hi (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ) i would like to ask, do you have any other poems that he wrote? i saw the "quiet love" one and now i'm curious.
hello! i do not doubt that he wrote other poems, but i cannot say i am confident that most of the available information on this subject is true. his journal was purchased by a private buyer, and, as far as i know, little has been released to the public. my point is, i do not feel encouraged to share from many sources claiming to be showing material written by him, because there is a likelihood they are unreliable. it is an unfortunate circumstance, but thank you for your kindhearted question! ଘ(*. .)

Hiiii ^^, I would like to ask you if you got any rare pics of Joseph or more recordings of his voicee :3 I feel like I saw everything and I cant belive thats it xdd
hello! there is another recording of him singing, but i heard it in a documentary, which i am struggling to locate again. the noise from the documentary and the narrator were playing over the clip, which is a bit irritating. i am trying to find a copy of this recording again, and especially a clean one. i know the feeling of seeing the same photos over and over again! i post most photos which i find interesting here or keep them, so you can always message me and we can talk!

is there any info on what josef was like as a lover? and if not, what do you think he was like?
thank you for your ask! it is an interesting question, and i will try to share some details of his love life!
⟡ irene was the daughter of a university professor. she met josef when she was 19 while he was a resident junior doctor in leipzig.
⟡ at the time josef fell in love with irene, he immediately ended things with a norwegian girl named almuth. (it is implied he had been seeing her.)
⟡ josef later told rolf that irene had “won his heart”, but at the time she was at the time upset by the thought of josef’s previous relationship.
⟡ their son, rolf, found that they never had a “proper marriage” due to the war.
⟡ while away, mengele would share written correspondence with irene. in his letter he would refer to her as “butzele” and himself as “butz” or “papili” as shared terms of endearment.
⟡ in 1944, shortly before irene was supposed to depart from her visit, she contracted diphtheria. she had to stay in the camp’s hospital for over a month. during that time, josef would visit her three times a day and read to her from le diamant by honoré de balzac.
⟡ they shared a second honeymoon together shortly after irene was released from the hospital.
⟡ in the process of fleeing, josef had an intimate affair with a nurse, whom he does not name in his writing. he trusted her to hold onto his research notes.
⟡ for a while after fleeing, josef met with irene in secret. due to the absence of josef, irene began seeking male companions. according to rolf she was on friendly terms with many men, but there weren’t any affairs. however, when josef discovered this he was infuriated, and they began fighting during their meetings.
⟡ irene never came with josef to south america, and they were divorced in 1954.
⟡ josef married his widowed sister-in-law, maria, in 1958.
⟡ during his later stay with the stammers, there is evidence that he had an affair with gitta stammer until 1974.
⟡ one account from a then worker on the farm states that they were “"always together. they walked everywhere together and were always sitting and talking to each other."
⟡ another account emphasizes, “mr. stammer seldom came to the farm. their children once told me that peter [mengele’s then pseudonym] and gitta locked themselves in the bedroom to be by themselves, making it clear they had a romance.”
⟡ wolfram bossert, who later sheltered josef, also stated that josef and gitta had an “erotic relationship.”
⟡ the most evidence comes from mengele’s personal diaries, where he wrote of gitta’s “beauty” and dedicated poems to her.
⟡ here is one of the poems [translated] which he wrote:

⟡ gitta denied having an affair with josef, but claimed that he would have brief erotic affairs with the young female farmhands hired by the family to satisfy himself.
i hope maybe this has some interesting information, but i apologize for a bit of it is quite mundane (i.e. common knowledge)! ⸜(*ˊᗜˋ*)⸝
if you feel there is anything inconsistent with what you know or would like to see sources, please let me know!

I want to say I appreciate your dedication to Josef Mengele a lot of things are forgotten as the years go on and it takes a lot of time to study up on someone. He was still a person after all and it’s interesting to know of his personal life.
aww, thank you! this is a very sweet ask! i agree with all that you say. i have appreciated everything that i learn on here. so many people are so kind hearted and i try to be this way too, haha. i hope i don’t come off as a boastful person. it’s really just my interest! (ᵔ◡ᵔ)

I find it rather interesting how Josef Mengele was in hiding for so long and the authorities knew where he was they just didn’t see his crimes as anything major
yes! some who got close to him just didn’t believe that he did it. he surrounded himself with nazi sympathizers early on, and many became loyal to him.

do we know what the injury that got him sent off Ukraine was?
thank you for the question! ( ˙ ᗜ ˙ )
i could not find anything that detailed exactly what his injury was.
it is speculated that parts of mengele’s ss file may have been stolen or lost during copying. although i’m not sure if the nature of his injury would be described there. for example, in 1943 he was in a motorcycle accident, which was recorded in his ss file. but, the recovered report simply stated that he was “injured” in the accident, so no description of the injury itself.
if anyone knows something i do not, please correct me!

Hello! Do you have any idea what Josef could have written on these drawings?
I only know about that part with "He who works long, lives long."
https://www.alexautographs.com/auction-lot/josef-mengele_B678502696
Thank you ❤️
thank you for sharing!
i honestly struggle to read his handwriting, but i was able to make out some things on the picture which i honestly hadn’t noticed before!

written next to the three figures (circled in green) is ‘wege zu kraft und schönheit’. this is the title of a 1925 german cultural film. the title translates to ‘ways to strength and beauty’. the three figures directly reference the contents of the film.
the lutheran priest (circled in purple) is complaining about taxes, as stated by the source you listed!
the man (circled in red), from what i found, seems to be repeating a saying or poem. ‘hasch mich, ich bin der herbst, ich habe auch noch warme tage.’ which roughly translates to: ‘___ me, i am autumn, i still have warm days.’
i could find evidence that this has been documented being said, but i couldn’t find any source or origins.
next to the bird (circled in blue) is written ‘pieps pieps’, which is the german equivalent of the sound a bird makes (i.e. chirp, tweet)
lastly, written next to the man resembling napoleon (circled in yellow) is the term ‘dem volke’ meaning ‘the people’.
this is the best i got out of it! if you would like to add to the bits i didn’t mention, or expand on/correct parts i did, it is greatly appreciated!

Other than the experiments, how was he as a person? Was he kind etc..
hi! i will try to do my best answering this question!
please keep in mind that the accounts given are mostly from family and close friends and may seem sympathetic; some of his family continued to argue on his behalf even after the war. it is not my intentions to express pity or label him as worthy of commiseration!
mengele was described as charming, humorous, and sociable.
there is much to suggest that mengele was extremely ambitious, even from a young age. one of his peers from school described him as having a “passion for fame”. mengele had reportedly told the same friend that he would one day read his name in the encyclopedia.
his first wife, irene, and his former professor both suspected he was depressed, though they came to this conclusion at different points in time during the war. accounts from his colleagues indicate that, were mengele depressed, they did not believe it had to do with his work.
“I knew Josef Mengele as an absolutely honorable, decent, conscientious, very charming, elegant, and fun-loving person, otherwise I would not have married him. I came from a good, wealthy family and I had plenty of opportunities to get married. I think his ambition finally became his undoing.”
- irene wrote this in her journal as the tension in their marriage had begun to worsen.
there is more that can be said, although i find it is hard to do without going in-depth! this alone is not a complete reflection of mengele. from my understanding that’s not what this question was asking for!
i apologize, for i am not a good writer! if you feel there is anything inconsistent with what you know or would like to see sources, please let me know!
