His winter comes to an end, the snow was finally melting. Lu Is doing really well in his parkour novice class and I've gone ahead and signed him up for the follow-up parkour foundations class ❤️

Having already done the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed health video, the next breed that got voted on is the popular Poodle!

I prefer to get average or typical pictures of the breed for use in these videos, rather than rely on stock footage of show dogs. So if you have footage of your (or your family’s) pets, with no kids in them that are too young to consent, and you’re willing to let me use them in a breed-health video (credited with your username), pretty please add them to this post or the Dropbox link below.

One year old and still fabulous 🤩

I hope everyone had a treat of their own for Valentine's Day 💘

Luminous and I have started a doggy parkour foundations class! It's been a lot of fun 😊 Some of the tricks we've been working on include: Paws Up, Back, Touch, Under, and Balance. Lou seems to really enjoy it and I'm hoping it builds up his confidence.

Week 52!!!

Luminous is one year old!!!

We had a fun little photo op because you only live once and he did brilliant. He also got lots of treats and we ran around the park afterwards 🥰 I can't wait to see what this next year brings for us!

Week 51!

I'm glad I've bought my darling so many fun toys and chews so his favorite possession can be the random lump of ice he found outside! 🙂 Dogs, am I right?

But he's spending some time with the boarder this week as I have work in the city over and it's too icy to drive. I can't wait till it warms up and I can bring him with me again!

Week 50!

Luminous and I went on lots of hikes and played in the snow. It's hard to believe he's almost a year now!

Week 49

The last month and a half we haven't done much training besides reinforcing what Lu already knows but now we're back in gear! 😄

We practiced at the park and took a nice walk to admire the ducks and frozen pond. Lu also got a brand new super lacy adorable collar that I adore but isn't suitable for all day wear. More for HIS enjoyment, we also picked up a Kong Tugga Wubba that is now his most favorite toy ❤️

Week 48

A mellow week, exactly what we both needed.

Lu got a trim at the groomer's which he desperately needed. His hair has gotten so long! I believe I'm approaching the maximum length I'm comfortable taking care of.

Especially when he does such terrible things as knock over my unicorno collection 😂 things like that are why is why he still stays in his playpen when I'm at work.

Lu may love the snow but that doesn't mean he and Halo don't silently bicker over the heating pad 😂

Week 46

Luminous and I spent a few more days with family before an uneventful flight back to the PNW.

Honestly, I think him and I were both grateful to have some quiet time.

Week 45 was a BIG one because Lu flew down to Texas with me to visit family for the holidays. He did so well on the flight and in the airport, everyone complemented his good manners~ 💖

We flew Delta and used the Petskd top-expandable pet carrier with 18x11x11x dimensions for those curious. No issues.

Fortunately in the days before the flight, I had the foresight to take Lu on two very long hikes around our local area. The weather was wonderful for it (if a bit damp) and he had a great time duck watching. Little guy was exhausted by the time we arrived!

He also loved meeting my family... Everyone except my father 😅 who it was on *sight* with. My dad tried so hard to make friends too. Maybe next time.

Week 44

It was so wonderful to be back home with my beloved Lu 😊 after only a day, snow began to fall and it was heartwarming how much he enjoyed it.

I felt the need to put a light on him with how dark it was getting before our walks. He looked like Rudolph 🤭

He does have a tiny boo boo by his left eye from playing with the other dogs while he was being boarded. It ended up healing with no issues!

Weeks 42-43

Luminous and I were BUSY! I spent two weeks out of town for work and he stayed with his boarder. The photo of him and Halo was the night before I left 💔

But Lu did really well ❤️‍🩹 his boarder took great care of him and enjoyed dressing up up while she spoiled him with treats.

The poodle says the cat did it but I have it on good authority that the cat was asleep on his heating pad during the time of the crime. This warrants a thorough investigation!
