Warden leans back, cataloging the way Chomper winces when he rests his leg. Not a good day, then. "да. Nothing awful." He reassures. He's still somewhat astounded that Chomper agreed to meet so late. Then again, when Warden gets a rare glimpse of the other man's face, he always looks like he's lacking sleep.

"Big storm in a few days. So says Miles. Didn't know if you'd be ready for some spot training with the rooks or..." Warden, uncharacteristically, trails off. His eyes find Chomper's leg, propped up as it is. Snow and a mostly healed injury... well, most soldiers are familiar with how cold temps affect scars and damaged muscle. He clears his throat and recenters himself. He's not a sensitive or sentimental man, and it would do poorly for his image to appear as anything but clinically concerned.

"I simply wanted to, ah, проверять- check, that you would be well enough." Warden knows this is a sore subject. Maybe he should have put on a record after all.

The Caf is dim lit this time of night. Most Shadows are in bed or on watch, so the halls are hushed. B.B’s record player sits idle on a table nearby, still and quiet. The thing was busted all to hell, but loved dearly by the company. It traveled bases as diligently as any soldier here, and had earned its keep in Warden’s mind. Leave it to music to heal the soul and you'll never be let down.

He idly contemplates getting up and picking a record, settling the glossy black disk in place and letting some tune flow, but he doesn't move from where he sits. His tea steams into the air from beside his arm. The Caf is dim and quiet. That is, of course, until a certain Sgt. shows up in the doorway. 

Warden will never get over how distinctive and ridiculous the man's fluffy blue jacket is. Not tactical in the slightest. Still, he can't help but feel fond when he waves the man over to his table. Warden made sure to grab the one by the wall of the large room. What a surprise it is that trained soldiers prefer to be tucked in the darkness, backs tactically to the wall. How lucky for them that there is no one else around to fight for this prime spot Warden claimed.
