I was playing a Chinese game called “Eternal Life,” where you’re a new cultivator who gets invited to join a certain sect, and then of course hijinks ensue.

But in the game you meet a character with two different colored eyes who’s living in seclusion because she believes she’s cursed and is destined to bring misfortune to everyone around her. Which of course really made me think of Hua Cheng.

But if you raise your friendship level with her you’re able to help her, and you learn that “people born under the cursed star can change their destiny by finding their guiding light. One special person that they will be drawn to, only with their help can you change your cursed fate.”

My very self-indulgent WIP SVSSS AU fic. I have no regular update schedule, but tend to post 1-2 chapters a week. At the time of posting this it's 10 chapters and 47k words, and I'm not sure how many chapters it'll be by the end. I am loosely planning to rewrite most of the timeline of SVSSS in this AU, though!

It's rated T for now, but I can't promise it won't be changed to E as the plot progresses! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

Bingqiu Childhood Friends AU

Shen Yuan was a sickly young master of the family the washerwoman works for. He didn't had a mom and tried to stay in the background least his half brothers bully him in their endless competition for their father's attention and heir position. Like the time when Lord Shen caught Shen Yuan playing guqin incredibly well and complimented/braged about his son's talents, his jealous half brothers 'accidentaly' broke his guqin and threw him in the freezing Luo River before going away. Maybe they didn't know Shen Yuan couldn't swim or just didn't care, but he only didn't die because little Luo Binghe was there and saved him.

After that they quickly became friends, Luo Binghe started to play with toys that before he could only dream of when looking at the other kids play, and even when Shen Yuan was too weak to play he liked to read to Binghe and talk his ear off about monsters out in the world, also teaching him how to read and write. In one of the times Shen Yuan was running from his brothers Binghe led him to the humble little house he lived with the washerwoman, basking in the warmth 'is this how having a mom feels like?'. Shen Yuan eventually discovered mom and son suffered humiliations from his family but couldn't really do much about it, his own situation was also precarious, though he gave them food/ingredients from the kitchen where the staff loved him.

When his friend didn't appear to play anymore Luo Binghe grew anxious, even asking the mean Shen brothers about it, who only sneered saying that useless trash finally died from illness. Soon after his mom also started feeling weak, and Binghe despaired.

Shen Yuan fell sick from the same disease as the washerwoman, but he was fervirish and locked in his room so didn't know that or he would have begged his father to also let the healer see her. When he finally could get out of the Manor he ran to the little house but there was no one there, only a plate to rent it. Shen Yuan blamed himself thinking he had passed that disease to the kind woman. He asked around and found a ragged Binghe on the streets mid winter, who cried in his arms discovering his friend was actually alive.

"Binghe, why don't we go away and become cultivators? I heard the Cang Qiong entrance trial is near."

PS: Shen Yuan is sickly because one of his dad's other wives poisoned her when she was pregnant, which caused her to die in childbirth. When he discovered this via servants gossip he grew sick. He was always vocal to Binghe about hating harems.

Au where hualian have a baby (Did they adopt? Mpreg? Did the baby burst out of Xie Lian's head a la Athena? Don't know! Don't care! You decide!) and during some espionage nonsense, someone in heaven finds the baby, assumes Hua Cheng has it for a nefarious purpose, and "rescues" the thing.

Now they're in heaven with an extremely fussy baby hearing reports that all of Ghost City is rioting, ghosts are attacking and raiding every settlement they come across. Homes ransacked, fields burnt, temples razed to the ground. And Crimson Rain Sought Flower has just offered all the wealth from the temples his citizens have destroyed to whoever hands over the baby. Heaven is preparing for a siege. There's no time to discuss if they're in error. It's only a matter of time before he gets there, and it'll take every last one of them to hold him off.

And then Xie Lian ascends. And calmly explains that if his child isn't in his arms immediately, people are going to start losing their having limbs privileges

Very silly AU/Fic prompt where trial happens and Luo Binghe is all happy that he'll get his Shizun to stay...only then they start talking about punishments and sentencing and Luo Binghe is knocked out of plan realizing they're going to hurt him. Hearing old palace master talk about all these punishments and about hurting his Shizun and starts realizing the flaws in his plan.

Just slowly putting 2 and 2 together about how this kinda looks like he very much wanted to hurt Shizun...and just slowly like ....I fucked up so bad

So just goes demon mode scoops up his Shizun and nopes out of there.

Shen Qingqiu has gone a through a rough few days and is waiting for the torture and human stick punishment when he wakes up in clearly demon palace with Luo Binghe looking very sheepish.

SVSSS AU where SY transmigrated it doesn't exactly work... and instead SQQ splits into 2 does exactly same one SQQ the other SY and they are sharing system.

Luo Bingbing hanging out with NYY and SY (Au with double pregnant qijiu) and SJ is just staring daggers at Binghe fan clutched and hand on the hilt of his sword (HE IS READY TO KILL FOR HIS CHILDREN! even if the enemy is a 14 year old boy)

also side note: do you think SJ would be aware of Binghes crush on SY and treat binghe more cruelly or push him away/ignore him more?

double side note: do you think SY sneaks Binghe into his room so he doesn't have to sleep on the hard wood floor of the woodshed.

Luo Binghe is best friends with both Ning Yingying and Shen Yuan, All three of them hang out all the time. Shen Jiu hates it so much. Yue Qingyuan has to frequently hold his Xiao Jiu back from doing anything to rash, he tells him they're just kids playing, friends! Their kids need to make friends!

That calms him down enough to begrudgingly let them be.

Until.

He sees the way Luo Binghe acts around his son and ah he's about to break his promise to Yue Qingyuan and most definitely have beef with a 14 year old.

Also yes! He definitely sneaks into the wood shed, He sneaks in blankets and food for him. He also tells off his dad off for treating Binghe so badly and gives him the silent treatment, which is pissing Shen Jiu off and making him incredibly sad.

But what is he supposed to do when that BEAST is after his baby?!

Something from the Shen Yuan is Mobei Jun's little brother outline:

MBJ's initial meeting with SQH goes down the same until SQH gets MBJ back to the inn- at which point MBJ pulls out a talisman he activates- and a few minutes later Mobei Yuan pops out of a portal and starts fussing over his big bro until he falls asleep.

SQH is freaking out because MBJ called the kid A-Yuan and SQH knows his Mobei clan history (he had like 100 pages of unused backstory) and Mobei Yuan was supposed to die in a political assassination when he was 2, this kid is way older than that! Like... Six or something?

"WTF?" he whispers under his breath.

And then he's getting death glares thrown at him from the Mini Mobei and the kid whispers back. "What the fuck do you mean WTF??"

There's much whisper-screaming about transmigration and who SQH is and then eventually Mobei Yuan smacks him- he's remarkably strong for a little guy.

"Ow bro! Why?"

"That's for never using my brother's actual name anywhere in that fucking book! Do you know how long I spent not sure if the only sibling who's nice to me was Mobei Jun or just canon fodder???"

"Well considering you're like, 5-"

"I'm seven thank you."

MBJ wakes up before they can keep bickering, and SQH decides to just never mention that the System was absolutely going to let him murder MBJ, so which sibling fills the role probably isn't actually that important for plot stuff.

No need to stress little Cucumber Bro out, he's having it rough enough being a kiddo in the Northern Desert Court.

I'm almost sure Lou binghe isn't normal About Mobei Yuan (Shen Yuan) he's never normal about him. Anway is Mobei Jun okay with that? I personaly was pissed off when my friends suggest dating my siblings so I wonder how he would react

Well luckily(?) for Binghe that's not quite how things play out for him and Mobei Yuan.

The process of picking who the next Mobei Jun will be is Messy- like organized fights to the death and also covert assassination attempts messy. Little kids are 'safe' (you have to make really sure it looks like an accident) but once they hit 11 they're fair game. By the time A-Yuan is 11 his brother is having Shang Qinghua 'baby-sit' him as much as possible. (If none of their other siblings know where he is he's safe.)

Enter brand new disciple Binghe, sent on an errand that SQQ doesn't expect him to complete- hand deliver a letter to SQH. He makes it to the waiting room outside SQH's office- where he meets the Prettiest Boy Ever. (Icy blue eyes, long unbound black hair hastily parted to cover his forehead for some reason) And he so nice! Binghe is smitten. Utterly. A-Yuan pats his head and Binghe is irrevocably chemically altered forever.

Meanwhile- Mobei Zheng is actually in the office meeting with SQH that day. Their father has been talking about marrying A-Yuan off and he needs Qinghua to help him sabotage this potential engagement-preferably without A-Yuan knowing. They've just about got the situation handled when A-Yuan's laughter floats in from the other room. SQH has a spell that lets the two of them spy on the waiting room without the kids noticing so they do.

And then SQH has to quickly come up with reasons why Mobei Zheng cannot kill Luo Binghe for daring to make heart-eyes at his little brother. He ultimately goes with the truth. Kid's a half demon, doesn't know. Probably a Heavenly Demon actually. Might be useful? (Please my king don't kill the protagonist the kid hasn't even hit puberty yet.) Mobei Zheng reluctantly agrees but isn't happy about it.

Many years later when up and coming demon lord Luo Binghe shows up and kicks Mobei Zheng's ass. He's laying there on the ground defeated like, "Ok I GUESS he's good enough for my didi."

The best part is that Luo Binghe never actually saw the elder Mobei brother when he was young. He's up north because when Meng Mo saw his memories of A-Yuan he said. "That's totally an ice demon. Probably Mobei clan." So he's looking for his childhood crush that's probably a merchant or something? ( A-Yuan's cover story was so full of holes but Binghe was too smitten to notice) and has no idea why this Prince Guy is insisting he meet his little brother? This better not be another attempt to marry him to some rando, he's real tired of that.
