The second official Maadwest video is here!! I am so deeply proud to share. My friend Joe heard the song, sent it to his friend Mikai, who reached out to me and said he wanted to shoot a music video for it in Yosemite. 4 months later, we have this piece! It’s been a long difficult year filled with national tragedies and a lot of sadness. One thing that has continued to bring me joy, is art! And for me, that venue is Maadwest. You always have your art no matter what. I hope this video and song bring a little bit of joy to your day <3

PREMIERE: Maadwest “Teleport” Music Video

Los Angeles booze punk band, Maadwest, are dropping a music video for “Teleport,” the latest single off their upcoming album I Can’t Believe We’re All Idiots, and we’re excited to premiere it here at That’s Why We Musyc.

“We just had an idea and ran with it,” said guitarist Matty McNamara.

Most music releases are planned weeks and months in advance. Maadwest, however, thought up the idea one night and decided to roll with it the next morning.

McNamara and his friend Shawn Harris of The Matches came up with the concept on Friday night and pieced together the parts on Saturday morning. And now, here it is, on Monday, completely finished.

The song itself is a stomping rush of energy, with its beach pop sound and playful antics. The video shows McNamara slowly and introspectively walking down a Los Angeles neighborhood. The video couldn’t have come at a better time, just in time for summer.
