The bass is ready for liftoff! 🚀 Through an unnecessarily complex calculation, I’ve arranged all my tracks according to color and BPM so I can remember where each session is. 🤓 (at NY Studio Factory) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrqN1k5FDpB/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1enuj1fdkq9s7

Practicing Fidgey now and adding in some modular hats (@vermonagear TwinCussion) and waves (Doepfer A-110 VCO). Hope this setup works for some live shows. I think I’m getting closer to the sound I want. (at North Hampton, New Hampshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bne2Eh-BQ63/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1iswrn0pjdd1n

RIP Bar Matchless, which I noticed today is now closed. I played my first LRKR show ever here with @twin.primes and Omega Vibe! Today also happens to be the one year anniversary of going out on my own as a full-time musician. Life moves pretty fast! (at Bar Matchless)

This painting is in the “studio” where I took the photo for the Live Free cover art. It’s one of many original paintings at the beach house where I live. I couldn’t make out the artist’s signature but I believe it’s Lucie Palmer. Someone I know will correct me if that’s incorrect. You can listen to the song wherever you stream, buy, or download music at the link in my bio! (seriously it’s available for download on @soundcloud if you want it for free) #livefree #lrkrmusic #studioshack #freemusic (at North Hampton, New Hampshire)

Surgery to fix my broken scaphoid was a success! I couldn’t have asked for a better team of caregivers at Mid Rivers Surgery center to get this done so seamlessly, with very little pain. Can’t wait to get back into the studio to finish the new album! #cyborg #bionicboy #lrkrmusic #scaphoidfracture (at Mid-Rivers Surgery Center)

It's Okay To Dream...
EDIT: this was written so long ago but I forgot about it in my drafts until today...
Everyone has ideas, everyone has dreams. But, when expressed, sometimes our ideas and dreams don't inspire others with equal excitement to act. It can seem like the dreamer is the only one with the power to realize a dream, so I decided to write this piece about why it's okay to look to the stars, ponder what our lives could be, and act to realize a goal that others might not find worthy of pursuing.
It's Okay to Dream...
Look at the stars and wonder what they are. Wonder where they are. How did they get there? The closest star, 25,300,000,000,000 miles away, others billions beyond.
They are so far away, so small. Untouchable. Yet I care about seeing them every night. They bring me peace as they shine bright, deep in space.
After any day of burns at the restaurant, wasted time on social media or failure to make enough music, I can look up at the completely unknown and be inspired to keep dreaming. So I didn't realize all my goals in the last 24 hours? Stop right there. Look up. Each star is as small as we are in the context of the universe. Each of our actions equally meaningless within said context. Shirked actions toward lofty dreams won't get you any further but keep dreaming the dream. Force yourself to realize that time is not infinite. Days upon days of no action towards the dream are fruitless but the fire inside you lives until the day you die. Keep the fire alive and the potential to create the beauty of a realized dream will remain.
Our daily actions are a source of of life and any beauty we create. As the stars burn their gasses, both their fuel and source of beauty, we too burn out with work and urgency to do things we don't actually want to do; at the end of it all, we will still end up like the stars: Once fuel-filled and glowing with beauty and promise, we will burn out and with our bodies, our beauty and ability to dream.
Do not be afraid to dream and act to fulfill your dream. Unlike stars, we know when we haven't done something to emit beautiful light. For the stars it happens automatically. We can use the stars as inspiration to become more conscious of the potential beauty we have to offer and offer it through expressing our dreams to others and realizing them.
