Don’t let them see you. Don’t let them notice you. Don’t ever step foot in Underhill.
With a deathbed promise to her mother and a curse that exiles her from the realms, Alannah has no intention of ever leaving the fringe. She is content to live her life quietly and unseen by those in the forest. Until she saves a human from a harrowing death at the hands of a Fae prince. Elliot thanks her by upending her life, getting her cat to talk, and convincing her that she isn’t as content as she thought. When he finds a possible solution to her curse, the three of them brave the realm of Underhill to find the queen that placed the curse on Alannah’s family. Instead of removing the curse, the queen gives Alannah an impossible quest. To find a person of Fae and Witch blood.
Alannah’s journey through Underhill is rife with attempted assassinations, new and unexpected allies, and experiences and emotions that Alannah doesn’t understand. Underhill is nothing like she imagined. It is strange. It is wonderful. It is full of old and deadly secrets. To survive her journey, she must learn how to rely on others. And Alannah learns that being connected is so much better than being alone. If she succeeds, she’ll never have to be alone. But is she ready for the truth and its consequences?

Never go into Witches End. There is nothing but death and grief in that soil and everything beyond it is not for us.
Makenna has never belonged. As a fire witch born in a village of healer and blamed for every fire-related incident even if she wasn't at fault, she has always lived on the outside looking in. When Makenna's sister, Niamh, is horribly burned during a ritual, Makenna is chased into the lifeless woods of Witches End. But the woods are not empty. A plea turns into a bargain and Makenna pledges her nights to a shapeshifter named Fen. But Fen has many secrets and Makenna is plunged into the mystery of the Morrigan and the spell performed hundreds of years ago to seal away a terrible foe. All secrets have a price and Makenna just might pay with her life.

Sometimes fiction doesn’t have a moral to the story. Sometimes fiction points at something and goes “Ever thought about THAT???” And you look at what it’s pointing at for a bit.

I talk myself out of posting nonsense ramblings about my work all the time because I think no one gives a shit, butt fuck it, 👁 give a shit (sorry if this is choppy, I originally wrote it on Twitter and don't feel like rewriting it).
I've been struggling with the UNTETHERED draft (pretty obvious I guess since I pushed release until fall) and I finally had a revelation. Not only is it the third in the series and the penultimate book in the saga, but it's also where I give Underhill longevity. When I started drafting UNBOUND, I mistakenly thought this saga would be it. Idk why, I'm forever playing in sandboxes and I plan on having several. But while working on UNCOVERED, I started having ✨️thoughts✨️. What does the future look like? Not just for my characters (yes, they will pop up here and there) but for Underhill. What am I going for? What kind of stories am I gonna tell in this world? UNTETHERED is where I get to hint at the kinds of stories I'm going to tell and also the long-term vibes of this world. I always knew Underhill was a dark fantasy setting, but I finally found the kind of inspiration I'm shooting for when crafting stories. I intend to have a fantasy world that feels more DND, BG3, and DA inspired but Underhill is for the Bloodborne/Dark Souls/Elden Ring gorlies. I can't wait to specifically dig into the Bloodborne vibes for UNTETHERED.

My newest book, Unholy with Eyes like Wolves, a sapphic gothic horror romance with vampires (Carmilla/FMC/Erzsébet Báthory) is coming out on April 16th!
You can pre-order the e-book here.
***
“Indulgent, depraved, and sanguine, UNHOLY WITH EYES LIKE WOLVES is a gory fugue that will have readers cheering for its queer women no matter the wrongs they commit in pursuit of survival and salvation.” – Ladz, author of THE FEALTY OF MONSTERS
"Sumptuous and intoxicating as a black rose, UNHOLY WITH EYES LIKE WOLVES unfurls slowly to reveal the intricate layers of its themes, from forbidden sapphic desire to the religious subjugation of women. A must-read for those who yearn to become the monster and seek liberation through transgression." – Camilla Andrew, author of THE SANGUINE SORCERESS
***
Noémie, a dishonored and widowed noblewoman in early 17th century Hungary, finds herself in an unenviable position: After grievous trauma and loss, her last chance to regain her honor comes when she must serve as Lady Erzsébet Báthory’s handmaiden. Báthory is stoic and imperious, and as Noémie struggles to acclimate and accept her present and future, she begins to have dreams about a mysterious woman. Worse, there are stories of disappearance and deaths in the castle, and Noémie might be next.
A sapphic historical horror romance with vampires and based on CARMILLA. Perfect for fans of A DOWRY OF BLOOD.

I want to write a book called “your character dies in the woods” that details all the pitfalls and dangers of being out on the road & in the wild for people without outdoors/wilderness experience bc I cannot keep reading narratives brush over life threatening conditions like nothing is happening.
I just read a book by one of my favorite authors whose plots are essentially airtight, but the MC was walking on a country road on a cold winter night and she was knocked down and fell into a drainage ditch covered in ice, broke through and got covered in icy mud and water.
Then she had a “miserable” 3 more miles to walk to the inn.
Babes she would not MAKE it to that inn.
