Why Psychology?

My academic major was Psychology. I now have a BA degree and I rarely use it, except perhaps to overanalyse myself! HA! Psychology is a complex and interesting subject. Growing up I experienced many emotional issues due to a mentally ill mother who never got help and abused me. My school counsellor was such a help when I needed desperately to find hope and understanding in a difficult time of my life. She inspired me to try and help over children who may be going through the same problems I did and parents, who like my mom, desperately need an intervention. Although I do not have a job in that field at the moment, I don’t regret all the things I learned during my studies.

Awesome TV Series

One of the most exciting things about my week is turning on my favorite TV series, sitting back and enjoying it. I have a few, but right now my favorite one has to be Parenthood. I relate to this show in so many ways. There always seems to be a question, a dilemma, something to sort out when it comes to kids or family. This show makes it humorous and adds a fun twist to everyday life. The actors are awesome. It also, and this might sound bad, makes me feel like, well- I might not have it so bad after all!

Florida Vacation

My very first trip to Florida has to be the most memorable vacation I have had. It was the first time seeing the ocean and it was beautiful. It stretched for miles and miles making the Earth look almost endless. The night air was so fresh and salty and sitting on the dock watching the stars and listening to the waves was the most peaceful I have been in a long time. I was also 8 and half months pregnant with my first child! It was hot! Very hot! I have fun pictures and memories of trying to play put-put golf with a huge belly sticking out! It was awesome, will never forget it.

  Socializing Through The Years

I was not until about my junior year of high school that I realized how fun high school could be. I really started getting out there and having fun and met a lot of great people. I started dating and going out with groups and really can say that I had the time of my life. Summers were filled with long days at the beach and winters were spent working with my friends at a movie theater and hanging out at our favorite restaurants. It was a great time that I will always cherish. And I would not change anything about my Junior year of high school.

My Daughters

I have not done a lot in my life. I did not finish college and I don't have a ton of money. I am a at home mom. I am sometimes not proud of that. I always wanted a career. But when my daughters came along I could not imagine not being with them. I am so proud of the little people that they are. They are smart and kind and will go far in life and I get to take credit for some of that. Being a good mom is my biggest achievement so far in life and I will try not to feel bad for being a at home mom.

What The Future Holds

I have a lot of plans for the future. My long term goals include my husband and I getting a house so that my kids can have their own rooms and a backyard. I would also like to buy a new car that is not held together with duct tape and hope. I also plan to go back to school as soon as I can take out student loans to pay for the courses. I would love to be a paralegal and work for a criminal defense attorney. Helping to prepare cases and to do legal research. I have a lot of things that my husband and I are looking forward to.

Extra Hours Fun

In the spare time I would like to spend with my child. I take tuitions to poor students, and like to do online data entry jobs. I would like to take many projects from various fields and do it. (Schools, colleges and hospitals etc) I am learning more business ways which can be done from home like making toys, creative things, etc at my spare time. I wish to learn stitching from which I can stitch my own dress with latest models. I wish to put mehandi, hair styles and makeups to brides; I wish to do a beautician work.

Inspiring People

My grandparents and their generation can hold my attention like no other. They lived through so much in their lives and have seen things I can only imagine. The hard work and things they endured inspired me to see the value of working for what I want. Taught me not to be afraid of struggling and fighting for what I want. They are also very direct and say what they mean. I respect that even if it sometimes comes across as mean spirited. They've been through so much and doesn’t sugar coat anything and I love it. I strive to be that way and to live up to the standards of hard work and determination they have set for me. When I'm having a hard time with something I think about them and the stories of hardship they have told me and realize that no matter what I'm struggling with I will endure and come out better off on the other side.

Living By The Seaside

My favorite place in the house is in the backyard. I live on the beach side and am only two doors from the beach. I love hearing the waves from the backyard while I am doing gardening. I can spend hours in my backyard and never get bored. I have a vast number of beautiful plants growing which I tend to take care of every weekend. I ensure I dedicate a couple of hours a week to the garden, particularly the backyard. I also have a hothouse which I enjoy spending time in. It is incredibly how fast plants can grow.

Difficult and Tiring Week

I feel very tired and weak this week. Well, who would not be tired when you have three essays to write, one nonprofit business plan to make and one speech to memorize. Oh well, that is all because I am trying to improve my grades for the midterms. I am not really the studious type of student but I can say that I am responsible. I make sure to do my part and this week happens to be one of the most tiring and difficult weeks for my entire senior year. I am already done with my essays but I still have to work on with the business plan and speech. Oh, I hate memorizing speeches. I find it so difficult to speak in front of the class. I usually forget a line or two despite my efforts in memorizing the whole speech.  I guess I need to exert more efforts this time around.

Hammonasset: My Little Dose of Paradise

The best part of the year for me, is the . I look forward to traveling to all sorts of destinations around Connecticut, especially to Madison, where Hammonasset is located. This area is breathtakingly beautiful with exquisite views of the widespread sky. This park has a trail where I love to take brisk runs on, after I jump in the water to dry off. This beach is like my little dose of paradise. I love the environment, the people, and how much cleaner the water is versus the other beaches that are closer to home. I always bring my digital camera with me. I take at least 50 photos minimum. I enjoy looking at my summer photos in the winter time because I want to create that moment all over again.
