Lucy loved the mystery behind the invitation for the Halloween party. The mansion was a big plus, and only added to how intrigued she was. She had pulled out a costume she had wanted to wear for a while, and was on her way fairly quick. She wasn't usually one for the party scene, but had enjoyed a drink or two with friends before she had parted from the group to go explore. Lucy had found herself in the library after a short while of peaking through the unlocked doors, and felt like she had walked into a movie. Looking through the shelves, she jumped slightly when she heard a voice. "Oh! No, don't go. it'd be nice with some company." she said, loosening her grip on the book she was holding, and had held tighter after being startled. "Come look at these! They're really old fairytale books." She gestured for Bella to come closer to her, brushing some dust off the spines of the books.

Bella had decided to attend that Halloween party. She had no clue who send her the invitation and that intrigued her. She was curious to find out more. Picking up her costume was easy. When she got there, the girl walked inside, her eyes looking around the place. It was impressive. After dancing and having a good time with some of her friends, the brunette decided to explore a little. The mansion was huge and she wanted to find out more about it. The woman started opening doors, looking inside, exploring the new places she discovered. After awhile, she decided to pick one last room and then return at the party. She needed a drink or two. The next room she entered was big, it was a library. Bella stepped inside while looking around her. “pretty” she spoke to herself when suddenly noticed a figure in the distance. “Oh, sorry” the girl said. “I didn’t know someone else would be here. I can leave if you want to” she said.

Yes! I do this all the time. I usually watch reddit readings on youtube, though. They’re the perfect mixture of funny and facepalm. Just what I need to calm my nerves after true crime stuff.
So, this just might be me exposing myself but does anyone else watch too many crime dramas and then feels the need to watch something light before bed? I am rewatching Criminal Minds but freaks myself out so much that I had to put on some episodes of the Office before bed to make me feel better.

It’s funny how that works, isn’t it? Especially when it’s something the barista or cashier, or whoever they are yelling at can’t control. I’ve had so many people yell at me for being out of a specific item. The hardest part is keeping calm. Though, I think the worst is yet to come now that the sales are starting.
I don’t know what it is about the holidays that brings the absolute worst in people. I was late to work this morning because I had to stand in line to get coffee for ten minutes while the woman in front of me argued with the barista about them not being able to take an expired coupon. Nothing says tis the season like being an asshole.

I mean, it may have to do with how the store is branded? I’m not so sure, it’s never really been marketed towards people like me so I never really go into it. Maybe if they changed how they marketed things, people would be able to get over it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What do you mean not marketed towards people like you? It’s marketed towards anyone who wears feminine underwear. We don’t do mens, but I can only assume that’s coming soon, too, as it’s a way to make money for the big people.

I never really understood the whole thing when it comes to giggling about that stuff. I think the big issue is that kids are being taught that they shouldn’t show interest or that lingerie is some big thing that should be a secret.
Tumblr media
That’s a good point. I guess the Secret in the brand name isn’t making it any better, but I really wish it wasn’t as taboo as it seems to be to be buying underwear? We all wear it, and what’s the difference from buying it from any other shop?

I mean, isn’t a big part of the branding underwear? I think that’s what everyone knows it for. I’ve not been in one in years but I don’t really remember anything else being sold there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is! But there’s nothing erotic about the shop itself. It’s just the brand name, you know? We have the usual lingerie stuff, and then theres pyjamas, gym clothes, skin care and perfumes, accessories, and then the Pink range has the exact same things, except less... flashy? Some people just treat it like it’s more than just another fashion company, and that it’s super inappropriate.

It’s probably due to the fashion show and the models. They’re very much marketed as sex symbols. Everyone has heard of Victoria’s Secret, but I doubt even half of them have been to the store. I’ve never been inside of one, but when I think of VS, I think of commercials with women in sexy bras and angel wings.
Tumblr media
Yes, I understand the eroticism that comes with the marketing of lingerie and the likes. And I see how it can be seen as erotic in a way, but when you walk into the shop it’s like... just another shop that sells lingerie, pyjamas, etc, and accessories. The amount of people I’ve kicked out and/or given temporary bans due to inappropriate behaviour is a little worrying.

So... there seems to be a thing where people think Victoria’s Secret is something erotic. It’s not. It’s just clothes. As the store manager I get to deal with a lot of giggling teenagers who are actually embarrassed to be there, or older people who are there not to shop, but to... peek. Why are we like this in 2019? I really need to know.
