Sometimes you are going to miss a person who was an almost to you. And feel sad because there is no name for that feeling. You just feel it in a way that makes you tired to your very bones.

Gilmore girls revival ending sucked.
I’m just going to pretend that Gilmore girls ended with Logan leaving Odette and chasing down Rory.
He is literally the only guy she ever dated that ever respected her as a person and treated her like she was capable of asking her own choices.
The ending should be him saying something about how crazy but wonderful there lives together will be ( with some odd joke in true Logan fashion) and her saying oh you have no idea. Literally that was all the viewers needed to feel like the last bit of the story was closing.
The final four words could still be the same, and that could still be the pregnancy reveal. But making it seem like Rory is going to repeat Loralai’s life is just unrealistic. She is literally twice the age Loralai was having the baby, and her and Logan are both grown ups who still love each other despite going to hell and back.
Sorry, I just watched the Gilmore girls revival again and every time it makes me so mad.
On a side note the life and death brigade scene was literally the best thing ever.

You know what Logan gives Rory that no one else does? Autonomy. Logan has always always always respected Rory’s choices. Rory drops out of Yale? Logan doesn’t like it but knows Rory is an adult who can make her own decisions. Rory decides to take an internship with his dad? Warns Rory what Mitchum is like but doesn’t stop her. Before having sex with Rory? Asks for verbal consent- twice. When Rory wants to date him? Tells her upfront that he’s not a boyfriend guy so she has the chance to back off. Logan is literally the only person in Rory’s life that respects Rory can make decisions on her own, regardless of whether he thinks she’s right or wrong.
