𝐈𝐓   𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐃   𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄   𝐒𝐀𝐘𝐋𝐎𝐑   𝐇𝐀𝐃   𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍   𝐈𝐍   𝐀   𝐁𝐀𝐃   𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐃   𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑!   granted,   lilith   knew   it   had   only   been   a   couple   of   hours;   she   was   being   dramatic.   it   was   clear   that   her   best   friend   had   just   woken   up   in   a   bad   mood.   nothing   personal   about   it,   but   it   didn't   stop   lilith   from   wanting   her   attention   -   as   she   yearned   for   it   with   the   entire   group.   in   fact,   said   sour   mood   only   made   her   crave   her   affection   more.   she   had   made   several   small,   subtle   attempts   to   gain   that   little   grain   of   acknowledgment   from   her,   but   nothing   had   worked.   staring   at   her,   sitting   close   to   her,   or   sighing   longingly   at   her,   and   finally,   she   had   to   give   in   and   ask   -   to   beg   for   that   little   crumb   from   her.

the   sound   of   her   laughter   was   a   good   thing,   as   were   the   teasing-sounding   words   accompanying   it.   but   she   was   right;   she   did   sound   pathetically   sad.   she   was!   that   was   the   whole   point!   her   head   tilted,   looking   at   her   through   thick   lashes   as   an   innocent   little   smile   appeared   on   her   lips.   the   sight   of   saylor   approaching   her   left   her   feeling   excited.   she   immediately   welcomed   her   into   her   lap,   winding   her   arms   around   her   hips   and   giggling   as   she   returned   the   sweet   kiss   she   was   finally   blessed   with.   ❝   my   pretty   best   friend   has   been   nearly   ignoring   me   all   morning;   of   course   i'm   pathetically   sad.   ❞

with   one   arm   wrapped   around   her   friend's   hips,   lilith   slipped   her   fingers   under   the   fabric   of   her   shirt,   relishing   the   feel   of   her   skin.   her   other   hand   moved   up   towards   her   hair,   weaving   through   the   locks   that   cascaded   down   her   back.   she   gazed   up   at   her,   utterly   captivated.   was   saylor   even   aware   of   her   own   beauty?   did   she   know   that   she   was   the   human   embodiment   of   a   sunset?   ❝   i'm   like   a   sunflower,   you   know?   i   need   the   sun   or   i'll   die!   ❞   lilith's   giggles   emphasized   her   playful   words,   and   she   tilted   her   head   forward   a   little   to   nuzzle   her   nose   against   her   friend's   jaw.   ❝   all   jokes   aside   though,   are   you   good?   or   is   it   just   one   of   those   days?   ❞

It wasn't Lilith's fault that Saylor was in a bad mood. Usually she was pretty cheerful, an upbeat girl albeit one with a short temper. A big personality to make up for her small height. Today, she'd simply woken up on the wrong side of the bed and decided to make it everyone's problem.

Sitting beside Lilith, Saylor scrolls through the endless titles available on Netflix. None of them are catching her interest, and the coffee on the table next to her is getting cold. Only when Lilith speaks first does the blonde give her her attention, a smile finally taking shape on her lips despite her efforts to stave it off.

❝ A crumb of affection? Aw. That sounds so pathetically sad, ❞ she laughs, dropping the remote onto the cushion before climbing over and plopping herself down in Lilith's lap. She cups her face, smoothing her thumbs over her cheeks, and plants a big kiss right on her lips.
