Random thought: I was thinking of the "whole Jupiter was a failed star thing" and now I can't help but compare that to Jimmy. Like Grian is the Sun, every blazing and burning, able to nuture and destroy just as easily, then Jimmy is Jupiter, he should've been able to do those things too, to be a star too, but instead he's a failure, a giant that no one really pays any attention to, why would they when the Sun is right there? I've see people say that Joel is Jupiter but I like your idea of him being a black hole more so Jimmy's Jupiter now and I'm having thoughts about it. Anyways, I hope you see my vision and that this thought haunts you the way it haunts me.

I completely forgot about that trend, but I used to love it for the symbolism. I looked it up and for the Sun it’s “No matter how bright the Sun shines, it’s still alone” which I think is perfect for Grian :)

Also, lemme add more onto Jupiter Jimmy to make it all the more tragic. To say Jupiter failed would be to assume it was ever possible. Jupiter could've never been a star, the Sun took the recourses and didn't leave much in its wake. Which works perfectly with Grian and Jimmy being brothers- Grian, the overachieving, often self-serving and selfish older brother who put his own success in front of everyone and everything else. Jupiter could have been a star like the Sun as it has the same ingredients as one. Jimmy can never step out of Grian’s shadow or live up to what he has achieved even though the potential is there. This also goes well with how, realistically speaking, Jimmy won’t win

Little update on the Flightless birds animation thing, 4 seconds is complete out of 40 and a couple more frames are sketched out 🥀

I decided to take a bit of a different approach than I did with previous edits, I’m working on sections instead of drawing the whole thing from start to finish, it’s less intimidating and more manageable that way

I’ll do a warmup drawing then get back to working on it ✌🏻
