If you ever tagged me to do one of those tag game thingies and I never did it:
1) Thank you, seriously. Those are fun and being included shows that my followers care enough to want to learn more about me.
2) Very sorry about that, it’s extremely likely that I said to myself “Cool! But I’m busy at the moment, I’ll have to do this later today or tomorrow” before proceeding to just straight-up forget, now it’s too far back in my notifications and/or your blog to find again.

Kane and Feels

Official Website Listen on Spotify Created by: Jack Fitzpatrick, Oliver Morris, and Jude Hodgson Hann Aired: 2017-2023 Episodes: 18 (status unknown)
In a city that never sleeps, the veil between waking and dreaming can fray at the edges. If you can't tell what's real anymore, you might need the services of Lucifer Kane and Brutus Feels: Paranormal Investigators. Horrors and mystery await any who listen.
A pair of paranormal investigators in modern London take on various cases, from ghosts to fae to eldritch gods. Season 1 is episodic with the relationship between the two characters the only real narrative throughline, for the most part. Season 2 is its own full arc and intentionally bizarre and harder to follow. Season 3 is back to episodic, much lighter-in-tone stories. It goes to some dark places particularly with suicide coming up a few times, and there is also a lot of drug use.
Season 2 ends the emotional arc, and season 3 is extra fun that also closes at the end. There was talk about a season 4 but unclear if it's still going to happen.
Perfect for paranormal fans who are especially looking for great character dynamics and experimental weirdness.
#s4 is gonna happen it's just a bit out#especially since it was supposed to be s3 but they decided on doing the seasonal thing#as a bit of a. break.#between what s2 was and what s4 will be#(didn't want two heavy seasons back to back)#and would say. listen with transcripts. especially s2#the wonk and confusion is intentional and it's great#but for ppl who aren't used to the wonk/new to ad#i either rec the transcripts or. waiting until they've listened to more shows#(im saying all this with all the love in my heart this is my NUMBER ONE show#as. might be evidant

erik's kcd1 model is like. yeah that's a guy in his 20's as he's supposed to be but every time i see his kcd2 model (as much as i love it) it's like. that's a man ten years older than he actually is. which is like. i could see him looking like that bc of everything if it wasn't for his kcd model
#his kcd2 model i adore it so much his eyes are so big and sad in scenes but especially how he's animated in emotional moments#fucking top tier in that regard paired with a great va. god.#the scenes for these im mostly thinking of is him and istvan parting ways and him being told istvan was killed#like. god.

The Heresies of Radulf Burntwine

Official Website Listen on Spotify Created by: Zachary Golden / Slapdash Studios Aired: 2024--present (ongoing) Episodes: 13 + bonuses
In The year of Enlightentment 976… Radulf Burtwine, former monk turned traveling investigator, dedicates his life to uncovering the profane secrets of a world in which viruses are gods and humanity, merely their plaything.
It has been called “Umberto Eco meets HP Lovecraft.” THORB is a horror fantasy medical mystery podcast with an aesthetic that can only be described as Occult Academia and Laboratory Judaica.
Take care dear stranger, and remember, some secrets are better left unknown.
Takes place in a completely different world from ours, where the culture is medieval, but some of the technological and medical advances are pretty incredible. Radulf Burntwine is a natural philosopher who goes from place to place solving medical mysteries. Each episode he tackles someone with a semi-familiar affliction (zombies, werewolves) but from the point of view of an academic treating symptoms rather than unraveling magic and ritual.
The found audio includes a continuous Clicking noise - if this bothers you, clean audio versions are available on the Patreon, on the free tier I believe.
Perfect for anyone who hears "treating werewolves with steroids" and thinks that sounds damn intriguing, or if you're interested in very dense world-building.

the thing about being nonbinary is that you really do start to forget that other people have such strict walls around what is and isn’t allowed for genders. i thought we all agreed that we made that up. could you climb out of the cave real quick and feel the sunshine for a minute.
