i have the opposite of that “everyone is an npc” mentality people have embraced where i’m instead like. the person next to me in line has someone they can’t wait to go home to, the person picking up their mail has felt devastation before, everyone in this grocery store is doing their sunday shopping, maybe the person that just honked at me is having the worst day of their life, my neighbor has doctors appointments and favorite foods and a song they can’t stand to hear anymore… you are all fully realized complex people and that is overwhelming me on a spiritual level…

Some preliminary thoughts on lunarpunk v solarpunk:
So this is how I define Lunar Punk v Solar Punk from my exposure to the genres so far:
Colors:
L: Cooler tones: Blues, Purples, Greens, Silvers.
S: Natural tones with Bright Greens and Cerulean Blues: Creams, Yellows, Browns, Gold/Brass etc.
Clothing:
L: Draping fabric, incorporation of metal accents, with a focus on comfort and tactile richness. Sensual. Often outer garment is transparent or semi transparent, to give illusion of depth.
S: Natural and Printed fabrics, Simple styles with no hard lines. Nature motifs.
Philosophy:
S: Optimism, Sustainability, Solar Energy, Self-Sufficiency, Technological Marriage to Nature.
L: Optimism, Sustainability, Space and Ocean Exploration, Harmony, Perpetual Curiosity, Openness to New Ideas, Cultural and Social Marriage to Nature.
Recurring Themes:
S: Sun, Sunflowers, Copper, Wheat, Feathers, Occasional Art Deco or Boho throwbacks, Bees, Honeycomb, Leaves, Moths, Flowers, Wings, Butterflies, Trees, Ferns, Gears.
L: Moon, Ocean, Dragonflies, Art Nouveau throwbacks, Stars, Circuitry within Constellations, Saturn, Waterfalls, Papyrus, Beatles, Fish, Lanterns.
#this was my first post#reblogging for new followers to the genre#we are both thankful for the beauty of the present and working toward a better future#if you create art to further add to this culture and build its influence#please tag me!#I want to support you!#lunarpunk#solarpunk#themes

I went to Silver Falls last week.
So pretty, so quiet. I love it here.

Remember, even if it's not turned on, plugged in devices and appliances use electricity.
Some examples are Lamps, Fans, Heaters and Chargers.
Unplug what you're not using. Save some energy and money.

yeah I have an inner child but I think holding her other hand is an inner grandmother and she wants me to get strong enough to grate cheese without changing arms and to make my environment even more of a sanctuary and to practice better patience w and compassion for myself and not veiling my inscrutability but instead wearing it like perfume and to hightail it away from the modern trivialities of life whenever I can, whenever I feel them clinging too close to this perceptive skin
