i usually don’t like to get personal online, but i’ll make an exception just this once. i know i haven’t been a fan of this game for very long, and ive been posting about it on here for even less, but ever since i played the first game back in october ive absolutely fallen in love with it. this game truly is something special, and it warms my heart to see such an incredible game still being talked about two decades later.

this little community psychonauts has is really amazing, there’s so many talented artists and the support i’ve gotten just from a few silly little posts so far is overwhelming, but in a good way. (like seriously—i’ve been posting for less than a month and ive already hit 1,000 likes. what is wrong with you people. /lh)

i don’t like to talk about it much, but i have struggled a bit with my mental health in the past. ontop of that, talking to people or sharing anything about myself can be extremely stressful for me. but, slowly, i’m trying to get myself into a better headspace, and weirdly, this game has helped me a lot. i wouldn’t have the confidence to post on here at all without it, for one. (someday i’ll be confident enough to reblog someone else’s post lol) there’s just something about having a game about mental health and recovery be right by your side on your own personal journey towards self improvement that’s so…special. that is the best way i can describe this game.
