i have issues with the idea that every violation in supernatural is a rape allegory. it's the kind of analysis that often ends up ignoring the surrounding context that may or may not support the interpretation and more or less put everything in the same box with the same vague label. sometimes it's an allegory, sometimes it's not, sometimes it's text. and the difference does matter.

what happens to dean in the back alley in 6x05 is not simply coded in those terms but an actual attempt to make him part of a sex trafficking nest. he is followed by boris into a dark alley and sexually harassed. he is suggestively called pretty and chosen for his prettiness.

he turns boris down, then he is attacked and overpowered. not only is he force fed the vampire's blood but has it smeared across his face in what can only be described as a cw-acceptable come shot.

he looks thoroughly violated and the camera (as well as his soulless brother) voyeuristically enjoy every second of it.

once dean is a vampire there is still the demand that he will use his body for boris' mission (bringing to mind dead man's blood and how john made use of him in hunts) and to satisfy boris himself. he is leered at and propositioned quite unambiguously on screen and pretends to go along with it, using his desirability the way he's always learned to do. also notice the way boris licks his lips and tugs at dean's jacket in case there was any remaining doubt as to what he was suggesting.

then dean takes out boris and the entire nest resulting in this great shot of him keeping his foot on boris' decapitated head as he looks physically and emotionally drained. the entire episode is framed like a rape/revenge flick and deals explicitly with sexual expoitation so it should be accurately discussed as such.

supernatural itself is actually a good show 90% of the time with complex and flawed characters that are realistically hypocritical and mean and awful and the actual problem is the uwu-my-precious-gayboy-he-can-never-be-wrong fans

most frustrating thing in the world is when you really like a character who sucks, and you know they suck, so you’re chill with people who dislike or even hate them because… well they suck, you get it. but then a whole bunch of people hate them for things that just aren’t actually accurate or canon to the character and just treat these inaccurate and awful character traits as a given, so then you feel like you gotta be this scumbag’s defense attorney. free my man, he did so much awful shit but he didn’t do that

Hello ! My girlfriend made Sam and Dean mutts, so I think John would be a dog too. As an adult, Sam has one floppy and one upright ear, but both brothers had floppy ears when they were younger. Mary is a cat and Dean gets his colors from her. My favorite animal is also a cat :)

To the anon that’s been sending me stuff about Jared & Jensen not having body hair and how my Deans don’t look like Dean:

I don’t draw the actors! I draw the characters that those actors play. The neat thing about fictional characters is you can imagine them as you’d like. I like giving Sam more moles and a fucked up tooth. I like giving Dean some weight and scars. I like giving dudes body hair. It’s just a preference!

It’s totally okay if you don’t like how I draw them. Truly, no sarcasm. Tumblr does have a block feature, so if seeing my art doesn’t make you feel good, more power to you if you choose to block me.

Life is too short to be upset about art, at least in my opinion. Could die tomorrow and personally? I ain’t lookin to die mad about anything. Closing the anon asks for a while to cut down on the negative vibes. Peace and love my dude(s).
