Homeshake is the solo project of Peter Sagar, touring guitarist for Mac DeMarco’s band. Off of Sinderlyn Records, In The Shower is the debut LP in which this slow, funky track is on. Heavy on the bass, drums, and flanged/wahhed-out guitars, these songs bring plenty of sensual and weird.

It’s a lot less slick than the Velvet Underground’s version, but to me, it’s the voice of an old friend telling you that everything’s going to be alright.

You don’t know about real loss, ‘cause it only occurs when you’ve loved something more than you love yourself. And I doubt you’ve ever dared to love anybody that much. And look at you… I don’t see an intelligent, confident man… I see a cocky, scared shitless kid. But you’re a genius Will. No one denies that."
