Check out Britt Lower's performance, she is amazing.

Also, Helena is a bitch, but she is an interesting and complex bitch and I love her for that.

The way her face changes only lasts a second, but you can clearly tell the difference.

And the amazing thing is that Britt Lower is acting bad on purpose because Helena doesn't know how to play her quite right Helly.

She tries to maintain a more meek and gentle look. The real Helly had an amused, but attentive expression. She plays her innie as someone goofy, childish.

Here it lasts even less time, but (in my opinion) it is even more obvious.

Helena is getting tired of failing to convince Irving. She thought everything would be easy, after all "they're not even human". But she has my son Irving in front of her and he doesn't want to back down.

Britt Lower's performance has me in awe. She plays a person who plays (badly) a different version of herself, whose performance she played in the first place.

I can only think about this

the glasgow block being the thing that prevents an innie from waking up even on the severed floor and the glasgow coma scale being a very real very commonly used clinical scale to measure and track one's consciousness following a brain/head injury. them literally keeping an innie unconscious and blocking it from waking up

Milchick lying about the size of the waterfall really encapsulates everything about how Lumon does propaganda. Because yeah, it seems so petty to lie about something like that. But calling the waterfall the largest gives Lumon just a little more weight in its mythology. The big lies may be what the innies remember, but it’s the little ones that tie everything together.

helena was trying everything she could to act the way she presumes her innie does, watching back all this security footage and probably thinking 'well how hard can it be, we still have the same brain'. then to have it told to her that the one thing that fundamentally gave her lie away was the fact that she was cruel and her innie never was. OUCH! GUT PUNCH!! to try everything you can do to be like this better version of you who people love, but to be confronted with the fact that despite trying so so hard, there is simply something crueler, meaner, harder deeply rooted within you. helena did everything she could to garner the favour of the innies, people with an inherent childlike trusting and innocence. and yet. she's finally confronted with that fact that nothing she can ever do will truly make them believe that helena is the person they love. irv would literally MURDER her just to get to the 'better person' within her. irv then SACRIFICES HIS LIFE just so this better, kinder, gentler doppelganger can have a chance to live. can you imagine being helena knowing all this. it would drive me INSAAAANE

we all laugh but the reason why milkshake calls that thing the tallest waterfall in the world, is so that none of them get too moved by it and want to see more. the whole episode, the whole reason they are outside is so that the management can say "there is nothing else to see, no waterfall more beautiful or taller than this, you've been outside once and it was cold and it sucked and you saw the coolest thing there is to see and that's it. why would you not be happy with your work life now?"
