edelgard canonically have a base growth of 60% in her charisma stat (which is the highest unless u include rhea and sothis lmao) so yeah. She's good with people. She's charismatic. But also most of her charm behind closed doors when she's not an emperor is the fact that she's kind of ... a disaster. Her jokes don't always land, she just SAYS stuff so nonchalantly sometimes, she's awkward, she tries to understand people. Her public persona has the expected qualities of a charismatic leader but her real authentic rizz is the autistic rizz

Yet, in spite her yearning for a few meager moments to simply exist in the nature she loves so much, it displeases her to see the presence of another upon the she had silently claimed for herself and her professor. When Persephone glares, Edelgard simply stares in kind : cool and austere.

happy sunday! here are some sexy edelgard headcanons that i have.

edelgard is a service top. due to her trauma she doesn't like to be subdued or restrained and if she does allow a partner to do so, it's with a tremendous amount of trust. she doesn't like to lose control and being on the bottom makes her feel like she doesn't have control (even though, arguably, a lot of times the bottoms are the ones who dictate how things go)

she loves to praise! er... well, she also likes to receive praise but she'll be much more bashful when she receives them. but she's more than happy to praise, to encourage etc etc. enthusiastic consent is a must on her end.

she's possessive but she's also very gentle. she will think about leaving hickeys, bruises, scratch skin until it bleeds etc etc but she won't. instead, she uses words that denote possession (think my love, my consort, my empress, etc etc)

while she doesn't fall under the 'touch me not' category, touching her scars (which are literally everywhere) will cause her to panic internally unless you make it clear that you want to touch her. shes not someone who likes people paying attention to her scar and in fact, often times giving them attention will kill any sexy mood she has to begin with.

if we consider the origins of tieflings (tldr; they were humans who made deals with asmodeus and got transformed by him / other "planetouched" individuals during the spell plague) then like, we can assume something similar like TWSITD = devils with close affiliations to asmodeus / the like ... and during the insurrection of the seven, emperor ionius ix was pretty much backed into the corner and coerced into a warlock pact. however, that sect of devils started experimenting on his children ( ala what they did in canon ) and then edelgard's the only surviving child but now with horns, fiendish powers, etc etc

it'd be like if her hegemon!edelgard form had external manifestations on her body. it's kinda big brain ngl

I think it's fucking iconic that edelgard is so effortlessly charismatic tbh but the minute it's a slightly more personal relationship... she's a fucking disaster. She can't flirt for shit. She's awkward. She's flustered. I love the duality of that
