Precious Metals, a new visual novel I'm working on.

Plot: A group of 5 teens in small town America struggle with interpersonal issues as well as familial struggles. In the middle of all of this aliens invade the earth and disrupt not only their lives but the whole world. After the fallout we follow the teens, the government, and the aliens as they navigate a drastically different world.

Precious Metals is a visual novel heavily inspired by comics books. It uses the aesthetic of comic panels for backgrounds and action as well as speech bubbles.

Settings

Chevalier City: A bustling metropolis of trade and corruption where powerful business men first begin to notice the alien threat.

Platville: The small town in middle America where our heroes live and strive to be better.

Anastasia "Stacy" Bright: The smart and charming group mom trying to maintain the family she has found after the tragic loss of her siblings.

Joey Mankiller: The rough around the edges loner who joins the group out of a need but sticks around as he finds sanctuary.

Oliver Anderson: The genius teetering on the edge of becoming a toxic self isolating adult struggling to make real friends in his final semester.

Asher Krigstein: Stacy's best friend and a rock for both his friends and family to rely on, often at the expense of his own well being.

Millicent Mesmer: The new girl whose never had a normal school experience hoping to find some stability even as she's moving fast into adulthood without having much of a childhood.
