I came here to ask for a idv match up! I'm a female, she/her, I'm bi but I do have a preference towards men. Also, I don't mind a survivor or hunter!! Whatever you feel like atm dear. After much thinking,, I've decided to match you up with...

Let's first address the big elephant in the room: Photography..（・∀・）

Since the both of you love photography,, I can most *definitely* imagine you two taking pictures of scenery found in the manor..

As well as *some* of the silly things that happen outside of matches.. Although,, it's more on your end than Joseph's..

However,, I must also remind you that you WILL be bombarded with questions partaining to your "equipment"..(｡･ω･｡)

Whether it'd be a modern HD camera or your smartphone,, it's safe to assume that Joseph will be VERY much curious about these "equipment" that you have brought from the "future" ((even though we call it anything *but* from the future..))

"Are you telling me that this camera of yours can capture pictures instantly??? With just a simple press of a button??? Then, does that mean you won't have to stand for long periods of time to take your picture???"

((Fun fact: the first cameras that were patented require you to stand for long periods of time to take your picture which explains why plenty of the pictures during the Victorian Era were people staying in one position like standing..))

"This "smartphone" can ALSO capture pictures?? Would you mind showing me how, ma chérie??"

"The quality of the pictures are ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! From what time period must you be to access this kind of machinery, ma chérie???"

I highly suggest that you study your equipment thoroughly because Joseph *will* be asking questions about your photography equipment..

Well,, that and Joseph will *literally* fumble with *every* single nook and cranny of said equipment where he might actually break something on accident..

Which is rare for the gentlemanly and disciplined Joseph,, however we ARE talking about one of his biggest passions here..╮(─▽─)╭

Another topic here that is perhaps connected somehow is editing!!（⌒▽⌒）

Joseph is quite astonished when you told him one time that photos can be tweaked from your time period..

Now, on one hand,, he is amused as he sometimes *does* struggle with getting the perfect picture when the environment around him just isn't having it..

But he also can't fathom the idea of people actually editing their photos so much that sometimes,, the unedited version looks far too different than the edited version...

When I say that,, I specifically mean people who probably use photoshop just a *bit* too much..(^_^;)

Not that there is anything wrong about it as everyone knows.. After all,, sometimes we just use it solely for entertainment by making weird, abstract collages of people..

((Like photoshopping a bunch of characters from different fandoms to make some sort of crack-crossover movie poster..╮(─▽─)╭))

It just that Joseph prefers less edited photos as he believes that a photo can shine on it's own when it's taken skillfully..

((Another fun fact: Based from what I can gather, the French in the 1800s preferred a more natural look, which is evident by their choices in makeup like powder for the face or some simple rouge for the lips and cheeks.. Of course,, we are excluding the hair as we all know that big, elaborate wigs were all the rage in this era..))

In fact,, he might even throw a *little* shade towards photos that are super edited...(◎_◎;)

Pls tell him to calm down and not insult people who do something similar to that.. It'll only escelate and get worse in the future..

Okay,, now that we've discussed those, I think we shall head on over to other things, don't you think??（・∀・）

Another reason as to why I paired you with Joseph is because of your upbeat and loving energy!!（〜^∇^)〜🧡

Joseph's life before the manor was already pretty gloomy, and it hasn't really improved when he got into the manor..

So your very energetic and affectionate nature will surely bring in some lost warmth to his life!!（＞ｙ＜）

Although,, please be patient with him for at least a little while.. After all, him *suddenly* receiving love and attention is a bit overwhelming for him to process all at once..╮(─▽─)╭

When he *does* gets used to it, he appreciates it very much..(∩_∩)

With that being said however,, he is still quite disciplined about the time that you two spend together AND the time that you two spend seperately from each other so you won't have to worry about having your boundaries being meshed together..（・∀・）

On the topic of affections,, Joseph will actually be a bit shocked to hear you dish out compliments to everyone in the manor.. And quite frankly,, as well as everyone else that you complimented

((Listen,, we're talking about the Victorian Era,, where modesty is highlighted as a core value..))

I'll be honest in saying that for a split-second,, Joseph *might've* actually thought of you as a flirtatious person

So when you explained to him that that's just how you are and that you just like to point out nice things about other people,, he's confused..(^_^;)

"Wait, but you complimented Mike's juggling act. Shouldn't that mean that you would like to court him??"

"Didn't you tell Victor that you thought he was sweet?? Pardon me for asking this, but are you... Interested in him, ma chérie?"

You're going to have to explain to him that just because you like a certain aspect of a person,, that doesn't mean you actually like them AS A WHOLE...

He may or not have demanded that you bake for him the next time that you two will have your afternoon tea together..(⌒_⌒;)

It's his "apology gift" as he puts it...

Okay,, I know I said that Joseph absolutely appreciates your loving side,, but he also *adores* your more "colder" side..

And no,, it's not because he's a masochist..(｡･ω･｡)

See, as much as Joseph relishes in the feeling of protecting someone he cares/loves.. Even he can admit that sometimes,, it gets too exhausting when your partner is the *literal definition* of a walking doormat..

I don't know about you,, but I kind of picture Joseph as someone who wants to have a partner that, at the *very least*,, can stand on their own two feet.. It gives Joseph a sense of pride,, see???

In conclusion,, I personally think that you and Joseph would work wonders for each other!! Different in your personalities, but united through the same common interest of photography.. I'd say its a decent balance of "opposites attract" and "similarities attract"..

Author's note: On the topic of people photoshopping the heck out of their photos.. DON'T HARRASS/BULLY/INSULT THEM PLEASE!!! I will be blunt in saying that I frankly do not care whatever your intentions were, because when you strip said intentions away from the grand scheme of things,,

All that's left is a situation where someone insulted/bullied/harassed another person just for editing their photos a bit too much..

And when you put it like that,, wouldn't you agree that it sounds idiotic? Because in all honesty, it is..(¬_¬) After all,, those photos won't be affecting you much in the long run now,, would they??

And even if you said that you did it with good intentions, the way you acted upon these "intentions" was poorly done when it could've been handled *much* more efficiently...

So in short,, pls don't harrass anyone that you know that does these to their photos, it's not only for their sake but also yours..( ´ ▽ ` )

I apologize for ranting like that,, however I feel as though these types of situations are completely meaningless AND avoidable had it not been for the people that continue to stick their fingers into others' honeyjars.. So I personally as though it needs to be said.. Again, sorry if this rant is a bit unsettling and a bit "rough on the edges"..(⌒_⌒;)

Alright,, I'll be honest in saying that at first, I didn't know how or why I came to this conclusion..

But after some thinking and reflecting, I realized that "yes, this is a match that could work"

Norton will most definitely be able to relate to your struggle of just sitting still, all the the while learning to just relax with you being more chill on most days..( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

((I swear I'm not ripping off one of my *other* matchups..(◎_◎;) ))

That and with your hobbies involving drawing and video games,, you could also teach him how to have some time just doing things for the sake of entertainment..（・∀・）

Because I'm not sure how many people have decided to look up his backstory in a lot of detail...

However, his backstory says time and time again that he is a hardworker, sometimes even risking his own health for the sake of doing more labor work..

And because of the fact that Norton most likely has ONLY done labor work in his entire life,, I can imagine that he may have some *trouble* in trying to have fun..╮(─▽─)╭

Even now,, where he is no longer in the mines, he most likely trains his body to be in tip-top shape for matches..

It's now practically a habit of his by this point..

So please help him learn how to rest and have fun.. He would really appreciate it..（⌒▽⌒）

Oh yes,, on the topic of video games...

He doesn't understand it but he IS very much intrigued by it..

Moving pictures but YOU can control the character and interact with the world in the game??? Color him surprised...

He may not be someone who is passionate about technology,, however seeing as how advanced your technology is compared to his time period, he's definitely going to ask some questions..

ESPECIALLY with how you came to own these "video games" because seeing as how smooth and high quality the graphics are,, Norton assumes that you must be of someone of the middle to upper class..

((Fun fact: the technologies that were invented/used during the Victorian Era were mostly used by the middle-upper class seeing as how they easily afford these compared to the lower class.. It's a lot like nowadays actually..))

So he's going to be even *more* surprised at the fact that almost anyone can own video games back at your time period,, and that sometimes, there are even games that are free..

"Wait, what? You're telling me that there are games that are FREE??? If so, then how are the creators making money off of it then???"

I could see him asking you if he could play and depending on the genre,, there's a chance where he *might* actually beat you..

So stay on guard if you wish to keep your highscores..(｡･ω･｡)

But I could see him liking games that are a bit more chill, relax, and just overall mellow..

It helps in grounding him back into reality and in just making him feel a bit more peaceful,, what with all that he's gone through his life..

Also,, Norton would absolutely LOVE napping with you~（⌒▽⌒）

As stated before,, Norty over here has a habit of overworking himself, so much so that he's very much willing to sacrifice his health in exchange of finishing his duties..

So, sleeping with you will ACTUALLY serve as a *little* reminder to Norton that he should just plop down and sleep for once..

The both of you will also have A LOT of pillow talks btw..（・∀・）

Although,, please be mindful that Norton has a tendency to snore really loud, so you might want to find some earmuffs if you're a light sleeper ((like yours truly..))

In terms of reading,, Norton has *some* knowledge in reading..

I'm saying *some* because the education he received isn't exactly "complete" per say.. And, it isn't even great either..

Well,, he DID study at a charity school,, which was all the education that you can get as a member of the lower-class... (^_^;)

((Another fun fact: Education wasn't open for the lower-class.. They only opened it for them at the end of the 19th century & at the beginning of the 20th century..))

And so,, because of this, there will be times where Norton will ask you how to read a specific word and/or what it means.. Let's both hope you know your vocabulary right.. (｡･ω･｡)

If not,, then, consider carrying a pocket dictionary the next time you both read.. You're most likely going to need it..

All in all,, I'd say that you two are going to compliment and balance each other out pretty well,, what with Norton's hardworking nature and your more mellow and chill nature.. ╮(─▽─)╭

He would really be shocked and confused as to 1) HOW you got here? And 2) WHY are you here?

You, a ROYAL? Someone who's been sheltered and pampered ALL her LIFE, would PARTICIPATE in a gruesome game like THIS???

He really couldn't understand it..

Although he was very curious about you,, he *did* hold himself back from walking up to you and just bombard you with ALL sorts of questions..

So, it took the both of you some time to be acquainted with each other.. Naib started out small,, like greeting you with a rather stiff and rusty bow in an attempt to "match" with your own elegant courtesy whenever you two crossed paths..( ´ ▽ ` )

Or pulling your seat for you whenever you would sit down and prepare for a match..

To even lending you a hand in carrying your stuff when they were too heavy such as books, clothes, personal hygeine items, hair care, skin care, etc...

(Naib really wonders if you REALLY needed all of your 50 ballgowns and dresses...)

He just really wants you to feel at home despite being trapped in a manor..

On the topic of making you feel at home...

There's another thing aside from doing acts of service: protectiveness

He understands that you were most likely protected and guarded by knights before you went into the manor,, so you *probably* didn't know much about self defense...

So if anyone EVER tries to touch you, be it your hair, your face, your arm..

You can *BET* that Naib is going to be slapping said person's hand away while ushering you to get behind him..

He WILL do this to BOTH survivor OR hunter by the way...(｡･ω･｡)

You were very much pleased by Naib's protection and support,, he was just like your own personal butler and knight back home!!

Over time,, Naib's gestures had gotten bolder and bolder...

He went from doing acts of service, to teaching you how to kite, how to heal, how to rescue, how to vault windows, etc...

However,, you may or may not have teared up from the fact that you accidentally snagged a piece of your favorite dress from trying to put down a pallet...(^_^;)

Naib really panicked at that time.. He knows how to sew open wounds, not dresses and ballgowns!! (◎_◎;)

Nevertheless,, the both of you would still have fun by the end of the day..

Naib really couldn't help but be in love with you... How could he not though?? You were so sweet and elegant in everything that you do..

Even during the moments where you weren't the most elegant,, he still cherished it all the same..( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

Which is why he REALLY couldn't deny his jealousy and saltiness towards Wu chang, Joseph, heck,, even Mary sometimes.. Joseph and Mary are both nobles so OF COURSE you would relate to the aristocratic life,, and Wu chang were GUARDS before they got into the manor,, so OF COURSE they would serve as better protectors than he is..

Then, look at him,, he's nothing more than a man whose ENTIRE job revolves around killing targets that his clients propose.. Well,, at least that's what he thinks anyways..

Be that as it may,, Naib's mind would still be plagued by this thought.. So much so that He doesn't even notice that he's been distancing himself from you...

You aren't the same however... You KNOW that something's been disturbing him, you KNOW that something's upsetting him.. You can literally FEEL it..

And so,, in these times, you would decide to come visit him in his designated room,, all the while comforting him and telling him that while he may not be a noble or a guard,, you still love him regardless of his status and that you are grateful for everything that he's done for you..❤

Naib says nothing,, however, his body language and look of pure love and adoration on his face tells you everything you need to know..❤❤❤

That day has now marked an important event of your lives: the start of a new, blooming relationship..（⌒▽⌒）

First of all,, remember how I talked about his jealousy and protectiveness?? Well,, those just got amplified when you two are confirmed to be in a relationship now..

He sometimes does this thing where if someone wants to speak with you,, Naib would do either of these 2 things: either he asks you if you want to speak to them OR if he's feeling a little selfish with your time,, he just tells them to go "set up an appointment" with you...

He is really astonished at all the different kinds of spoons and forks, all the different etiquettes you follow, the amount of tiaras that you have...

And *especially* at how many relatives that you have.. Which was MUCH larger than the average family size...

((Fun fact: During the Victorian Era, the average family size was actually 6 children.. It had gone down by half by the end of said Era..))

I can't tell why,, but I have this headcannon in my mind that Naib actually prefers more simpler clothing on you.. He just doesn't like too much "eye clutter" per say...

That,, and there's just something so mesmerizing about your regal beauty meshing into the very simple clothing that Naib just finds so.. Heavenly..

All in all,, Naib is just dumbfounded and amazed as to how you had fallen in love with him and just how lucky he is at being with someone like you..

Much like Naib,, Demi over here is confused as to what a royal is doing here...

You get this question a LOT.. It stuck around for so long that it became an inside joke whenever Demi sees you in the same room as her...╮(─▽─)╭

Now,, she may be a girl,, but don't be fooled... She's surprisingly strong for her physique... So she'll DEFINITELY help you carry your stuff...

Just be prepared to be bombarded with ALL SORTS OF QUESTIONS about your stuff..

"Daaammnnn~ You royals really love your fancy schmancy stuff,, do you??"

"Ooooohhhh~~ A diamond encrusted necklace?? Hey, you wouldn't mind me borrowing it right??"

"This ball gown matches well with one of my costumes! Hey, how about we both dress up? We would REALLY look great together~❤"

You're going to have to get used to these questions someday...（・∀・）

She DOES teach you the basics,, but in all honesty, she never really lets you apply the things that you learned when you're actually in matches...

A hunter is right behind you?? You can bet that Demi will chug down her D.U.P.H.R.I.N, run as fast as she could and sweep you off your feet in a bridal carry..（＾ｖ＾）

"It is I, Your Knight in shining armor!!"

This happens all the time in matches

A hunter is preparing to take a swing on you?? Well,, not on Demi's watch!! Before the hunter can swing their weapon at you, Demi takes one of her bottles and smashes it onto their head...

She DID lose some morality points for that though....

Eventually,, you had to tell Demi that as much as you appreciate her "support", you still have to stand on your own,, ESPECIALLY when Demi is not in the same match as you are..

Demi would *reluctantly* agree and say that she just can't stand the thought of you being hurt, she doesn't want you to be in harm's way because she knows that some survivors *probably* just see you as dead weight,, considering you've been pampered your whole entire life..

Demi would then go on and tell you that she had been taking a liking towards you, and is interested in being in a relationship with you..

"Listen, your highness, I may not be an ACTUAL knight in shining armor, or a prince from some far away land.. But, I'd still want to take a chance at persuing you.. So, what do you say? Will you allow me to take a chance at wooing your heart??"

You of course say yes,, besides, you don't really care if she is of noble blood or not.. Her bold and daring personality is what made you like her..

And thus,, your relationship has started!!

Demi gets a *little* protective over you,, ESPECIALLY when someone's trying to flirt with you..

"Ah, ah, ah, she's mine~~"

"Oi, she's already taken, you idiot! How about go flirtin with someone who's NOT TAKEN???"

Demi over here doesn't really have any problem regarding jealousy,, if anything,, YOU might be the one having some jealousy problems here and there..

FUN FACT!! Dating advice from the Victorian Era are actually really decent ((minus the sexist gender stuff...)) I'll list down some of the advice that I can pull at the top of my head:

For the ladies, it is recommended that you don't accept ANY gifts from a gentleman that you're not interested in..

For the gentlemen out there, you shouldn't flirt with EVERY GIRL that you meet.

Don't make your partner jealous

You're allowed to show PDA,, but not so much that it makes other people uncomfortable...

When walking down a street,, the gentleman should walk on the "outer" part of the street so he can protect the lady from mud, rainwater, or even carriages that are running loose..

You're actually NOT allowed to talk with your dance partner while AND after the dance. You're only allowed to talk to them BEFORE the dance..

If a gentleman wants to talk to a lady who is married,, he must ask for permission from the lady's husband first..

When the lady gets into a fight, the gentleman must step in to mediate the situation. Depending on whether it was the lady's fault, the gentleman will either argue with the opposing party or he will apologize on the lady's behalf. Also,, the gentleman is NOT allowed to take the opposing party's side..

If your suitor is already behaving poorly, ESPECIALLY during the courtship stage, it is best to leave them because if they're already bad as a suitor, they're going to be worse as a partner..

I know this is not a headcannon/fic per say,, however I thought that it *might* be worth sharing..（・∀・）

As for WHY I'm looking these stuff up,, I'm trying to gather more knowledge about the Victorian Era so I can write my given requests much more accurately in terms of the time period...

Now,, this IS much more catered for requests about Identity V... However, If I ever found another fandom with a similar timeline,, I guess I can include some things that I've learned..╮(─▽─)╭

However,, I will accept because as much as it pains me to write angst,, I also have to in order to improve my writing skills..

I'll do this in one shot/fic form as I feel as though I can convey emotions there better. That and I've been doing headcannons as of late,, so let's switch it up a notch..

WARNINGS: DEATH, BLOOD, SPOILERS FOR JOSEPH'S BACKSTORY

Joseph x fem! S/o

To be Sick at Heart💔

"How did this all happen?" thought the Frenchman, although it was more retorical, as he already knew deep down the answer to that question... He just can't accept it..

You had been an acquaintance to Joseph before, seeing as how your family served him, and the both of you only grew closer once you got caught in the twisted "games" of the manor. Joseph asked as to what had tempted you to accept the invitation of the manor.

It turns out, you were looking to find people who you can treat as your own family. In all your life, you practically had been treated like dirt, especially the time when Joseph had gone missing. Your family had given you love and acceptance, but it was short-lived seeing as how their lives were slowly taken from them early on in your life by sickness, you had no one but the other servants to take care of you.

The other servants cared for you, but not to the same extent as your family... You were aware of that fact as did they. So, when the invitation arrived, you couldn't help but accept right away.

It promised that "they" could fulfill your desire of having the bonds and relationships that you never had growing up, why wouldn't you accept? You would be missing out on a golden oppurtunity.

And so, that was how you ended up in this morbid manor, tricked and forced to participate in these "games" that gets everyone hurt much like every other survivor who came here...

Days had gone by. Weeks. Months. Hell, even years, and you were all still being forced to play.

Thankfully, you had everyone to keep you company during these times.. Thanks to your loving nature, you were able to be close with everyone in the manor, even those who are notorious at being secretive like Norton. You even managed to befriend some of the hunters as well.

But most especially of all, you were thankful you had Joseph to be there with you.

You were quite shocked when you saw the silver-haired count, as he had seemingly disappeared out of nowhere the last time. So to see him here made you pleasantly surprised.

Joseph as well felt shocked when he saw you here, albeit he took some time to figure who exactly you were as you looked extremely familiar to him.

It didn't take long for the both of you to grow close to each other where outside of matches, you two were practically inseperable. The both of you would be spotted having afternoon tea together, walking around the manor together, sightseeing for new photoshoot locations together.

You always did things together...

Over time though, you would grow feelings for the count and the same can be said for Joseph as well. However, your fears of being rejected has delayed the both of you from ever confessing about your feelings toward each other. The others in the manor can most definitely see your connection as bright as day, but they really didn't know how to go about helping you about it. After all, all of them never really had great experiences in their lives, so they don't know what would normally be best in a situation like this..

Despite this, you can't help but feel content and happy that you have found people that you can treat as your family. Emily and Michiko were like motherly figures to you with their kind nature. Leo treated you like his own daughter, much like how he treats Emma. Wu Chang, Andrew, Norton, Naib, and Eli were like big brothers for you, always being protective of you to keep you safe.

You really felt at home with all of the inhabitants. It almost felt as if being stuck in a manor wasn't so bad after all...

Almost

There was still one more thing you wanted to do. You had discovered your family, but you wanted to expand on that desire..

You wanted to start your own family

And you would want to do so with someone you love... That someone would be the Frenchman with whom you have grown immense feelings for.. So you sent him an invitation to go to the balcony of the garden at night, where you won't be disturbed by the others...

Unbeknownst to you, the Frenchman had been thinking the same thing, especially after reading the invitation you sent him. Can you blame him though? Seeing you interacting with him, along with all of the others, made him feel butterflies in his stomach. How you unconditionally helped the other inhabitants through their issues and suffering, not because you needed something from them, but because you wanted to. You wanted to help them, you wanted to nurture them, you wanted to support them...

With that feeling alone, Joseph finds that he just couldn't take it anymore... He wants to confess to you..

He wants to be with you, to call you his love, to marry you and call you his wife, and to start a family as well..

With that thought, he made up his mind and decided to accept your invitation, and there, he will confess..

It was night time, you were already at the balcony waiting, knowing that Joseph values punctuality and doesn't like to be kept waiting. Soon after, Joseph shows up. It seems as though he had been brisk walking which is evident by the way he's catching his breath in the slightest.

Taking a deep breath, you slowly and calmly began to confess your feelings towards him and how you wanted to start building a future with him as the father of your children.

Joseph was in awe, for he had never could've guessed that you felt the same way. He accepted, saying how he had always thought about you the same way, and that he would be honored to be the father of your children. Joseph took a few steps towards you, with you unconsciously doing the same. Joseph wrapped his arms around your waist to pull you closer, while you wrapped yours around his neck.

He lifted his hand and tilted your chin upwards to stare at your features, admiring them. The way your skin glistened in the moonlight, how your eyes sparkled with life when he stared at them. How your cheeks were flushed with the slightest hint of color.

You looked angelic to him.

Brushing his thumb over your lower lip, he slowly closed his eyes as he allowed his lips to connect with yours.. You can't help but reciprocate immediately, you'd been waiting for this moment to come. You truly felt happy that you took the risk to confess to him, knowing that he may have rejected you instead.

And that was the start of your blossoming relationship...

For the next few years, the two of you became more and more in love with each other every single day. Countless affirmations of love, bouquets of your favorite flowers, numerous cuddling sessions, along with the discussion of having a domestic life together..

You two really had the potential to have a wonderful life together...

But, there are repercussions in growing fond of the potential...

One time at a match, you had been feeling dizzier and more nauseous by the second, so much so that it frequently disoriented you from kiting the hunter properly. At some point even, you threw up a bit. Your team still won the match since the hunter decided to go friendly in the end because of your condition, however they were still concerned for you so they sent you immediately to Emily.

You were diagnosed to be pregnant..

Your thoughts immediately went to Joseph. A mixture of joy and anxiousness washed over you. Can be a good mother for your child? Can you really do this? Can you really start a family like you had promised? What if you do something wrong? What if you're not cut out for this?

Just as your thoughts began to generate more questions, Joseph runs in and looks over to you with wide eyes. Emily must've told him that you were pregnant with his child. He immediately went towards your bed and hugged you as he sobbed his heart out.

He was so convinced that the bright future you two head towards is certain...

Oh, how a fool he was for believing so....

2 months in and your belly hasn't been growing rapidly.. Normally, you would've had a small baby bump forming on your belly... Joseph and Emily had been constantly reassuring you that you might need to readjust your diet more to fit your baby's needs....

But, that's not the only thing bothering you...

You see, just as you haven't "developed" your baby, your dizziness and nausea didn't go away. For quite sometime, you thought it was normal.....

Until you see tiny specks and droplets of blood on your hand...

That's when you realize....

You're not actually pregnant.. You're sick...

Having this sudden realization, you quickly washed your hand and looked at yourself in the mirror... Maybe this was some sort of mistake? Maybe you're actually pregnant and you just scratched the inside of your cheek?

You were hoping. Praying, that it was anything else other than a sickness... However, as time passed, you felt yourself growing weaker and weaker...

For months, you had kept this sickness of yours a secret. You didn't want to make anyone worry about you and you especially didn't want to disappoint Joseph with the fact that you're not actually carrying a baby or make him devastated with your death just as he became devastated with his twin brother's death...

However, try as you may, the longer you kept it a secret, the more the others noticed. How your skin was getting paler, how your cheeks had started to sink in, how you became alarmingly skinnier and bonier, how your eyes became more dull and lifeless...

Most importantly, at how you became increasingly more secretive and quiet about all this.

Joseph was by far being more and more anxious than before. He didn't know what was happening. He wasn't an expert in medicine, but even he could notice that this isn't normal for a pregnancy..

Quickly carrying you to Emily, he asked for a check-up to see what was happening. You would've stopped him if it weren't for the fact that you were so weak, you couldn't move a muscle without hurting it.. There, he was informed about the condition you're in. He was just as shocked as you are, but there's a mixture of fear and hopelessness bubbling inside him...

No. He couldn't let this happen. Not again...

His breathing starts going rapid, his hands start shaking, he hugs himself as he looks at you at your weakened state with tears threatening to spill from his eyes...

Just as he was about to confront you, Victor had entered and pointed towards the main hall, signaling Joseph and Emily to go there.

Apparently, there's a meeting that's going to be held.

Joseph and Emily looked at each other before turning to look at you. Then, they quickly left the room, with you all alone inside with nothing but your thoughts and the life within you.. Or, what's left of it...

The meeting started once Joseph and Emily arrived as they were the only ones left to attend. Emily had to quickly explain your condition when some of the others questioned your whereabouts.. All were quite shocked and concerned about your sickness, however the meeting was said to be an important one so they had to stay. They'll just have to relay the information given to you by the time it's done..

After the meeting, everyone was so shocked and confused that for several moments, no one said a word.. Who wouldn't though? Because after all this time...

They were all finally free

Free from the clutches of the manor, free from the twisted "games", free from the prison that presented itself as a grand oppurtunity for everyone to get what they want.

They were free at last... Now, they can all live their lives as they want it to be...

Suddenly realizing this, Joseph quickly made his way back to your room. There was still hope he thought, he had hoped for you to get better and finally leave this prison together, along with the others.

But what he saw when he opened the door made him feel like his heart had been crushed into a million pieces...

There in your room, was you lying in your bed, breath shallow and rapid, crimson blood dripping from the side of your mouth and staining the sheets, your eyes looking duller and duller as ever...

You were grasping..

Grasping for whatever life you had left within you, it made Joseph run to your side quickly as he cradled your head in his arms, proclaiming you'll be fine and that you're all free now and that you just need to hold on for a little while longer..

But you both know that you won't make it..

You both know that Joseph is more so convincing himself, than convincing you..

The others had rushed in to see you, and they too were crushed for they also wished for you to escape with all of them...

You held Joseph's hand, and told him not to worry anymore.. Looking towards the others, you proclaimed that you had finally found the people that you can call your family, and that even if Joseph can't see you, you'll always be there for him no matter what.. And that you wish for him to be happy and enjoy his newfound freedom, without the confinements of the manor...

Joseph begged you to stay, to hang on, to stay strong, all while sobbing uncontrollably but to no avail...

You withdrew your final breath as your hand became limp, your eyes closed, and your body going cold...

...

...

...

You had died

For the second time in his life, he once again witnessed the death of someone he deeply cared about..

First Claude......... And now, you....

Joseph lost it as he let all his tears and sadness out.. Everyone, soon followed suit. They can't help but be crushed at the thought of their friend never making it on time for the escape....

The now former inhabitants of the manor prepared one last funeral in honor of your death, with Aesop embalming you, Andrew preparing the hole from which will forever be your resting place, Emma preparing the funeral flowers, while the others prepared the venue... The Red Church.. Everyone gathered and mourned for your death. By the end of it all, everyone left the cemetery and the manor together, with Joseph gripping a bar of the gate, longing to see you again once more and hoping that you were still alive somehow...

Alas, it never came. And so, he reluctantly left the manor and had trenched forward to live his life "to the fullest"...

But how can he ever live his life as he pleases when you're not around? How can he simply enjoy the pleasures of life when you aren't there to accompany him? How can he move on when he doesn't want to forget you?

These thoughts plague him constantly, as he stirs his tea mindlessly, looking into the distance, as his new "family" were chatting happily, not knowing what goes on inside his head..

He has a family now alright, but it wasn't perfect.. It wasn't with you.

That thought is enough to make him sick at heart, for he will never experience the joy he had longed for when you were still around...

Sick at Heart : to experience deep unpleasant emotions such as grief or disappointment

I'm female and bi with a male preference, but female is fine too. Survivor or hunter, I'm fine with either. I like to read novels and listening to music. I would most of the time have my earbuds on. I tend to have a rbf and sound sarcastic when I don't intend to. I'm a mom friend apparently but I can also be pretty childish and petty. I'm pretty lazy, but once I get it together I can actually do things. I have pretty bad eyesight too. Not a conversationalist either, but that also depends on the topic. I dont really like small talk either. It gets too awkward easily...

I'm not sure just how many people are aware,, however..

Mike is a pretty childish and immature person so pairing him up with someone more motherly would work wonders for him..（・∀・）

After all,, I think we can agree that him filling up his juggling balls with explosives and his cauliflower ears are pretty compelling evidence that he *might* get himself into trouble time to time so he needs someone to look after him..╮(─▽─)╭

I also feel as though Mike wouldn't really mind your pettiness and sarcastic tendencies one bit. He's going to be conversationally intelligent with how many people he talks to and how different they've all been so he can tell whether you mean to be petty/sarcastic or not..╮(─▽─)╭

The circus DOES travel a lot so,, of course he would learn how to talk to ALL sorts of people..(｡･ω･｡)

So because of this,, you won't have to worry about small talk or things getting awkward!!(ノ^o^)ノ

He talks about all sorts of things. From weird things that happened during his day, pranks that he may have set up or is planning to do, tales when he was still in the circus, to even the smallest mundane things like how a leaf he saw falling from a tree looked like a footprint of a chicken..(◉Θ◉)

So yeah,, you don't need to worry about conversations. AT. ALL

On another reason as to why I matched you up with Mike..

His energy is TOO HIGH... He needs some help in being able to just sit still and relax for a bit..

In terms of reading novels,, Mike wouldn't delve in too much by himself since he gets bored easily..

I won't lie in saying that he looked like he was high on something for a few moments because never in his life has he EVER heard of antiphons that can play music..

However,, can I just say that BOTH of those ideas sound good?? I'll be honest in saying that I wouldn't mind doing the both of them, but in their own respective posts of course..

One day,, you were walking around the manor looking for your sweetheart Margie,, asking the other survivors and even some hunters about her whereabouts..

Until Joker came up to you and said that she had been at the manor's garden practicing *something*

He didn't know what that *something* is when you asked him about it. So you made it a point to yourself to figure it out on your own..

Once you were in the garden,, sure enough you saw Margie dancing to a song,, then shortly finishing it with a closing pose right at the center of the garden surrounded with all the pretty flowers with the sunlight hitting her *just right* that makes it seem like the spotlight is on her..

She looked so ethereal,, you can't help but think to yourself that she truly IS deserving of being a dancer....(´∀`)

Shaking yourself out of your thoughts, you started walking towards her..

Margie heard some light footsteps,, so she opened her eyes, quite pleased and happy to see that it was her darling Sugar Plum Fairy who had come to visit and check up on her..❤

((Can you tell that I like giving nicknames to readers depending on their request????))

"Sugar Plum! Oh, what a joy to see you!! May I ask what brings you here?"

You explained that you were looking for her, and asked her what was she doing practicing a dance for??

Margie said "I'm so sorry you had to look for me s/o! I was just practicing a dance that I thought you can dance to, I know you like seeing me dance, but I also would LOVE it if I could get you to dance with me!"

Now,, let's face it, but you probably aren't as amazing of a dancer as Margie over here and KNOWING that, it made you a tad *bit* nervous...

But Margie assured you that she had come up with a routine that is easy enough for you to understand and follow.

And so,, the practice has begun!( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

The both of you spent some time practicing the routine.. With you may or may not fumbling over your footing countless times..(^_^;)

However, Margie is quite understanding and patient of your mistakes..(^.^)

"Aww, don't be so down on yourself Sugar Plum, you'll get it correctly over time!"

It was like that...... For a while...

Because at some point in the choreography, the routine called for numerous spins, twirls, and leaps. They weren't really hard to do

But the AMOUNT of times that you had to do it would make anyone feel dizzy and nauseous.. And you were no exception..

Spinning around only to entangle your legs like ropes intertwined together, twirling around and bumping into Margie, or leaping then SOMEHOW landing straight into your face which made Margie terribly concerned..

"Oh dear, are you okay Sugar Plum?"

You had some dirt and minor cuts on your face but nothing really fatal((thank god...))

After recovering from the fall,, Margie suddenly let out a small laugh, you can only presume it was because of your mistakes.. "My sincerest apologies for laughing, however, I must say that your attempts were quite humurous, dear.."

You can't help but snicker at her comment, since you WERE quite silly at your attempt to learn the choreography.

Margie stared at you lovingly for a second or two before her expression changed, almost seemed as though a light bulb had lit up on the top of her head...

Margie then stood a little away from you... Then proceeded to imitate and exagerrate your actions earlier..

From spinning too comically fast to leaping while flailing her arms wildly, she was recreating your "dance" while giggling every once in a while..

Honestly,, with anyone else, you might feel a little insulted, but for some reason, you find it charming and endearing when it's Margie who's doing it, so you can't help but just smile and giggle along with her..

You stood up, walked up to her, and tell her that you'll show her the "proper" way and for her to follow your lead.. I mean, you can't just let her have all the fun right??

Margie knew you what you were up to,, but she still followed suit while giggling "hehe, very well! Please show me the "proper" way of dancing, madame!"

From there,, the both of you began your "dance lessons"...（・∀・）

From prancing around the garden while interlocking arms like small children, Margie dramtically dipping you SO down your head almost touches the ground while she has a rose in her mouth, to running and leaping around throwing flower petals everywhere..

You both had a lot of fun, needless to say..( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

When the both of you are all tired out,, you two had decided to lie down on the grass to look up at the light blue sky that's starting to turn orange due to how late the afternoon it was..

While you two were catching your breaths from your silly shenanigans, you would point out some weird shapes in the clouds and Margie would do the same in return..

You once pointed out a cloud that was in the shape of an elephant that slowly turned into a lion...

Margie was quite amused by how the clouds can drastically change like that..

Finally, when the both of you were fully rested, you two got up and started tidying up the garden from earlier..

"I must admit s/o, it's been such a long time since I'm able to have fun like this! The last I felt this way was when... I was younger. So thank you s/o..."

You knew what she was talking about, it was her "experiences" before she met you. So to hear her like this, it made your heart melt, to know that you could be someone to make her happy in these times..

For a while, you two have been staring at each other, almost as if you're communicating each other's feelings

Margie then stepped forward and closed the distance between you two with a sweet kiss as she wrapped her arms around your neck.

You were taken a back at first,, then soon returned her gesture by hugging her close by wrapping your arms around her waist.

You both had stayed like that for a couple of minutes before you parted. Margie smiled softly while interlocking your hand with hers..

"Come now Sugar Plum, it's getting late already, the others might be worried about us if we stay here for too long. We'll just have to practice the routine for another time, hehe.."

And with that, the both of you made your way back into the manor before dusk. You never really learned the routine at that time, but to see your sweetheart smile in exchange was definitely worth the price..❤

I personally think that the both of you would get along

I've looked up of what type of personality an esfp is and thought that someone with a bit more planning skills would be optimal for you.

What?? Just because Emma doesn't make blueprints like Tracy or come up with rescuing strategies like Martha doesn't mean SHE doesn't plan..

Because you'll be surprised with how much planning actually goes into gardening..（・∀・）

Like the environment and how much sunlight and shade does it have, sizes of your plants, IF those plants can withstand pesky parasites or diseases, the FLOWERING time of the plants, or WHEN you're planting them to avoid overcrowding...

And to top it all off,, you also have to worry about the MAINTENANCE of ALL those plants...(｡･ω･｡)

So yeaa,, there's a LOT more planning in gardening than what you might expect...

But I didn't just match you with Emma JUST for this reason..

With how you describe yourself, I feel as though she would fit. Emma is a very caring, understanding, and patient individual so she won't have much of a problem understanding from where you are coming from when you get annoyed.

And I can most definitely say that she won't also mind your clingyness at all!

When you tell her that you need your alone time,, she'll be showing her affections for you even if it's not exactly super *direct* per say..

Like checking in on you every once in a while to see if you need anything, bringing in some snacks on a tray, OR if you have a vase full of flowers and they're wilted or needs some maintenance, she'll make sure that those are taken care of so you can focus on yourself more without being disturbed to do other things

You and Melly weren't interacting as much as of late sadly..

Back to back matches that were really gruesome, it put a *bit* of distance between you two. When one of you was done from your match, the other was either asleep from sheer fatigue OR with emily who is tending to their wounds.

Until one day, you had an idea: a picnic date with Melly?? Sure! Why not? She likes bugs and insects and there's BOUND to be insects on a picnic ((even if its just a bunch of ants taking your food away bit by bit...))

Besides,, you and Melly haven't been able to relax and enjoy in each other's company. So it's like hitting two birds with one stone.

You both get to relax AND to spend time with each other.

When you had suggested this to Melly, her eyes immediately lit up. Needless to say, she's pretty ecstatic with the idea.

The both of you quickly grabbed your stuff for your picnic and with that, the two of you set off..

The picnic was really fun for you two! Majority of the time was spent catching up to what the other was doing while looking at some of the insects and birds..

At some point even,, when Melly was tidying her side of the picnic, a butterfly had landed on your nose ((aww..))

And then another butterfly landed somewhere on your face...

And another, and another...

By the time Melly had turned back around to face you,,,,, she was more or less shocked.. "Honey, are you alright?"

You're alright,, don't worry...

However, she did make you sit still for quite some time so she can observe EVERY SINGLE butterfly on your face..

After she was done,, she had practically "nerded" out to you about ALL the different species of butterflies that she saw..

"Were you aware that there was a Macedonian Grayling in your face as well?? That butterfly is SUCH a rare sighting s/o, to think I'd get to study it up close! You really are one LOVELY Bee Balm.."

((Fun fact: Bee Balm can be used to attract pollinators to your yard..))

You thought that the butterflies were the ONLY thing?? THINK AGAIN

It happened the SECOND TIME when the both of you were walking around sightseeing and taking in the scenery around you...

You had decided to do something a lil goofy for Melly,, so you ran to the nearest rock, stood on top of it, spread your arms out, and started to imitate the sounds and actions of a bird

Melly is quite amused at your goofy idea,, even bringing a hand up to her lips to stop herself from laughing too loudly

That's when a flock of birds decided to hang around your shoulder as some sort of perch to rest on..

........ This made Melly drop it and laugh to her heart's content. It was such a sweet laugh that you can't help but feel butterflies in your stomach..(´∀`)

After Melly laughed,, the flock of birds had decided to go the ground to explore a bit more..

This gave Melly the perfect oppurtunity to walk up to you with a hug and a chaste kiss on your lips, along with a cheeky remark

"My, seems like I'm not the only one who wants to be with you today, honey.."

The both of you watched the birds and fed them a little bit of your guys' leftover food from earlier..

All while wrapping your arms in each other's backs as you take in your surroundings

Leaning her head against your shoulder, Melly said in no more than a whisper

"Thank you my love, this is exactly what I've been needing this for quite some time. To spend time with the two most precious things to me: the insects and you."

She then pressed a deep and loving kiss to your lips, to which you also returned with an equally deep and loving kiss of your own..
