You Have to Stay Calm || Dadia
Lydia wasn't having too hard of a time making her way through the building. It was all fairly easy, really. A trail of guards followed the teen as she made her way through the hall. Lydia didn't even have a bruise on her, until the alarms sounded. They were loud to a normal person, but they were incapacitating to Lydia. Narrowly avoiding being crushed by a descending wall, she fell to the ground and covered her ears. How was it possible that her ears weren't bleeding? Something rumbled in the building, which Lydia's pain filled mind registered to be an explosion. It was far enough away that it didn't really harm her and the only thing that the brunette had to worry about now was how to get through the metal doors. She reached for an item on her belt, high tech CIA gear that Kayt had lent her for the mission, but stopped when she caught the scent of another person.
Whipping around, she assessed the new person. Her communication system crackled with life and she managed to hear three words "they have supers". Not bothering to waste any time and let this other person possibly surprise her with a power, she launched herself without warning. They rolled with momentum before Lydia landed on top of the soldier, her knife pressed to their neck. The woman beneath her glared up and the lights began to flicker. It popped and the glass showered down, but the feline ignored the slices. Her one and only missive at the moment was finding Dax.
The woman had not expected her to be impassive and seemed even more surprised when Lydia's eyes began to glow. The room had been plunged into darkness, but the brunette refused to move. Pressing her knife harder against the woman's neck, she hissed. "Now, you are going to tell me exactly how to get through these walls. Or I'll kill you. And it will be painful. If you tell me, I'll knock you out and let you live. You can see I'm a super like you. There's no need for you to do this."
The woman spit, which Lydia dodged for the most part. Deciding that the woman would be of no help, she snapped her neck. Looked like she'd be getting through with the CIA gear. Taking out a laser pointer, she guided it in the form of a door. And because it was a laser pointer with an actual laser, it carved through this wall, and the next four, too. Grinning and running through her still molten doors, Lydia took the next few turns quietly, pressing against the walls when troops would run past. Most of them smelled human, but she could smell some supers mixed in with the groups as well.
Finally sneaking into the hall way that had the power cancelling room, she made quick work of the guards, wondering why none of them were supers. But it didn't matter, because she had the key card and she was opening the door to see Clapton, Alaska, Piper's lifeless body, and most importantly Dax. Alaska wasn't bound to the wall, but Clapton and Dax were. Lydia had never been so relieved to smell wet dogs. Running over and using the laser pointer to cut through the chains on the wall before then using a lock pick kit to open the wrist and ankle confinements.
She had freed Clapton first, and once Dax was free, Lydia checked him over for any serious injuries. Finding none, she moved on to check the others, not trusting herself to speak yet. Piper, Clapton, and Alaska were all uninjured. "We have to get out, now. Clapton, carry Piper. She should be able to return to her body once we're out of the hallway, but I'm not sure what being away from it so long will do to her once she wakes up. Alaska, you need to guard them. There are supers here and they will attack." Allowing Clapton and Alaska to tend to Piper, Lydia finally turned her full attention to Dax.
The feline wasn't one to waste time, so she pulled him into a kiss, holding onto him like he might vanish. If they didn't have to leave so soon, Lydia would have liked to stay there kissing Dax forever. But they had to go and get to safety before anything like that. "Dax," she whispered, "we have to get out. But as soon as we leave this room, you'll have your power back. You can't transform while we're running. No matter what happens. I might get hurt fighting the people off, but you have to stay calm." Speaking of hurt, Lydia was suddenly painfully aware of the glass in her hair and the miniscule cuts it had made on her scalp. They burned, but adrenaline was keeping the worst of the pain off. Her "cat suit" had protected the rest of her body though, thankfully.

Kaytlin opened her mouth to tell Dylan it would take them just two more turns to get where they needed to be. But the alarms cut her off. The alarms were coming from beneath them and echoing through the vents. Clapping her hands over her sensitive ears, a scream ripped through Kaytlin. The sound was so loud she couldn’t think straight. Curling into the fetal position and holding her hands over her ears, she tried to block out the noise as much as possible. But she couldn’t escape it and she couldn’t fight it.
The alarm sounds were overridden by the sound of an explosion. Kayt didn’t scream this time, but that was because her ears were ringing. She could see Dylan talking when she finally uncurled her body, wincing at the way her muscles had all clenched. But even though her mind was telling her Dylan was talking, she couldn’t hear him. Horrified, Kayt looked around like a caged animal. She was always calm and collected, but- her ears popped, and she could hear Dylan saying there were supers here. At least the alarms had stopped, though. The alarms. Lydia!
Eyes wide, Kaytlin immediately ducked into a roll, ignoring the cuts and scrapes she received. She stopped once she was where she wanted to be and crouched in the vent. Bracing herself on the top of the vent and pushing herself down while throwing all her weight down, Kayt crashed through the vents and the ceiling. Coughing, she looked up to check that Dylan was following her when she sensed something behind her. Whipping around and elbowing her attacker in the throat, Kaytlin took advantage of the momentarily sputtering opponent to get her gun out. “Dylan stay up there!"
She surveyed the person through the dust falling around them quietly. A pattern that almost looked like cheetah print coated one arm and part of the man’s face. His eyes were cat slits and glowing green. He hissed a challenge at her and Kayt could feel herself responding without thinking about it. In times of high adrenaline, she had the tendency to be a lot more cat like.
Slipping her gun away quickly, Kayt threw herself into a front flip. She would have been able to kick her opponent, but he seemingly vanished from the spot. Landing on her feet and twisting on the spot to locate the man Kayt searched for him. He was now behind her and laughing.
The cheetah print was explained at least. His laugh was getting closer when his form blurred this time. Saved by her own instincts, Kaytlin threw up an arm to block a blow. Their exchange consisted of Kaytlin just blocking blows coming at her in the quickest succession she’d ever faced. Frustrated at being on defense, she snarled and threw all her weight behind one of the blocks, forcing the man backwards and throwing him off balance. Hurrying to take advantage of the moment, Kaytlin whipped out one of her knives and drove it into his knee.
The man tried to speed away, but his now useless leg prevented that. Smirking, Kayt flipped over him, kicking out his bad knee mercilessly. The man groaned in pain, too distracted by it to notice the woman behind him. Before he could react she dislocated his arm to prevent anymore offensive and while he was distracted with the new pain quickly snapped his neck.
Breathing heavily, she turned a bit reluctantly to look for Dylan. Kaytlin shouldn’t care what he was going to think, but she did. How would he react to her actually killing a man? Hopefully he’d stayed in the vents and hadn’t seen. “Dylan?" She asked hesitantly, shaking some of the dust from her hair.

Recalling that Swamp Thing was one of the villains Dylan had fought, Kaytlin's next question was what he was doing up his ass. "And why do you know what that smells like?" She asked, rounding another corner. Rolling her eyes as they continued to crawl forward, Kaytlin scoffed. "You can't even smell the half of it." With her power, the stench was almost overwhelming and Kaytlin was doing her best to breathe through her mouth. The smell really was awful. Although telling the people about health violations was certainly out of the question. "We're on a time sensitive mission, we can't stop and have an idle chat about how terrible the vents smell."
Pausing in the crawling, Kayt turned her head to look over her shoulder when Dylan complimented her on her suit...and asked about how difficult it was to remove. She could see his smug smile clear as day with her glowing eyes, so she turned back around and continued moving forward. "Well, Catwoman is somewhat of an idol in my family. Besides, It's harder to cut and easier for me to move in." Kaytlin debated whether or not to actually answer his question before turning another corner. "And no, it's not very difficult. It's two pieces, even though it doesn't look like it. And there's a zipper." Not that Kayt was going to tell him where that zipper was.

Kaytlin couldn't fathom why he seemed so amused by her question, but she let his laughter go and watched as he sliced through the shaft with ease. Her eyes appraised him as he gave his victory chant, and though the latter could use work his biceps looked good flexed. Not that she would ever tell him that. Kaytlin took his hand and hoisted herself up. "What a gentleman," she said with an eyeroll before she was about to get into the vents. "I don't believe in luck," came her retort, "whatever happens occurs because we are prepared or unprepared for a situation. And besides not believing in it, I don't need it."
Crawling into the vent, she tapped her ear lightly, asking Clary for directions. Three rights, two lefts, four more rights. Shrugging, Kaytlin began crawling forward. "Follow me." The space was a bit cramped, but there was plenty of room for her to move. The odor in the vent was a bit gross, but she was going to have to deal with it for now. They made their first turn after a few minutes before continuing.

Kaytlin lingered in the cockpit after everyone filed out, slipping a holster  around her waist and a thigh sheath on. A gun wasn't something to play around with, but this wasn't a game. And if they were shooting at her or someone on the team, Kaytlin was going to shoot back. She wouldn't shoot to kill, just a shoulder or maybe a foot. Checking the safety to be sure it was on and adding a few clips to her belt as well. Better to be over prepared than under prepared. A knife was sheathed in the thigh sheath and she added one to her boot. Kaytlin left her hair down, even though her mother often yelled at her for it. It was a danger in a fight, but Kaytlin couldn't stand the way she looked with it pulled into the bun that was attempted to be forced upon her as a child.
She walked outside, her night vision kicking in as her eyes glowed. Watching as Scarlett and Cav walked away made her nervous. She didn't like the idea of trusting them, but no one else would be able to get in. Sighing, Kaytlin watched as Lydia followed after them at their signal. Letting her baby sister walk in the front door of a military base went against her better judgment, but she wasn't the leader of this mission. But she was, at least, the leader of her group. Which Kaytlin had cleverly managed by using her feminine wiles against Dylan Flames. He approached her for their strategy and Kaytlin motioned westward. "We're going to get into the ventilation system," she informed him, ignoring his nickname for her. A Narc was someone that enforced drug laws, but she doubted her sharing that knowledge with him would lead to him stopping the usage. Kaytlin had looked it up after her first encounter with him. She had taken to calling him flames in Italian anyways.
"Follow me, I'll warn you if there's anything to trip you," she ordered, spotting the signal from Scarlett and Cav. The prissy girl was actually resourceful when need be. Kaytlin started off into the darkness, jogging  about fifty paces to the west, where Clary had said a vent led to outside. She studied the vent, trying to decide the best way to unlatch it. "How sharp are your swords?" The feline finally asked, turning to look at him.
Light My Fire - Dylan Flames & Kaytlin Jewel
Dylan’s world was great. He was visiting his old school where there were nothing but good memories, he was having the time of his life with his little sister, he was rescuing captured students, and he scored a potential date with a super hot super babe. Out of all their brothers Dylan was glad Ardea called him. Being the oldest had it perks. Of course their middle brother, Frankie, didn’t use his powers except for twinkling sparkle effects while chorus lining to Little Shop Of Horrors or whatever. Dylan wasn’t one for Broadway musicals., but he supported his brother. The other brother was a different story. Villainy wasn’t new to the Flames family. But their little brother Josh used to be such a good kid. That’s why they sent him to boot camp. And of course the little rugrat, Bronx, didn’t have a power and he was five.
The only thing that would make the day better is if Kaytlin would give up some of her power. But that wasn’t going to happen. So when he looked to her outside of the plane Dylan was really struggling. He wanted to lead the troops to battle, but he had to stick to her strategy. “What first, Narc?” He loved that nickname for her. Yes he knew Narc meant a cop who enforces drug laws, but he didn’t think she knew that. And he didn’t care. Dylan pulled out one of his swords. When powered up they burst into flames. He ran a finger across the smooth surface. He could do a lot of damage, but he promised only to knock them out. Which he could do too. Just enough hear would cause someone to pass out without killing them.

This list of partners is as follows.
Ardea and Easton
Scarlett and Sunny
Kenny and Bella
Myself and Cav...and Piper
Kaytlin and Dylan
And Clary will be staying at Sky High for mission control.
Stick to your partner and be careful, we don't want anyone to get unnecessarily hurt. But remember, these people are not going to lower their weapons just because it's a kid running at them instead of an adult. Stay on high alert. Alright, everyone synchronize your watches and take an ear piece. It's vitally important that you follow any orders I or Clary give you. But whatever you do, avoid killing unless it's absolutely necessary. This is a rescue mission, our number one goal is to get in and get out quickly and efficiently not to kill the soldiers.
Tumblr media
Alright everyone on the plane, Cav... Piper, join Kaytlin and I in the cockpit, we need your directions. As for the rest of you, buckle up.

-turns back around to face him- My power includes superhuman hearing. I can hear you perfectly, I just thought it was amusing to listen to you continuously interrupt yourself. If you think this is controlling, you might not actually want to come on the mission.

And I had assumed you would know what I was saying. Seeing as you referred to Rome as Roma. It was a clear indicator that you spoke Italian, which is why I chose that language. If I was trying to be mysterious I would have tried Filipino.
Eyo baby! Where is my beautiful little sister?
