i originally started with the idea of the tower of babel but i got a little (a lot) sidetracked

no animation today sorry

made this in magma!! it was fun using it again after so long. looking back at sanemi's, i probably should have rendered it more but it's probably best i didn't because it would make it really hard to animate 🤷‍♂️

anyhoo. very satisfied with this one. it was kind of hard trying to figure out how to draw burns (legs), and towards the end i was struggling to add more details so i just added the flowers on the shoulder and ribcage

small bit of lore - if you've seen the other one, these two originate from the same person (who i call "the original vessel"). after [backstory], they became obsessed with creating life, but they were horribly isolated, so they cut off pieces of themself, grew them, and essentially made clones. think of dottore's segments. they all come from the same person, have wills and personalities of their own, but an allegiance to the leader. as the original vessel started to get weaker, a lot of clones decided to live their own lives. two stay behind (i've thought up a design but haven't drawn yet) to protect the original vessel

these two stick together because of their ambitions, and form their own mansion-lab-thing in the sky called "the artificial darlinghouse".

so when drawing her half, i tried to make them mirror each other. ish.

humanly eye(s) - closed / open

only one facial eye open

for both, left, "logical" side of head (speech and language) impaired (nail, tower)

calm / more dynamic pose (personality)

neck exposed / constricted

damaged / missing parts of body are opposites (they compensate for each other) eg. arms and legs, top and bottom torso, etc.

black claws, supporting or destroying?

other injuries - lacerations vs bruises and burns

and so on and so forth. i'm still deciding on their personalities and stuff, but they're kinda two sides of the same coin
