Okay so now that I know what you think of fount of knowledge is it possible if you can do an analysis on elder faerie along with faerie race and silver kingdom as a whole? Barely anyone talks about him and it's really upsetting to me and I love him so much! If you don't want to do that that's okay but if you do do it take as much time as you need and I do not care how long it is the longer the better! (And if you're wondering why I keep asking you all these questions it's to help me for a crk au that I'm currently working on!) please and thank you and have a good day/night!

Look, no offense to all the Elder Faerie fans out there, but you're working with crumbs. It feels like the Silver Kingdom was a pretty late-stage addition, not as immediately planned as the other four's respective kingdoms; something reflected in the density of their ingame decor options. Now, two whole story episodes should have been enough to explore this new area of the world and its history plenty, right?

Nope. Blame him.

We only get the first episode to dwell on the Silver Kingdom on its own, and half of it is spent getting there, pretty much, since it's also an establishing chapter for Beast Yeast as a whole. And then what happens at the very end of it? Shadow Milk takes center stage. Sure, you could try to use some of his little stageplays and mannerisms towards Elder Faerie as a way of gathering information, but he's both extremely temperamental and a really unreliable narrator. Wow, it's like his whole thing is lying. Either way, all eyes are on him for basically all of Episode 2, which honestly makes me all the more baffled people ignore his actions there when building their understanding of him as a character. But, that's a side tangent.

What about Elder Faerie himself, anything the—

Ah. Right.

Unfortunately, we barely get to know him, as most scenes he happens to be in focus more on either White Lily or Shadow Milk, and then he just fucking dies. He himself isn't exactly an exposition machine, so it's not like we gleam much valuable information from him.

The reason these parts of the story don't get much attention as it stands is because, really, most of the time we spend with them is also spent focusing on other things that only just so happen to be related. A lot of it is headcanon and fan speculation, and there's very little to actually work with in the text itself.

So... Just give it a bit. After all...

We already have a promise of more elaboration on these matters up on the horizon. One that, frankly, I am really excited for.

... By the by, I think this is the third time I've been asked about him. No offense, obviously, there's no way anyone could have known about that, but that seems to speak to how desperate y'all seem to be for any crumbs of added characterization or lore for him. I understand thoroughly, but for the time being, all we can do is wait.

Hey wanna know something funny. This coming up in my game genuinely spurred a little headcanon for me

I think that White Lily, as she stands now, would probably be really scrawny and honestly not. healthy looking. at all. like damn girl is that dough pale because you're just made like that or because you barely eat or take care of yourself at all. And off of that I think honestly once she starts recovering she should put on some weight. Get your dope ass awakening beat up your narrative foil then defeat & make out with your other even more direct narrative foil; and then settle down and relax and start eating properly and visually get a good bit squishier and also probably a bit less pale. I think she deserves it tbh after all she's been through

bangs my fist on the floor repeatedly. help i gave myself horrendous Fount of Knowledge related brainworms and i have no idea what to do about it. take this little thought i had yesterday that actually originated as something for an rp server thing (before the message shown here, this one was unrelated to that) but that i think honestly could work in whatever context specially depending on if you want him to be miserable or not

i like him. it baffles me that so many people ignore the potential behind "Fount of Knowledge with severe anger issues and a somewhat unchecked ego both of which need to be repressed at all times no matter what" considering it has all the issues people love pretending Shadow Milk has. which btw yes i do think going from Fount to Shadow Milk was genuinely an improvement in his mental health and self-worth (though one that also kneecapped his ability to ever stop actually being miserable. bandaid fix that also locks you into being a bitter miserable prick forever)
