ezra's breath shook in his chest as he listened to hera. it felt like the day the ghost crew had come back for HIM. yet, now, it was just a moment so simple-- a late, sleepless night with ezra unable to sleep, plagued by both zeb's snoring and disappointing the crew who had taken him in.

hera had found him, curled up in the co-pilot's seat like a lolth-cat. ezra had tried to make himself small so no one would notice him. hera, checking on the ship's auto-pilot, had noticed him anyway. some plan.

he swallowed thickly, saliva doing nothing to parch his dry throat. it felt sticky yet arid, words caught there like it was flypaper. he finally managed a disgruntled scoff, though his voice nearly cracked as he spoke, "even if i mess up?"

ice seemed to travel through his veins. the face of master luminara unduli haunting his dreams. they couldn't save her-- she had already been gone. when it wasn't her, it was the grand inquisitor with his yellow eyes STALKING his every move. every where he went, ezra seemed to FAIL. how many times could he fail before hera's words rung hollow?

ezra tilted his head, watching the other cautiously. he didn't even have the other's name, but there was a unique ENERGY to him. a gentle aura that was neither LIGHT or DARK. yet it was gentle nonetheless-- or that could have been ezra. when rebellion and survival were all you knew, may things seemed gentle.

"can I, uh, help you?" he asked, uncertain what to make of the young man before him. he had one of those faces, the ones that could be old or young, but ezra didn't think he was too much older than himself.

[  PHONE  ] : sender and receiver are about to kiss when a cell phone goes off and makes them pause. + extra points if the call is from an ex/rival love interest.

[  FACE  ] :  receiver won’t stop talking. in an attempt to get them to stop, sender grabs their face, underestimating the intensity of the act. 

[  FOREHEAD  ] :  sender and receiver lean to kiss each other, misjudging the destination they bump foreheads instead of meeting lips. 

[  CHIME  ] :  as sender and receiver are about to kiss, a clock chimes interrupting the almost kiss and reminding them of the time.  

[  STRAND  ] :  receiver stands still as sender leans closer to their face, expecting a kiss but is surprised when receiver just tucks a strand of their hair behind their ear. 

[ FALL  ] :  sender somehow ends up accidentally on top of receiver, their faces are close to each other but at the last minute sender pulls away.
