I inadvertently move closer; A planet that can't help but orbit around This particular lovely star, My feet far from the ground.

I need something to hold onto, Something to break my fall; Your gravitational pull is drawing me in, I hardly realized when it began at all.

I'm unraveling at the speed of stars falling, My neat wings are getting tattered As I plummet down the heavens, I fear that I end up shattered.

Your gilded gaze is resplendent, Aureate and scintillating; One of God's gentler creatures, My beloved, you are captivating.

I hurt myself not to feel hollow, If I left, would you follow Me to the far off stars, Would you let them mend your scars?

I miss especially the stars in your eyes, Those in the colour of stormy skies; If I could only make them shine again, Outline their edges with your fountain pen…

I'll love you just like the stars love the sky, I'll keep loving you until they all die; My beloved, angelic bookseller, My feelings for you are stellar.

I give you a fountain pen To be graced by your long, deft fingers, So I can watch and admire when The black ink stains the paper and lingers.

Its tip is not any sharper than your wit As you write down a memory we once shared; We walked through Eden, gilded and sunlit, In the garden my heart laid bare.

The sonorous beat of my heart, So pervasive it broke my reverie Of how neatly you're taking me apart, Almost feels like a treachery.

I should be aware of the danger As you slowly orbit closer to me, I've never experienced anything stranger, Yet I give myself to you willingly.

It's a trial for my self-preservation When you lean in with your soft, red lips, My starry eyes widen in revelation; You veil me in darkness like a lunar eclipse.

As we meander under the heavens, The sky is bleeding from coral to maroon, Giving way to the lucid moon, Hand in hand we walk like heathens, And you tug to pull me near.

Your amber eyes flicker, reflecting the sunset, The voice before me is a gentle rasp: “I want to spend eternity in your grasp,” You whisper and tuck my platinum ringlet Right behind my undeserving ear.

Is it possible to fall upwards? I wonder when you kiss me breathless, And I pull you in, carefree and reckless, Utterly deprived of words, I love you ruinously, my dear.

As your fingernails explore and graze The curves and lines of my upper arm, I find myself in a heady haze That's elicited in me by your charm.

As I feel your sultry breath against my ear, The dulcet susurration of your voice, All I want is to clutch you near, And everything else becomes a white noise.

Your sense of humour is downright whimsical; I thrive in your company when we banter, Your eyes burn bright when you're cynical, I'm like a flower in your planter.

My petals unfurl under your touch, My roots swallow each and every drop, Nevermind if you water them too much; They'll stay devoted to you on your tabletop.

All I ever wanted is slipping further away with each passing second, Although you're right here, at reach, at my fingertips, I want to bask in the sun of you after years of total eclipse; That thought is my own personal Armageddon.

I desire to have your name engraved into my skin, To have the picture of you burned in my soul, But there are circumstances that I can't control; Giving into my longings would be a sin…

The distance between us is short but still always too far; Millennia of suppressed love that we have to keep in secret. Do I have to make a wish upon a shooting star To be able to give love and keep it?
