“Well thank you,” Camila chuckled, smiling. “Well, I didn’t come for drama, but between sharing a bed with my ex boyfriend and one of my very good friends who I might have feelings for showing up, I’m guessing drama is inevitable.”
“Holy moly, talk about throwing you in the deep end! Sharing a bed with your ex must be so uncomfortable. How are you finding that?” Taking another sip of wine. “At least there’s hope with the friend you have feelings for though, right? Reckon he might feel the same?”

things moved fast in the villa, that was sure. not even three days after he arrived, he was sent out on a date ( not that he was really complaining since the outcome was more than worth it ), witnessed his best friend and roommate being voted off the show, and now came the dreaded recoupling moment. admittedly, ben wasn’t looking all that forward to sharing a bed with anyone — regardless if he was with them, or not. he just preferred to have the entire area for himself. now don’t get him wrong, he didn’t mind cuddling, but just the whole aspect of having to share a bed with that person for almost two weeks made him slightly uncomfortable. again, don’t get him wrong. he adored lucy with every bone in his body. she was his girlfriend — partner ? skinny lover ? they knew each other for literally years, have more than enough in common, she was beyond lovely, but he still liked to have time to be alone. being in the villa packed to the brim with other people, he didn’t really have time to just sit around and read a good book, or even hear himself think. now that he had been coupled up for the next two weeks, he would have roommates. roommates that weren’t rami. meaning they wouldn’t care in the least bit if he wanted them to just not disturb him while he read. snapping out of his thoughts, he began packing up his room. running a hand through his hair, he took in the emptiness that was once filled to the brim with his and rami’s things. to this day he couldn’t understand why he was one of the few people to vote to keep him on. he was nice, he didn’t cause drama, and they finally had a moment to catch up for a bit. but oh well, you can’t please everyone i guess.
grabbing his bag, he turned off the lights to his old room before closing the door; his fingers lingering on the door knob for a few seconds as he let out a deep exhale. making his way down the hall, he paused for a second to pull out his phone. re-reading over the text ‘ mr passion ‘ had sent him, he squinted his eyes to make out the room numbers as he continued. finding the room, he let out another deep breath as he shoved his phone back down into the pocket of his pants. stilling his hand on the knob, he wondered if anyone else would be inside, or if he would have enough free time to just collect himself. opening the door slowly, he winced at the light that filled the room — so the whole time to collect himself is not an option he takes it. walking in, he returned the smile as he placed his bags on the other side of the bed. “ i see were the first ones here ? or did the other pair drop their stuff off already ? “ he asked as he took a seat on the side of the freshly made blankets. “ i mean, i don’t think it’s weird. i can always go downstairs to sleep on the couch for the next two weeks, if you want. that’s always an option. “ he reminded her gently as he placed his hands in his lap. “ s’not sad. well, i don’t think it’s sad anyways. “ he shrugged. “ i’m not looking forward to this. “ he admitted softly. “ i’m not looking forward to waking up at near midnight, because our roommates have spontaneously decided to go out at it. “ he chuckled as he motioned his hands towards the empty bed besides theirs. “ we’re going to have to write out somewhere that that is a no can do when others are in the room. “
Shrugging at his question, Lucy flapped her arms either side of her as she turned back around to close the door to the balcony, taking in the last breath of evening air as she did. “I don’t think they’re here yet, the room seems relatively bare.” Crawling into her side of the bed, she lay on her back staring at the ceiling. “Don’t be silly, if i have to share a bed with someone, I’m glad it’s you. But if you’d prefer to not sleep together I totally get it. No rush, no pressure. The thought of snuggling at night sounds lovely though. ” Tilting her head to look at the blonde out of the bottom of her eyes before glancing back up at the room with a chuckle. “Surely they wouldn’t with us in the room? I’m hoping night is for sleeping and day is for us to leave the room if they want to go at it.” Knowing very little about the couple that was joining them, only briefly speaking to Gigi, she wasn’t sure what to expect. She wasn’t even sure if the two were a couple. Horrible really, deciding to go into a show like that and not really paying attention to anything around her. Mostly the woman kept to herself, tried to make friends and tried to only hear about the drama. Perhaps she was still a little new to be let in on secrets like that. Of course, it was hard keeping tabs on other people and what they were up to when whatever was happening with her was happening thick and fast. How could the Brit figure out who Niall was with when her head was too taken up with the fact she herself was with Ben?
Glancing down at the man at the side of the bed, she held her hand out towards him. “Come cuddle for a bit before our roommates arrive?” She asked quietly, giving him her best puppy dog eyes. Sitting up to allow him to get comfortable first, she shifted down lightly to lay her head on his chest, wrapping her arm around his waist and tracing her fingertips ever so lightly up and down his arm. “There’s something I should probably admit to.” She spoke softly. “I love cuddling like this. I hope we do it all the time. But when I’m trying to genuinely get to sleep, I’m one of those awkward people who don’t really like contact?” She admitted, making it sound more of a question than a statement as she tilted her head to look up at her partner. “I don’t know what it is. I think I get too clammy or uncomfortable and I just like my own space to get to sleep. I’m not a cover stealer and I do tend to stay in my own side. I have been known to talk in my sleep and sleepwalk too. But I only really do that when I’m super tired or worried about something.” Hiding the bottom of her face against his tshirt, she tightly closed her eyes for a second.
“I thought only fair to warn you. Plus, with so much people around constantly, there’s a chance I’ll disappear to be by myself sometimes during the day. I mean no offence, just if I don’t get a few minutes alone, there’s a chance I’ll have a breakdown.” She actress admitted, softly shaking her head. “In hindsight, this is probably not the best environment for me, is it?” She teased, tilting her head down to nestle into Ben’s side and close her eyes. “I am, however, happy we get to do this as much as we like for the next while. I reckon I could stay here forever.”

hoping she was more familiar with the villa, he followed her lead. his chin jutted down as he chuckled to himself. “i can’t say the same,” he said in regards to his experience with salsa dancing. a hand rose to scratch the outer corner of his eyebrow anxiously before slipping into his pockets. his eyes more or less locked on the floor, only looking back up at her when it seemed like it would draw more attention if he didn’t look at her. “no problem,” he mumbled under his breath. he wasn’t sure whether to feel relieved at the flattery — if nothing else, it meant she didn’t despise him — or embarrassed by the idolization. color rose to his cheeks all the same.
“god, that feels like a lifetime ago.” it had been nearly two years since he had toured and much longer since he had pulled anyone up on stage. in recent years, he started embracing normalcy. that’s what he liked about lucy. even though she was in the biggest movie of the year, he didn’t know much about her. her work spoke for itself. in an attempt to be every ounce as warm as she was, he joked, “wait ‘til you see me dance.” he returned the nudge. “would this be the right time to quote skins? ‘thanks for loving me’?” he hoped mentioning a british show would be enough to impress her. he didn’t have much else up his sleeve. if nothing else, the night was sure to be fun and that outcome made him gleam. it was exactly what he needed. after a beat passed, he asked, “so we’re 100% getting hammered, right?” dancing meant there’d be music and music meant there’d be drinks. and of course grabbing dinner afterwards gave him another opportunity to drink. it was easier to think of the night as a party or at least like a ‘see what happens’ kind of night. spending the whole night worried about getting along had all the formalities and stress of a job interview.
The walk out of the villa was relatively short as she pointed the directions silently as they walked. “Don’t worry. I’m sure it’ll be a laugh if nothing else. Who knows, we might find our calling and be on Strictly Come Dancing in no time.” She jested. Stealing a few glances, she saw the colour change in his cheeks which instantly made her mirror the action. If only she could be in control of how her body reacted to any raise of emotion. Her hands were a little clammy from holding them so tightly. As long as she cooled down by the time the dancing begun, she didn’t mind for now. The blonde laughed, nodding at his comment. “It certainly was. It must have been so strange for you back then. I mean, you were still a kid essentially and thrown into such fame and lack of privacy. I’m lucky. I’ve been working since I was about thirteen but I passed all that craziness until now.” She shrugged, very aware she was rambling. Mostly for the sake of it too. Talking was something that came so easily to the Brit. It was when she was silent there would be something to worry about.
His quote came as a surprise as she looked at him in shock, a grin on her lips. “No way. You watched Skins? Colour me impressed!” Bouncing slightly on the balls of her feet as they almost arrived at their destination. “My goodness, my heart broke for Freddie. I’m still not over that last episode of that season.” She shook her head. “Have you seen any other British programmes? Let me be your TV watching guru. If I don’t recommend something you end up loving, I’ll retire.” Nodding her head at the question, her brows frowned. “Of course, don’t expect us to salsa dance stone cold sober, do you?” Before arriving, having been on exactly zero dates, she wasn’t sure how they were supposed to go. Or even how the dates here were supposed to go. Her way of thinking would be to just have fun, get to know the person she’s with and make the most of whatever experience they were given. Life was too beautiful to not enjoy every fleeting moment. No matter how fleeting.
Upon entering the room where they would be dancing for the evening, which looked quite rustic with a bar at one side and a stage at the other. A big dance floor in the middle surrounded by red booths. People were already gathering for the lesson, she presumed. Her smile was genuine as she took her time taking it in. “Isn’t this cute? People really take this seriously. Look at her dress.” She whispered the last comments, widening her eyes to look at a woman in a flamboyant red and black dress. “Laughing as she slid out her jacket, handing it to the man. “Can you take this and you can go get us a seat? I’ll get us some drinks. What would you like, darling?”

The curly haired man enjoyed company, especially when it was that of the female sort. Grinning he waved happily and was pleased when he saw the girl slip into the pool with him. “Well after a hot and sweaty run it feels refreshing.” he added. “Deal.” he smiled, enjoying her company already. “I love a good game.” he smirked.
Crinkling up her nose and lips in a pout as she looked at the Brit, she shook her head. “I’m sure it does. But I bet you could just just as hot and sweaty dancing like a maniac, and I know which one I would rather do.” She teased, bobbing around in a circle to get used to the water. A smirk replying to his own, Lucy tilted her head side to side as she hummed. “Oh! Wait!” She spoke mostly to herself as she clambered out of the pool, not exactly movie like, and grabbed a plastic ball from the chairs at the side. “Water polo? I’m a brilliant goalie, you know. Chelsea wanted me on their mens team but I had to turn them down.” She spoke matter-of-factly as she slid back in the pool.

“Oh really? Are you starting to cause drama already, my love? Tell me everything. I’m such a hideaway here, let me live vicariously through you! it’s certainly something else, isn’t it? I’m still not 100% sure what I’m doing here to be honest, but it’s lovely here and who doesn’t love front row seats to drama?”
