i drew this at xmas eve if you can't tell
cultural context i originally wrote up on toyhouse:
in norway, we celebrate xmas on the evening of december 24th, and if there are still kids in the house, some guy dressed as santa will show up to hand out the biggest presents. usually it's the neighbor, or an older male family member who is mysteriously absent from the living room while it's happening.
we don't really do those american christmas mornings with the stockings above the fireplace and morning present openings and those things. i know what yall are doing, you love making cartoons and movies about it and i've seen a lot of em.
dec 24th is also when we open all the presents. notably we also tend to dress very fancy for the occassion for some reason (i just wanna wear a nice sweater as i'm nonbinary but hrgh i'm also closeted so um)
and we feast. of course. fanciest food of the year let's go
december 25th is just the aftermath of the giftpocalypse tbh. some nice food then too.
but our advent calendars only go up to the 24th for a reason.

so my sims game randomly decided, while i wasn't looking, that rune should take up cross-stitching. and then this comic happened
