Swim Lessons | Percy Jackson x Reader
Summary: Every camper must know how to swim, so who better than the son of the sea God to teach you, and the possibility of learning more than just how to swim.
Authors Note: This has been in my drafts for the last two weeks and I’m still not happy with it, but it’s making me irrationally angry so I’m posting it just so I can stop having to write it.
Word count:768
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“It’s fine. Everything will be okay. He won't laugh at me,” you say to yourself, making your way to Cabin Three. “He is just the most famous demi-god ever to exist, and you haven’t spoken a single word to him before. Everything will be completely fine.” With a sigh, you knock on the cabin door. Thirty seconds pass before the door finally opens, revealing a half-dressed Percy.
“Hey, sorry, I was changing after training. What can I do for you?”
“H-Hi, I was, um... hi.”
“Hi?”
“Sorry, we’ve never met before,” you say nervously.
“Are you new to Camp Half-Blood? New campers get sent to the Hermes cabin.”
“Wait, you’re not a child of Poseidon, right? Are you my sister?” Percy asks in a rush.
“No, no, I’m not new. I’m a daughter of Apollo. Chiron sent me here to ask you something.”
“Oh, a daughter of Apollo. That makes sense—you have that golden hue to you. What did you need to ask me?”
“It’s silly, really. I can come back another day if you’re busy,” you say, turning to head back to your cabin.
“NO,” Percy says, taking your wrist into his hand. “I mean, I’m not busy. I can help you.”
“Chiron said every camper needs to know how to swim, and I don’t. He said you might be able to teach me. But it’s no trouble if you’re not able to help me.”
“No, I would love to help you. Meet me at the beach in ten.”
“Thank you, Percy.”
“You're welcome…”
“Y/n, my name is Y/n.”
“Nice to meet you, Y/n,” Percy says with a smile.
The waves were calm as you and Percy stood in the shallow end, the water reaching just past your waists. You thought you would be more nervous around a stranger, but Percy was good at keeping the mood light, always asking if you were okay.
“Okay, now that you know water safety 101, let's start with floating on your back. I know, I know, it sounds boring, but it’s important to know.”
Percy helps you onto your back, teaching you how to move your arms and legs to change directions in the water before he gets onto his own back.
“So, why have you never learned how to swim?” Percy asks.
“The water always scared me. Not knowing what’s swimming down below... Drowning is scary as well, but it’s mostly fish. Not a big fish person.”
“WHAAAT? How are fish scary? Most aren’t even deadly.”
“They have these large eyes that don’t blink. Who wants to be staring at huge, unblinking black eyes?”
“Don’t let the sea nymphs hear you say that. They might drag you down to the bottom of the sea.”
“You would let them kill me?”
“No, but maybe let them scare you a bit before saving you,” Percy says, laughing.
“Oh, my hero.”
“Yeah, your hero,” Percy says with a soft smile.
The next hour is spent teaching you how to swim. It was easy with the son of Poseidon. You had nothing to fear, knowing that he would let nothing happen to you. He was a pretty good teacher, too—you were able to catch on fast. You hadn’t been so relaxed at camp before; it felt more like a vacation than training to fight against monsters.
“I think you officially know how to swim,” Percy says, swimming to the shore.
“All thanks to you,” you say, following.
“It probably helps when your teacher can control water, huh?”
“Just a bit.”
You and Percy get out of the water, drying off, and sit on the beach. You couldn’t help but steal a few glances at him, his wet hair framing his face and dripping down his chiseled stomach.
“Enjoying the view?”
Your face turns red, being caught staring. “Sorry,” you say, looking down.
“Don’t worry, I was staring at you too.”
Your face flushes brighter, taken aback by how blunt Percy was being. It was no secret that he was considered one of the most attractive people at camp—his looks were often discussed just as much as his fighting prowess. The thought that he could find you attractive seemed almost impossible to believe. You wouldn’t exactly call yourself unattractive, but you definitely weren’t a daughter of Aphrodite.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable,” Percy says, looking worried.
“No, you didn’t. I just wasn’t expecting it.”
“You’re beautiful, Y/n.”
“Yeah?” you say, looking at Percy.
“Yeah,” Percy says, keeping eye contact with you.
An idea pops into your head to hopefully have this moment again in the future.
“Hey, Percy?”
“Yeah?”
“I think I still need swimming lessons. I don’t think one day is enough.”
A wide smile forms across Percy’s face. “I was thinking the same thing, actually. I think you should also get over your fear of fish. I have a feeling you’ll be around more sea life from now on.”
“Oh yeah? Why’s that?”
“No reason.”
“Mhm, can we start with a cute sea animal? Work my way up to the scary, beady eyes? Maybe a sea lion or a hippocampus?”
“I’m sure I can have that arranged. Same time tomorrow?”
“Yeah, that sounds great,” you say as the horn for lunch is blown.
“I guess we should start heading back,” Percy says, looking a little disappointed.
“Yeah, I guess we should. It was nice hanging out with you. See you tomorrow,” you say, turning to walk away. You make it almost a foot before—
“WAIT.”
“Yeah?” you say, confused.
“I don’t want to stop talking to you yet. I know we can’t sit at the same table, but can we talk together until our cabin is called?”
A smile spreads across your face. “Come on, fish boy,” you say, holding out your hand.

Love Is A Science | Percy Jackson x Reader
Summary: You and Percy have always been best friends you just needed a little push for you to become more.
Word Count: 1.1k
Author Note: Did I write this in the car to eat dry turkey and complain to my family about what tariffs mean, yes. Did I get car sick from writing this also, yes. Not proofread. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Feel free to leave any requests.
—---—---—‐--—---—---—---—---—---
You and Percy had been friends ever since he came to Camp Half-Blood. You both were always next to each other; if you weren’t, you were talking about them somehow. Every camper could see that both of you were meant to be together. The teasing and questioning were endless. The Aphrodite cabin had a blast creating different scenarios and challenging each other on who could get you two together first. For years the both of you had been denying any claims that you were anything more than friends. Both of you believing that you were just really good friends, companions in battle.
But after the battle in Manhattan, things started to change, both of you becoming more aware of each other's presence, not wanting to be more than an arm's reach away from each other at all times. Something deeper had started to grow after all these years, something unspoken.
That's where you find yourself, both silently staring into the fire crackling on the beach. You’re wrapped in Percy’s arms, your back pressed against his chest. Before the battle, if anyone had asked, it would have been simply cuddling nothing more, than just a way for two friends to stay warm. However, now if you were asked the same question, you weren’t sure what you would say. It was different now, you didn’t just want to be around Percy anymore, you needed to be around him. You needed to know that he was safe, that you weren’t going to lose him. The possibility of losing Percy opened up feelings you had no idea you had for the son of Posideon.
You wanted to kiss him, to be held by him, for him to fight every battle with coming home to you as his only goal. You were hopelessly and undoubtedly in love with Percy Jackson. The only trouble was that you had no idea how to bring the topic up to him. You had spent years denying the claims that you were lovers, was it possible for him to have the same change of heart as you?
The fire crackled loudly filling any awkward silence. You knew you only had so much time to confess your feelings before curfew, if you didn’t do it today you knew you would talk yourself out of it every day to come.
“Percy?” You call out not taking your eyes off of the flames.
Percy, who is usually quick with his words, had been unusually quiet this whole time. Usually, he would be humming a song, or bouncing his knee to create any sort of noise. Today he looked completely lost in his thoughts.
“Percy?”
“A daughter of Aphrodite asked me out today,” Percy said looking down to look at you.
Shocked was the only way you could describe what you felt right now. Your heart started to race and your head started to spin, were you too late?
“W-what did you say?”
Percy sighed before saying “I told her I would think about it.”
More dread filled your body. “Do you like her?”
“Well no, but there is no harm in just one date right?”
Your head was still spinning but your heartbeat started to slow back down, you still had time.
“Do you like anyone?” You asked.
“There is this one girl, but I don't think she is interested.”
Your heart broke at that moment, you had waited too long. You could have had him years ago but now that you are about to lose him you have never wanted him more. Pain fills your body, and you find it more difficult to breathe.
“She would be dumb not to be interested in you, Percy.” You say tears filling your eyes.
“Y/n are you okay, did I do something?”
“No, it's what I did,” You say tears strolling down your face.
“What did you do?”
“I didn’t tell you how much I love you and now it’s too late.”
You stand up wiping your tears, needing to separate yourself from Percy. Percy soon follows but keeps his distance.
“Y/n?”
“I should have told you so much sooner, but we both needed time to heal after the battle and I was worried you wouldn’t feel the same way,” You ramble off walking back and forth.
“Y/N,” Percy yells.
Your head swings to look at him, tears still streaming down your face. Percy steps closer taking your hands in his. Both of you keep eye contact the whole time as he allows you time to calm down.
“I love you too”
“You what?”
“The girl I was talking about was you, I love you.”
“This isn’t funny seafoam, you can’t joke about this, I’m barely holding myself together right now.”
“I’m not joking, in Manhattan, all I could keep thinking about was that I was terrified I was going to die before being able to kiss you.”
For what felt like an eternity you were finally able to breathe. The pain washed away into a feeling of overwhelming joy.
“Kiss me,” You say.
“What?”
“Kiss me, do you not want to anymore?”
“NO,” Percy yells.
Percy quickly takes you into his arms and presses his lips against yours. Your eyes quickly shut, wrapping your arms around Percy’s neck. It was everything you imagined and more, you could have stayed in the position for hours. That was until the sound of a horn being blown in the distance alerting you both that curfew was in a few minutes.
“I don’t want to let you go,” Percy said nuzzling himself into your neck.
“Then don’t.
Percy looks at you in a confused way, when you finally explain it to him.
“You’re all alone in your cabin, sneak me in.”
“You are brilliant,” Percy says giving you a light peck.
Percy quickly put out the fire that was still burning beside you, before taking your hand and rushing off of the beach and into cabin number three. You both leave grinning and completely absorbed in each other. Completely not noticing the daughter of Aphrodite and Athena hiding behind the bushes.
“Told you all they needed was a little push to figure out what they were missing out on,” Annabeth said.
“You are a genius and about to be the richest person in camp, we’ve been betting on them for the last four years,” Drew says walking back towards the Aphrodite cabin.
“What can I say love is a science, after all, let me know if you need any lessons.”
“Don’t push it, brainiac.”

Please Don’t Kill My Boyfriend | Percy Jackson x Reader
Summary: Hermes is an overprotective father.
Word count: 942
Authors note: I wrote this at 2am and didn't proofread before posting, this is definitely not my best work. Please give me requests.
It was a simple quest all you had to do was kill a group of Echidna that were causing a little too much trouble. A three-day feat at most. When the quest wrapped up on the second day, Percy had the brilliant idea of staying back and relaxing on the way back to camp, instead of sleeping in an alleyway or in the forest with the remaining money we had, we rented two hotel rooms for the night. Grover demanded that he have his own room, stating he could no longer be so close to teenagers in love.
It started out completely innocent light kisses and words of devotion. It quickly turned into much more when the idea of making up for lost time came into your head. Camp was amazing but it definitely was strict on one thing. No campers of the opposite sex could be alone together. Percy and you had already gotten in trouble trying to sneak you into his cabin late at night, for this exact reason. It was one night of fun that would hopefully be enough to last for a whole summer. That was until a flash of blinding light blinded you both and in front of the bed stood your father. Hermes.
“You were tasked with killing a monster, not trying to impregnate my daughter,” Hermes angrily shouted, pulling Percy out of bed by his hair.
“I-I  promise that wasn’t my attention sir,” Percy choked out trying to spare the God's wrath.
“Sure it wasn't, I’ve been alive for thousands of years boy, I have fathered hundreds of children, I am very much aware of what was about to take place in this hotel room,” Hermes growled, dropping Percy onto the floor. Who quickly went to put his pants that were on the floor back on.
“Dad please it wasn’t like that, we’re teenagers what did you expect to happen?” You called out from underneath the bed sheets.
“You can’t go around sleeping with the son of Posideon y/n.” “You just had to choose the one demi-god that danger follows the most, you could have dated a son of Demeter but nooo.”
“Take it up with Aphrodite if you don’t want me to love him, we weren’t doing anything wrong,” You cry out, holding the sheets close to yourself as you pick up your clothes from the floor.
“I am trying to protect you y/n, you’re life is dangerous enough as it is.” Hermes says in a more gentle tone, turning around for you to be able to get dressed.
“Percy is more than capable of protecting me father, he is the strongest demi-god to ever exist, he has saved Olympus multiple times.” You say while putting on your clothes.
“I still don’t like it, why don’t you take the vow of chastity? Hmm, doesn’t that sound nice?”
“Dad please.”
“I would never purposely put your daughter in harms way, I would flood the world to find her, I would cause earthquakes the world has never seen to avenged her, I love her sir.” Percy said coming to stand next to you.
Hermes turns to face you both with a defeated look on his face. “You wouldn’t stop seeing eachother even if I ordered you two huh?”
“Nope.”
“No, sir.”
“If you ever hurt my daughter fish boy I will hunt you down and destroy everything you love.”
“Of course sir, I wouldn’t expect anything else.”
“Now come on get in the car im taking you both back to camp,” Hermes says walking to the hotel door.
You both awkwardly follow behind him; Percy followed you into the backseat of the cab, shutting the door behind him. “ Do you know how to please a woman, fish boy?” Hermes asked climbing into the front seat of the car.
“DAD” You scream out. Percys face is beat red and a stuttering mess.
“I just want to make sure he will make a good life partner for you, humans don’t understand the whole open relationship thing us Gods do,” Hermes says driving out of the hotel parking lot.
“Does he make you finish y/n? Sex life is very important in a relationship.”
“Dad please stop,” You beg.
“Is he a selfish lover? A son of Posideon would be selfish in bed, I don’t know why you didn’t choose Zeus’s son.”
“Please I beg of you stop”
“Yes Zeus is a horrible partner, but he atleast makes you finish,” Hermes continues on, ignoring your pleas.
You suffer through the longest car ride of your life. Both of your faces a permanent color of red by the end of it. Hermes wouldn’t let up for the whole car ride, asking you more and more embarrassing questions. Hermes stop at the border of the camp getting out of the cab to grab your bags out of the trunk.
“Remeber Percy, sex toys are your friend not your enemy,” Hermes says handing the bags off to Percy to carry.
“I-I will, sir,” Percy stutters out.
“And y/n rember to pray to me if he causes you any trouble, I’ll cause him the worst pain he has experienced yet,” Your father says taking you into a hug.
“Thanks Dad, I love you.”
Hermes gets back into the cab, driving off as you and Percy take hands walking back into camp.
“Well that was fun,” I say chuckling.
“It was definitely an experience I would not like to relive again,” Percy says laughing. Taking his first deep breath since your father appeared.
“Hey Percy?”
“Yeah,” He says turning to look at you.
“We forgot Grover at the hotel.”
“Shit.”
