was still hard for her to talk about it. So, while she was hugging you even tighter she decided to finally open up to you.
You were my only and true love, I could have never lived without you. As soon as I woke up I knew you were gone. That stupid guard thought I was freed from your spell, and he immediately started to describe every single detail of your execution. It was too much for my heart to take, I couldn't keep living with the awareness that for the rest of the world you would have been the evil witch…not after I gave you my body and soul.
You were slowly realizing what she was trying to tell you. A part of you was in denial, you didn't want to believe she had actually done that for love…for you.
I wanted to be with you, in the afterlife or in another life, so I took a dagger and stabbed myself in the gut.
The whole room fell silent, even if your brain was working at twice the speed, words were incredibly hard to find. Knowing your lover chose to kill herself rather than keep living without you was both flattering and scary, it showed how deeply she loved you, but it also made you feel guilty to be the cause of her death.
I can see you’re blaming yourself for what I’ve done, but please, believe me when I say it wasn’t your fault. It was my own decision.
Still in her arms you finally decided to look at her. Those eyes you loved so much were trying to read your soul, scared to have crossed an invisible line.
Promise me you won’t do that ever again, promise me that if something happens to me, you won’t take your life again. I just can’t bear the thought of being the only thing that is keeping you alive.
When she finally nodded in assent you felt like the weight on your chest was slowly fading away.
It was a different time…a different life, I don’t feel alone anymore. I have you and I have to take care of Nevermore and its students, you don’t have to worry about me.
Gently cupping her face you pulled her closer in a sweet kiss. You wanted to make sure she was real and there, you wanted to be sure she wasn’t going to disappear with a blink, you wanted to be sure she was your knight.
I love you my little snowdrop, in this life, in the previous one and in those to come, I’ll always be your knight, and you’ll always be my witch, of that I’m sure.
