"no problem." gregory smiled after looking at the drawing. it was reminiscent of the ones on the walls of his classroom back in philadelphia. "you do social work?" he asked before adding, "oh, sorry if there's a slight footprint on it. i didn't know how else to save it from flying away."

"Oh thanks, I appreciate you rescuing that," Major said, taking the drawing with an appreciative smile, "That's a drawing by one of my kids. Well, not mine. A child I worked with. His foster parents sent it to me," his face was soft as he looked at the drawing and then put it carefully in his bag, "Anyway, thanks."

"woah." gregory watched the boy fell before rushing over to him. "that looked... bad." he winced before kneeling down to take a closer look. while he had been here for quite a while, he didn't know where the hospital was. "i'm sure you'll be fine." an athlete, he presumes. "i have no idea where the hospital is but i'll call an ambulance so you can get that checked out." he reached out to help him up, "let's try to get you up, yeah?"

"Oh no, no, no, no." Yuuri groaned, shaking his head. Did he really just break his ankle? He wasn't sure what he was going to do with himself if he couldn't figure skate for a few months, let alone never again. "can you help me to the hospital or call an ambulance? i can't let this go for too long, it will mess up my life...my job...my everything!"

"hey, coffee is coffee." after finding himself in washington, gregory has been more careful about splurging. he held a simple americano in his hand, no sugar or cream. "oh, good." a quiet sigh of relief fell from his lips, "i wouldn't want you to think a total stranger was telling you how to live your life." he smiled softly. "i'm gregory, by the way."

"You're probably right," she agreed, having heard from others just how expensive this was but that made it all the more fun for her - to have a treat every now and then. "You didn't, I'm capable of listening to other opinions and still having one myself," she reassured him

"you think so? i think their coffee is extremely overpriced." it wasn't a surprise that gregory didn't get the starbucks hype. as a matter of fact, he didn't understand the hype about many things. not because he wanted to be different than anyone else, nope, it came from being deprived off joy since childhood. "sorry. i don't mean to try and change your mind but i do think you can get something you'll enjoy just as much for half the price somewhere else."

"So this is what Starbucks is," she said as she finished her drink, nodding in approval. "I think this is amazing. I see why they're so popular," she beamed. She knew that this was possibly temporary but she wanted to enjoy every moment she had with this second chance, even if it was just a drink

— initially, gregory wanted to pursue his dream job as principal after coming to terms that he wasn't leaving dc anytime soon but felt a bit of impostor syndrome and decided to go for the same job he had in philly. — he believes fruit should not be hot. — the pickiest eater your will ever meet. he doesn't like pizza. — competitive at board games but hates settlers of catan.
