"Forged", for Sherlolly?
I could have gone a number do different directions with this word, which made it fun! I ended up settling on a bit of a medieval au. Hope you like it! đ đ°
âNow that you have forged an alliance with your sisterâs Kingdom, My Lord, what exactly do you plan to do?â Sir John asked.
âWhile Eurus is here at court I shall lay the foundation of peace and hopefully even when she returns to Sherrinford we might continue to maintain⌠Who is that?â Sherlock asked, stopping short, his gaze fixed across the courtyard and connected to a pair of big brown eyes.
John followed his line of vision and explained, âI believe, My Lord, that is Lady Molly, one of your sisters ladies-in-waiting who accompanied her.â
Lady Mollyâs eyes demurely shifted away as she caught her bottom lip between her teeth, but a moment later her gaze returned to Sherlockâs, and a very slight smile formed as she found his eyes to be unmoved.
As the corner of his lips lifted as well, hardly hearing whatever Sir John was saying next to him, all of a sudden Sherlock found himself filled with a new and very unexpected force driving him to maintain peaceful relations with the kingdom of Sherrinford.

I was never the biggest Sherlock girlie during the peak of SuperWhoLock Era Tumblr. Just a casual enjoyer of Benedict Cucumbersnatch. In fact, when I finally gave in and watched it (during the wait for S4, probably), I didn't really think it quite lived up to The Hype around it at that time... I'm not really a crime detective girlie... I liked reading some of the meta and such. ANYWAY. All that to say, if you ask me I shrug and agree it's a fine show... But every now and then I see something sherlolly on my dash and I absolutely spiral. Like obsessed lowkey with Molly and Sherlock, even though they probably aren't even in my top 20 ships.
I just forget how absolutely fascinating those two are. Until it blinds me. They really were almost like breadcrumbs in the grand scheme of the show... But if vivisect the show and put the pieces back together, sherlolly can be found everywhere in the textures and patterns. little fingerprints here and there where it makes sense, even if it shouldn't. and some kind of crazy understated chemistry.
That being said, after watching some sherlolly videos, I want to ask the sherlolly stans a question about The Final Problem.... Euros was pretty vague in her reasoning. We know she was just doing research, but her hypothesis wasn't entirely clear... just that she wanted an emotional reaction.
While Euros is studying Sherlock's psyche, she says the impending death, as she understands it, is to be a tragedy... so much unlived life, and words left unsaid. John and Mycroft assume it's for someone who loves Sherlock, and yes they rightfully deduce coffin is meant for Molly... because everyone knows Molly fancies Sherlock. So what if the coffin was originally intended to be meant for someone loved by Sherlock. Someone who would die never knowing he loved her. Someone left alive after she died. Someone who would place that plaque on her coffin after her death... Because Sherlock would never TELL her those words while she was alive.
And Euros wasn't trying to torture Molly in particular.... She was trying to get to her brother... to see how Sherlock responds to emotional context. And she was trying to break him.
I think this is the unspoken interpretation that only Euros and maybe Sherlock really caught. IDK... thoughts?

J: Errr... Whose go is it?
S: Mycroft is taking his time to make a dramatic finale
J: You mean he can win from here? We've only been playing five minutes.
M: I'm simply thinking my actions through.
S: And those actions are 'get cheese' and 'win game'.
M: How little you think of me, brother mine. I'm actually thinking 'humiliate you two at children's game'.
J: Next time I'm playing Solitaire.

Any favorite Sherlock and Molly moments?
Hello hello! SO MANY OMG! I love them so much, they have so many fabulous moments.
I immediately think of their entire stint solving cases together in The Empty Hearse, because they were amazing, but I'll pick out a few specific moments from there.
There's a moment where they're interviewing clients and Molly asks if she should take notes, since John does and Sherlock says "You're not being John, you're being yourself." and she smiles, and it is the most pure thing. Like yes, in a way, Sherlock is trying to replace John with Molly in this moment because with John, he got used to having a partner, a friend, someone with him. But he also acknowledges that Molly is her own person and brings her own skills and abilities to the table, and works differently from John. And that's quite big, since we all know that Sherlock has had to work on learning how to treat/interact with people and that John has helped him do that.
Another moment from the same episode is when they have a little sarcastic exchange when they're with the client who loves trains. I mean, Sherlock's smirk alone...
And the last one from this particular episode is the scene in the hallway where Sherlock thanks Molly for her help and says the iconic line "Because the one person he thought didn't matter to me at all, was the one person who mattered the most." And when he says that my heart melts, the soft look in his eyes and on his face. And the cheek kiss! Aaaahhhh!!!!! They make me insane.
Another favourite moment has to be the Christmas scene in A Scandal in Belgravia. Just everything about it - Molly's STUNNING outfit, Sherlock actually apologising when he realises he's a) hurt Molly's feelings and b) made light of her feelings for him which he's played on one too many times, the kiss on the cheek...it's the moment I began to ship them when I first watched the show. It's just an absolutely lovely moment between them, and it also shows how much Sherlock's grown. He apologises unprompted and it's clear it's because he CARES about Molly - he still acts asshole-ish with John's girlfriend, someone he doesn't really know, but is immediately remorseful when he hurts Molly.
Of course, the ICONIC 'I love you scene' between the two of them in The Final Problem had to be on here too, because I love it - my Sherlolly heart burst when it happened! Like, he says it the first time so that Molly will say it and won't die, but he says it a second time, and his voice that second time...it's real. He says it once, playing along to try and save Molly's life but the second time...oh the second time is a realisation. Sherlock does actually love her. Now of course, you can read that as platonic or romantic (I like both since I ship both Sherlolly and Johnlock), but Sherlock does love her. And that scene was just expertly filmed and scripted. (Also, why wasn't Molly having a good day, what had happened?? Someone give her a hug!!)
Now for two smaller moments - I adore them when they are at Rosie's christening! The way Molly is clearly comfortable enough around Sherlock to tell him off for using his phone and is stood beside him so confidently, and also she looks stunning!
The second one is in The Reichenbach Fall when Sherlock asks for Molly's help. She asks what he needs and he says "You." I died.
I could put so many more, but I'll finish with this one - the kiss from The Empty Hearse. Now, I know that it was a scene from one of Anderson's theories, but it's fucking canon in my mind so I don't care! It's very badass and sexy and exactly what my Sherlolly heart wanted and deserved!
Right, I'll stop now! Do you have any favourites? Let me know!

His Knight In Shining Armour
He never tells Rosie why itâs his favourite, he only agrees to read it to her.
When sheâs unable to sleep, when sheâs cranky. When sheâs delightful and adorable. When she wants to hear a story he tells her this one: he tells her Rapunzel.
He even reads the version which was read to him, when he was just a child.
Of course he makes small changes, as might befit reading to a child of Mary Morstan. He makes it clear that Rapunzel uses her time to study, to learn every skill she can muster. He makes it clear that she and the Prince are friends before they become lovers, because he doesnât like to normalize the idea of marrying someone you barely know just because you donât have any options.
Perhaps he is being overly cautious, but with Rosie that is what he will always be.
And so, he tells her the story at every opportunity. Itâs so obvious that he loves it that even John doesnât tease him about it- Even Mrs. Hudson doesnât. And Molly- Molly sits sometimes and listens to him read it, listens to him and Rosie discuss it and then helps him tuck the little one in.
âWhat is it about that story?â She asks one night, as theyâre tiptoeing away from Rosieâs bedroom.
Sherlock cocks an eyebrow at her and she shrugs.
âYou love Rapunzel,â she says quietly. âIâm not saying thereâs anything wrong with it, Iâm just saying Iâm curious.â

10 Day Sherlock Challenge Day 8: Favorite Actor - Benedict Cumberbatch
âHolmes is a very attractive character to play, because he gets to speak his mind, he has extraordinary abilities, and itâs just a lot of fun. In the hands of those two scriptwriters you get a lot of beautifully drawn out character studies and scenarios.âÂ

Can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me.
Fell in love when I saw you standing there;
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale â¨

Ok I know I didnât just write this, but I remembered that I had at one time written a Cinderella au one shot, called So This Is Love, so I figured Iâd share it for sherlolly week, day 1. Be sure to check out the lineup of themes for this whole week on the @sherlollyappreciationweek blog!
(And omg please ignore the fact that this poor one shot is in the midst of over 80 one shots within one fic which should really be separated one day đ)
