it takes her a moment to process his question, he was always somewhat hard for her to understand & right now, her head was racing. there's an awkward smile that comes to her face, different from the usual sweet one she always wears for him. NO, SHE DIDN'T LIKE IT THERE. could she tell him that, though? certainly not. ❛ i like being with you, ❜ she tells him, refusing to answer about his home - the avoidance said enough. cupid was a terrible liar & she knew it. attempting it & offending him wouldn't be worth it.

𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆? it certainly felt like it. alastor was not the type to be so touchy, he seemed to dodge her affections like his life depended on it. it hurt her feelings, sure, but she knew better than to bring it up - she was the one crossing boundaries there. it was almost as if she was starting to give up on it, realizing that nothing would work. her arrows meant nothing to someone she couldn't even hit - her advances meant nothing to someone who brushed them off immediately. cupid was never one to give up easily, but slowly, she was starting to realize that it was not going to go as she wanted it to.

just spending time with him was enough to make her happy, as if it was something rare between them. alastor was usually in her office, it was practically half his, knowing that it wouldn't EXIST if not for him. if there was anything either of them could do, it was talk - about anything & everything. she had been rattling on about a new business idea, something she was sure would have people calling, when the feeling of a weight on her shoulder slowly shut her up. was she hallucinating? she had to be, surely & yet, she leans her head on top of his. readjusting at the uncomfortable feeling of his weird antler nubs digging into her face, she finds something nice & stays there. ❛ SO - my idea, right? i'm - i'm quite sure you have some input too, don't you? you always do. ❜

𝐂𝐔𝐏𝐈𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐄. hearing that alastor had a different opinion left her feeling more insecure than she could have imagined - one of the reasons she had agreed so quickly to allow him to help. she had good reason to doubt that he was some kind of makeup expert, but cupid would trust him. she did with most things & besides, alastor was something of a PRETTY BOY himself - maybe he had tried his hand with makeup before. taking a good look at his face, she could honestly say that the idea didn't surprise her that much. it made it a little bit easier, but not that much.

the idea that he needed to FIX anything about her face at the moment made her very, very sad - but maybe, whatever touches he happened to add would give her a hint at his preferences. the two of them were quite opposite, something cupid had wondered whether or not effected how much he liked her. alastor didn't seem to like people who were too much like him, but he didn't seem to like ANYONE all that much. ❛ you aren't making me look silly, are you? ❜ he would deny it, she knew that - cupid had never wanted a mirror so badly before. ❛ have you used makeup before? ❜
