Summary: After a few months of starting your literature course you seem to find it harder with time to ignore your professor, little did you know you were driving him crazy as well.

Of course only you’d be in this damn predicament, you had rushed in the morning running all over the place and left but you forgot something that was pretty damn important

Your building and house keys, now you were sitting on the steps of the building waiting to see if for some reason one of your neighbors would have the idea to go in or out but to no avail

It was pretty late and most of your neighbors were adults who had a pretty tight schedule and would most likely be in bed by this time, but some headlights caught your attention, you knew that car

“Que haces?” Esteban was now standing in front of you after stopping his car and walking over to you, it was embarrassing, “olvide mis llaves” you said, embarrassment written all over your face and he sighed a soft small smile appearing on his face “aye nena, ven vamos” he was about to walk to his car but stopped in his tracks when he noticed you weren’t following

“A donde?” You asked a bit unsure “a mi casa nena para que puedes dormir” he said as if it wasn’t already obvious and you shook your head “no no la verdad no te quiero molestar” you said and he tilted his head “bueno si te hace sentir más cómoda te agarró un cuarto en un hotel o algo” he said and you once more shook your head “no la verdad ya no te quiero molestar o hacer que gastas dinero en mi” you said and he gave you a look of slight disapproval “cuantas veces te tengo que decir que para mi no eres molestia ni un gasto de dinero” he said crouching in front of you to be face to face

You looked at his face and you felt slightly unsure but seeing how it looked like he genuinely wanted to help you, how he looked worried you couldn’t just leave him like that and so you nodded “bueno esta bien, pero seguro que no te molesto?” You asked and he shook his head a satisfied smile on his lips “vamos amor” he stood up his hand held out for you which you took, he took your bag from you his hand placed on the small of your back as he led you to the car

He opened the door for you as always and made sure you were secure inside the car before closing the door, you had relaxed your body went from uncomfortable and cold to the complete opposite, he turned on the heater and closed the windows, and he placed his hand on your knee sliding up to your thigh his hand going back and forth in a warming and comforting manner but you couldn’t help but feel warm with the contact.

The drive to his place was so calming that you almost fell asleep, “llegamos amor” his voice snapped you back to reality and you watched as he walked around the car to open your door for you, you looked up at the taller and bigger building where he lived, “vente amor, esta demasiado frío para ti” he said waiting at the entrance door with the door wide open, you had entered and followed him into the elevator, you two alone in there was a normal feeling considering how close you both had gotten these past few weeks, however you considered it bold when you rested your head on his shoulder and you got a good reaction to it, he pressed a kiss to the top of your head his lips stayed on you until the ding and elevator doors opened

He extended his hand for yours before he continued to walk and you put your hand in his, he once again led the way to his apartment door, he let go of your hand for a moment to unlock the door and he waited for you to enter first, his home was very cozy and homey looking the smell that hit was more of a cinnamon like smell and the air freshener you spotted and some candles he owned were what confirmed that, the sounds of a meow however caught your attention and you looked over where Esteban held a black fluffy cat who seemed at peace in his arms making you smile as a soft chuckle escaped your lips

“Es nena or nene?” You asked walking closer and he looked adoringly at the cat “nena, Ella se llama luna o lunita” he scratched the cat as she purred “puedo?” You asked not wanting to pet the cat without his permission and he nodded “claro” you fingers went to comfortably scratch behind her ears as she purred leaning into your touch

“Es una hermosa gatita” you smiled looking down at the cat as Esteban’s eyes admired you, you were so admirable and beautiful he couldn’t divert his eyes anywhere else, “debes de estar cansada, ven amor” he had led you to where you believed his room was and it was neat and nice looking his bed looked comfortable but you didn’t know what exactly the sleeping arrangements were

He looked through his closet pulling out a t-shirt and handing it to you, “para que puedes dormir cómoda, ahí esta el baño para que te puedes cambiar” he pointed to the door right in his room and you nodded a small thank you escaping your lips before you walked in, you sighed locking the door and sliding off your clothes and sliding on the oversized shirt which smelled exactly like him

You folded your own clothes and opened the door, he looked at you a smile he couldn’t hide appeared on your lips as you grinned “cómoda?” He asked and you nodded placing your clothes down on the dresser “te puedes dormir aquí y yo me acuesto en la sofá” you felt bad “no yo puedo dormir en la sofá no te preocupes” you protested but he gave you a look “no amor, esta muy frío y aquí esta más calientito y cómodo” you didn’t approve of the fact that you would take up his bed

You felt bad, “no” you said sternly but he thought it was cute “entonces qué hacemos nena?” He had a playful smirk on his lips and you thought for a moment “duérmete aquí y yo en la sofá” you said but he wasn’t having it either so you came up with another solution“y si los dos dormimos en la cama? Ponemos algo para separarnos? Eso es si quieres” you said and your cheeks turned a dusty pink “Sabes, ese idea me gusta más que las otras” you smiled rolling your eyes

“Bueno ven porque tengo sueño” you said and he followed to adjust some pillows in the bed and the blankets so you both could lay comfortably, you both laid down and he was going to put a pillow boarder “si no quieres no tenemos que poner la almohada” you said and he had never thrown something to the end of the bed quicker, you adjusted yourself to turn your back to him and closed your eyes and you were out

Throughout the night you slight tossed and turned but it didn’t bother Esteban, he could sleep through anything really. The next day you woke up to a warm little figure beside you, you lazily smiled seeing Lunita beside you curled up in a comfortable position, but looking over your shoulder you feel a chest pressed against your back and your eyes widened

Esteban looked too comfortable still asleep and you didn’t want to move or wake him, you sighed quietly and you closed your eyes again not really wanting to wake him up, “ya se que estás despierta” he mumbled with a rasp voice and you froze “buenos dias” you slightly turned back to see his eyes lazily opened “como dormiste?” He asked and you smiled “bien cómoda, creo que voy a empezar a dormir más aquí” you said and he chuckled “eso me gustaría” you felt your cheeks grow warm “veo qué lunita se hizo cómoda también” he said seeing the cat curls up at your side making you chuckle

“Quieres comer algo?” He asked and you sat up tilting your head “si, un poco” he stretched making you smile before he stood up “bueno vamos nena” you sighed getting up from the bed and following him, you had seen him move to set up his coffee maker and then he opened the fridge while you had enough confidence to sit on his kitchen counter and in a few seconds it began to smell like fresh coffee “sabes que, te voy hacer el avena especial de Esteban” he said with a playful smile and you giggled rolling your eyes “bueno aver como sabe” you sighed

He gave you a mug with coffee and you smiled thanking him blowing on the hot liquid before taking a sip, he cooked the oatmeal adding a splash of milk and some cinnamon, you watched him work on it while sipping on your coffee and Lunita jumped up on the counter curling into your crossed legs purring as you petted her fur “hermosas las dos” he said making you grow warm and pink with a smile on your lips

“Listo” he set the oatmeal with various fruits next to you and you picked up the bowl smiling as you took a spoonful into your mouth and he awaited your reaction or thoughts on the oatmeal he made “esto es el mejor avena que había probado en la vida” you said with a smile on your lips as you took another bite and he smiled proudly “y eso ya lo sabia” he said and you rolled your eyes chuckling at his words

After breakfast you realized maybe it was time to go home, you needed to do some things and hopefully find some people still leaving the building so you could finally enter to your apartment building so Esteban offered to take you home and you took it “lista?” He asked, you stayed in the comfort of the clothing he gave you to sleep in and you had your neatly folded clothes in your arms and your bag over your shoulder “si, lista” you confirmed and you bent over giving Lunita a couple head and behind the ear scratches before leaving the apartment following after Esteban, he walked you both out of the apartment building and like always he opened the car door for you and closing it for you

The drive was calm and the cars passing you and people walking amongst the streets were the sounds filling your ears, finally pulling up to the front of your apartment building he walked around the car opening your door, you stood in front of him and his arms wrapped around you comfortingly as he rested his chin at the top of your head, you realized any of your other professors or classmates may see you both but you didn’t really care at the moment or ever really

“Te veo, cuídate” he said and you looked up at him nodding “si, si gracias” you smiled and he nodded a small kiss at the top of your head “bueno amor dale entra” he leaned against his car waiting for you to enter and perfect timing a man was exiting the building leaving you time to enter, he sighed a small smile on his lips as he watched you go before walking back to the drivers seat of his car, you entered your apartment and put your stuff down seeing your keys on the counter making you chuckle dryly “hijo de puta” you shook your head grabbing a hold of the keys, maybe there was a reason you left them.

It had been a few weeks since you and Esteban had basically spent the whole day together and since then you both were more close, that should be the way to describe it, he would bring you breakfast in the mornings and you would bring him coffee and a treat, he would send you emails to make sure you were okay with the lessons and that you weren’t stressed in any way

He would also make sure you were okay at work offering to bring you lunch on your breaks which you accepted gratefully since you were tired of the small breads from the coffee shop, your relationship had progressed from the beginning and it made you happy.

“Buenos Dias” you smiled putting the coffee cup down on his desk before taking a sip of your own “Buenos dias amor” amor, a new nickname that you adored “que haces?” You asked leaning on the edge of his desk, “nomas unos papeles” he sighed then he gave you a plastic bag, breakfast “es un burrito con huevo, tocino, y queso” he said as he flipped through some of the papers and you hummed peeling down half of the foil and taking a bite

“Y esto?” You pulled up a yellow folder and he carefully took it from your hands throwing it in a drawer “nada amor nada importante” he said a small smile on his lips and you gave him a pointed look “mentiroso” you mumbled taking a bite of the burrito, he laughed “yo mentiroso?” He asked amused making you nod as you sipped the coffee

He pinched your thigh playfully making you giggle as you swatted his hand away taking another bite of your breakfast “comiste bien a noche?” He asked and you nodded as you couldn’t answer with your mouth full and he looked at you in awe “que?” You asked a small embarrassed smile on your lips “te ves tan tierna amor” he said making you roll your eyes playfully

“Bueno ya me voy a senatar” you stood up and crumbled the foil throwing it out and taking your coffee with you “bueno nena” he watched as you went to take your usual seat.

After class you had gotten your stuff waiting for most of the class to clear out, walking up to Esteban you carefully grabbed his arm “voy al trabajo” you let him know and he nodded “te llevo comida” he said and you nodded “bueno” you smiled leaving and making your way to the bus to get to work

Once clocked in there was no such thing as a break or slowing down, you were at the register or serving people their orders.

“Oye nena, el novio” Nereyda your coworker said as she stood at the doorway to the break room “no es mi novio” you mumbled walking past her before making your way around the counter “Hola” you smiled standing in front of him “hola amor” he held a plastic bag with food in it “ven vamos” you lead him to the back where the break room was, your boss was allowing you to do this since you were the only one who ran the coffee shop the right way

Therefor you were allowed this certain special treatment.

“Cansada?” He saw how your eyes were droopy and you chewed slowly as if you were uninterested in the food “un poco” you took another bite of your food “aye pobrecita la niña” he teased as you smiled shaking your head “y a que hora sales?” He asked “en tres horas” you said taking another bite of food

“Te llevo a casa” he didn’t ask he just told you and you learned that whatever he says goes because he is very insistent "Y como esta you gatita?" you asked about the cat he had told you about

the little kitten he adored and you couldn't help but smile every time he mentioned her "Esta bien, en casa dormida como siempre" he smiled at the thought "Yo la quiero conocer" you said and he smiled "Pronto la vas a conocer, te va amar" he assured you making you smile as you sighed “aye no sabes el sueno que tengo” you sighed

“Y no puedes salir temprano?” He asked you shook your head “luego no me pagan bien” you said and he sighed his fingers making their way through your hair in a soothing way making you close your eyes for a moment “bueno cuando te recojo puedes dormir en el carro” he said and you nodded eyes still closed

But it did not last since your phone let out a loud alarm making you jump slightly and you realized your lunch was pretty much over “ya tengo que regresar” you groaned and he frowned a little “esta bien amor, te recojo entonces” you nodded and he helped you pick up

After he left you were back to work, it seemed like time went slow when you worked, you weren’t complaining too much since it was more pay but still it was draining nonetheless

Once your long shift was actually over you had picked up and tidied up the shop before pulling off your apron and hanging it up, you grabbed your stuff and the small paper bag which held a chocolate croissant that you couldn’t bare to throw away and locked up

Esteban was already in front of the shop waiting and he hopped out of the car ready to open the door for you which you thanked him for with a smile, a rule he had given you which was never to open your own door

He got back in and the car was so warm and the seat was comfortable for someone who was up on their feet for 9 hours “quieres algo?” He asked and you shook your head “no gracias, quiero ir a casa” you opened the bag ripping a piece of the croissant, after having a bite you ripped off another piece holding it in front of Esteban’s lips as he opened his mouth allowing you to pop it in

“Esta bueno?” You asked he nodded “muy bueno” he confirmed. The drive home wasn’t too far so you both didn’t always get much time together but some time was still treasured time. Esteban got off the car once more opening the door for you, you sighed standing in front of him, pretty close too

“Gracias por traier me a casa” you smiled and he looked at you in an admiring way a smile on his lips as he sighed “de nada amor, recuerda lo que sea para mi alumna favorita” you chuckled your cheeks tinting red and you looked down at your shoes “mírame” he said in almost a slight demanding yet calm and soft tone, you looked up but not without feeling that tingling warmth in your belly

“Cuídate amor, por favor y duerme bien, vale?” You could not form words right away so you nodded “vale” you finally let out softly and he nodded his arms wrapped around you and you didn’t expect it, but you took it and let your arms wrap around his torso and what you both didn’t realize was that you inhaled one another’s scent, he smelled of cologne, mint gum, and cigarettes and you smelled like the comforting smell of coffee and your perfume

Finally you both pulled away after a moment and his fingers brushed the loose strands of hair away from your face, “bueno amor, ve y descansa te veo mañana” you nodded “buenas noches” you said barley above a whisper before you began to walk away and make your way inside the building, you saw him get into his car once he saw you were inside and you got into the elevator your heart pounding

You both never were that physically close and it was the best feeling ever but it was also the most nerve wrecking feeling as well, you set your things down once you entered your apartment and got to thinking about it all, your head was racing and your heart was still beating fast. Meanwhile Esteban was as happy as can be, he’s sure he can make you his, he knows it.
