well, In my universe, Din is Demise's mother, but Din doesn't know that Demise was reincarnated as Ganondorf.

I finished Tears of the Kingdom!

I haven't made much art for the game, but I had to draw something to celebrate my completion of it! Thoughts about it under the cut //

I will start with the positive:

The final boss was EPIC. More like final bosses. It was very long and challenging, and I enjoyed that. The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that I couldn't save in the chasm, so I had to finish the game in one go. So I ended up playing from 8:45 PM to 12 AM sharp. That might have been the longest game session of my life. I never play this long. Because of the difficulty, it was incredibly satisfying to finish! It gave me the same rush that Zelda 2 does xD

The fighting is REALLY fun. I enjoy it way more than exploration, which is odd for me because in any other game I usually try to walk away from the fight for the sake of going to the thing I wanted to explore. That's not the case for TOTK. I can get creative with the way I fight because of the item fusing ability, same goes for the arrows.

Item fusing needs a whole other appreciation point. I really enjoy the weapon fuse ability. Who knew a diamond could make for a powerful sword!? It's WAY more fun building weapons than any of the other ultrahand construction abilities. Honestly, I barely used that function ...... only when required. I want to differentiate the two because item fusing gives me different feels than constructing machines.

This is a good place to transition to the things I didn't enjoy as much.

The inconsistent story made me lose interest in the lore. This is why I didn't make much fanart. The story didn't motivate me to. No speculation or theorizing mattered because the creators themselves clearly didn't care about how they crafted the story. How can I? T-T

The world felt strangely too empty and too full all at once. I'll try my best to explain this... Essentially I feel very overwhelmed by the possibilities of what I can do, but I also already expect what I'll find, so I'm not very excited to explore. I am yet to go to Tarry Town or the surrounding region. I'm sure there will be cool stuff, but I kind of already know what will be there. The caves don't offer any interesting puzzles to solve, nor do the shrines to be honest, so I find myself passing them most of the time and not really caring about the reward. None of it mattered for the final boss anyways. Only the main quest. And you know what the result of that was? I had a hard time motivating myself to play. Sometimes my sessions only last 5 minutes because I get quickly overwhelmed by the tasks to do and also unsatisfied by the rewards. It doesn't bring me joy, so I stop playing. (and open Splatoon haha.)

I'll leave it at that. The ending was really cool so it quells my other annoyances about the game. I'm feeling good about TOTK right now xD PS. Isn't it funny how Ganondorf just gave up on fighting Link and I assume turned into a dragon to EAT Link because that's literally what we saw him try to do 😂 He's like 'guuurrrr!!! I can't kill him with any weapon! I'll try with my teeth. And if that doesn't work, then my stomach acids should"
