hey guys! i would like to take a moment to apologize. i’ve been so conflicted lately in my own understanding of this issue & educated myself on the situation & topic of cultural appropriation. i’ve come to the conclusion that regardless of what anyone thinks, the hairstyle was wrong. i’m not african american however, i do know that african americans come across negative situations because of the hairstyle & for chan to easily wear it is wrong. he did say it was his idea & although i’m not anti chan, i still do think he should be educated in a polite & respectful manner. i do not think he’s allowed to speak as of now & i do trust that he will address the situation when the time is right. i trust chan & i love him dearly still. but, it was a mistake & it should definitely not be made again. i hope he grows as a person from this and learns from it.

people these days are so quick to assume & turn on someone. we haven’t heard from chan or his input so let it be until then. chan is a human being. he has feelings & he sees what we say. clearly this is all a huge mistake & misunderstanding. y'all depend on him for support & advice when it’s convenient for you, but as soon as he needs your help & support in a situation like this, y'all turn on him? how low of you. you have to keep in mind that he still needs to provide for himself as well, especially in the mental aspect of things. but no, as soon as something happens, you drop him & run away without an explanation from him. we’re all human & we all make mistakes.
