Feeling sad about Jace and Luke hours
Just the way Jace is always looking out for and protecting Luke. And how Jace carried the weight of being a bastard first, and he did it alone, and he wasn't allowed to talk about it so he had no choice but to sit with that feeling of otherness, of not really belonging.
But then Luke does understand, in time, and Jace does all he can to shield his brother from those same insecurities. Because the whole kingdom believes that they're mistakes and maybe the boys might feel that way about themselves but never, ever about their brother. And Jace tries to make Luke laugh and tries to make him feel that they'll be okay. But the first time they're separated, and Jace isn't there to protect him, Luke dies. And it was Jace's idea. Send us. It was his idea and the only person that can understand him, the person he spent his life defending, is gone.
And what's left but that feeling of failure? What's left but the crushing loneliness, and the empty space at his side?

Turns out there's loads of things about the old Lucas that are pretty special.
