Do y’all think Inuyasha was ever just drawn to the Bone-Eater’s Well?

I’m talking before Kagome crossed over, and of course before he was sealed to the Goshinboku.

Maybe he felt a little tug in its direction or a slight tingling up his spine when he wandered close to it. He’d glimpse at it suspiciously, curious as to why he felt such a pull on his instincts towards it.

Sometimes he would dismiss the urge. Other times, he’d sit near it - or even gaze down it - kinda waiting but not really waiting; wondering why..

And he’d either plop down by it, or perch up in a tree near it, calmed by its closeness.

And feel peaceful.

Even now, after the evening had settled and so had the silence, he was still trying to wrestle down his frazzled youki. It was hard to believe that just this morning he'd been obliviously hunting deer, so secure in this new rhythm of life.

He should've known, should've kept his guard up even after the seemingly peaceful spring and summer.
