You're right, "mages" are very dangerous, which is why we caution organizations like FIRSTLIGHT against using them as assets. As for why we sponsor such groups, I'm sure you understand that if you approached just about anyone else to fund large-scale "vampire hunting" you'd be laughed out the door.

I do appreciate your humor, I really do. Still, for you see us attempting to preserve this world as "stealing" from you is a deeply unfortunate mindset to have. I have to trust that you have a much less unmutual mindset towards cooperating with your own colleagues, or it may be time to reassess the value of allies like you.
