My job as designer was to capture its energy, as well as tell the story that John Logan wrote in his script. the thing you need to know about me is that i am very much a casual watcher of television. most shows i will watch while doing other things and to be honest i don’t think very critically about them. and for the rare show that DOES make me insane i don’t have any object permanence. for example the last two episodes of stranger things 4 were bad and didn’t know what to do with their own characters but i was only thinking about that as i was actively watching. the ending of killing eve was genuinely offensive but i was over it in like a day. when the last season of game of thrones was airing i literally blocked off mondays in my schedule because i knew i would be sitting on twitter/tumblr/random entertainment news sources for at minimum six hours and wouldn’t have time to be productive and now i see news of a jon snow series and feel nothing. succession is probably my favorite show that’s on right now but because it’s between seasons i haven’t thought about it unprompted in months. all this to say the cw supernatural is the only piece of media that stays in my head always. i think about it every single day. even when i don’t log on. even if it’s just in passing. a lot of the time i don’t even feel overwhelmed by it anymore like i did when it was airing but i still think about it. anyway the point of this long rambling post is. WHAT is it about that show
