I haven’t been feeling well, and it’s really killing my muse for rping in general, so I’m going to take things slow for a while. Sorry to anyone I owe a reply to or who I had planned to do stuff with. We’ll see how things go from here!

Dio was startled, almost defensive, when the girl rose her hands to place something into his hair. Reaching up, he found it to only be a small plant - hardly a threat of any kind.

“A flower, huh? Don’t see many of those around here. Did you find it on the street? Maybe the flower girl dropped it. Whatever the case, would it not make more sense to place it within your own hair. I am sure it would look far prettier.”

Frisk was an odd one. Dio was never quite sure what to make out of his fellow classmate. No matter how you looked at them, they were opposite in every way. When Dio would actively participate in class discussions, Frisk would be sitting in the back of the room not making a sound. Dio was a well-known perfectionist, but Frisk would do things at their own pace. At core, Dio knew he was a completely selfish person, but watching Frisk made him believe maybe selfless people really do exist.

So when Frisk approached him after school with word of a surprise of some sort, Dio really wasn’t sure what to make out of it. Complete silence - just a tug of the sleeve and a motion to lean down. Could it be a secret they wish to tell?

What he did not expect was for a large blossom to be placed in his hair.

“Wh-what’s the meaning of this?..”

Gifts were not something he was unused to, but something about this one seemed completely different than usual. There were no strings attached, and– Who was he kidding it was a fricken flower.

Dio had been laying under a tree, taking a break from reading a book after a particular chapter resonated with him. It was amazing how calming just staring up at the clouds could be, but they weren’t exactly distracting. After a brief pause, he sat up and looked at the girl.

A sigh escaped him. Who is protecting who again? The child wanted to ask. But rather than fight it, he decided to accept the offer, albeit reluctantly. 

“As a resident of the Joestar manor, it would be shameful to even consider such a thing.” Dio said as they walked hand-in-hand. His words were those of retaliation, but the tone he used to speak them was lethargic, bored. This whole scenario was simply ridiculous. How could she remain so calm?

a pout came to the woman’s lips, she then just grabs dio’s hand. “Don’t be rude, Dio. as a gentleman, you are supposed to make your female companion feel safe, holding hands and or linking arms  – besides, as a lady and mother, i need to hold a child’s hand to guide them.” and she’s taking him along toward a street. watching cars pass left and right. “Oh, Dio. You must not cause any issues.. i know you are capable of doing such..”

He groaned. How dare this girl mock him. Repeatedly. If his goal was to make her smile, he succeeded, but not in the way that he had planned. This was infuriating. Yet...

“Might I take this as a promise you will dance with me again?” He asked, holding her hand ever so slightly more tight. “Let me show you how I improve.”

Ufu… If Dio had meant to fight Erina on her terrain of expertise, he chose the wrong field. It was one field that a lady could pride herself in. While men are supposed to lead them in the dance formations, any missteps were sure to be noticed by the partner. It often was.

There was just that of a small but brief hint of an amused smile before it dropped to a calm expression. “But of course. It was that of a small mistake.” She responded. “You’re still learning, but you lead quite well.” Erina was not one to allow someone to lead her astray. At least, not in the fields of dance. Heck no. Try again never, Dio. You’ll never take her alive. 

At an even greater least, she wasn’t one to be cold no matter who it was she was invited to dance with. It was only with manners that she was doing this. For Dio, she finally did look up at him. But let’s not thank the stars just yet, shall we?

I mentioned this on my other blog already but I like to think that Dio doesn’t actually believe in luck. Only fate after his whole ordeal with Jonathan. When Wang Chan mentioned his birthmark, he really shrugged it off and paid no mind to the fact. It is important for him to feel in control of situations. 

But on the subject of mole reading, I actually came across a thing about it while I was looking up some horoscope stuff, and I think it’s kind of funny it is actually only when the mole is on the inside of the ear that it signifies a long life. Having a mole on the earlobe tends to refer to someone who will have good luck particularly with money, but that money tends to get spent just as easily as it is acquired.

Zion was so ecstatic that Dio caught himself smiling at her fervor. It was a tad ironic how welcoming this pub was compared to his own home. Hiding that smile, he resumed his tutorial.

After he finished going over the pieces, he noticed some people entering through the door. 

“I guess that is all the time we have for today. You didn’t fall asleep did you?” He crossed his arms and leaned over her to see just how much she actually managed to record. He didn’t spare a second in his review.

“Um… I’ll go grab them!” She said, rushing over to the stairs in the back and running up them. Seconds later, she came running back down with a piece of paper and a pen and sat back down. “Okay, I’ll write down all the move sets and all that while you tell them to me.”

Zion was excited to learn, maybe she would practice and get good enough to challenge her favorite friend. She had a big smile on her face and her sea blue eyes were gleaming with excitement as their gaze was fixed on Dio.
