He watched her from across the ballroom. Black dress, golden hair, nervous deep blue eyes darting around. In a way, Cassius found her unremarkable. Ioana Caldwell, she had little to nothing to her name. Humble family, just smart enough to  get a job at the municipal morgue. She is pretty, which is going to make this easier. He ignores the attempts to grab his attention, making a straight line to her. She blushes under his stare, wearing nothin but fake pearl earrings and black velvet around her neck. He wants to see her shine, to see if  little Ioana Caldwell can bloom under a careful hand. A decision is made. 

 She never had the chance to say "no".

Sorry I’ve been inactive the last few months.Things have been kinda tough for me lately. But I went back through my old posts and found a lot of sweet comments I never saw. Thank you all so much for your kind words. I’ve moved multiple times this year out of necessity. I feel run down. I know things will get better soon, but it can be hard. I’ve been working full time again to try to pay off my debt faster. But that leaves me with less time to make art. So cheers to 2019, I hope that together we can all grow little by little next year.
